We stayed at this villa in Bali for a month, and I’ll start with the positives: the villa itself is excellent. It’s very spacious, with a large pool, a huge living area, a well-equipped kitchen, and big comfortable bedrooms. The gardens are beautiful, and the staff were outstanding—friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. The location is technically close to the beach (2.5–3km), but due to heavy traffic it can take up to 40 minutes to get there. The main drawback, and unfortunately it was a major one, is that the villa is directly next to a large construction site. This isn’t a small villa build, but what looks like a multi-unit apartment block. Work started at 8 a.m. and often went on until 10 p.m., seven days a week. The constant drilling and building noise meant we couldn’t enjoy the pool, gardens, or even have the living room doors open without it being uncomfortably loud.As a result, we ended up leaving the villa most days and spent about two of our four weeks staying elsewhere to escape the noise. It really undermined what could have been a fantastic stay.To be fair, construction is happening all over Bali, so complete quiet is rare—but this particular project made it almost impossible to relax at the property.Advice for future guests: Before booking, I would strongly recommend asking the host for up-to-date photos or videos of the surrounding area and confirming the status of construction. Once the project is complete this villa will be great.
