Great house!

Very close to beach and restaurants. Kitchen was nicely stocked, bathrooms were all very nice size, and plenty of room to eat, play games, etc. Would definitely stay there again!!

Beautiful Spacious House

This house had more than enough space for our huge family! The pool was just right, and you couldn't beat the location. Catching the sunrise from the rooftop was a nice treat

Good location

House was large enough to fit our family of 11. Beds were kinda hard. House was not far at all from the beach which was great. Pool was a big plus the kids really enjoyed it. If going again with a number of people I would consider staying again. The roof did leak in the half bath from the rain but someone came out the next day to fit it.

Family Vacation

It was a great home. A couple small things came up and they were there in less than a hour to take care. Home is great for a large family. We had 12 adults and 4 kids. Highly recommend and would use it again. Debbie

Great place to stay, but the pool was not heated

The property did not have a functioning pool heater, which I’m 99% sure when I booked it they said it was functioning, and then later changed it. Aside from that it was in a great location and large. Great for a big group right by the beach. A lot of the building was outdated with chipping paint etc but I guess that adds to the historic look. I would stay again

Perfect location

We had a great stay at this house with 3 families and kids ages ranging from 1 to 13. Location was perfect - 3 houses from the beach and because it is in mid-beach, it was never crowded. House was clean and everything worked as it was supposed to. We cooked dinner 3 nights and never had an issue. However, if you are expecting a hot tub, there isn't one. What looks like a hot tub is just an extension of the pool. If you want a large house with easy beach access and a great pool, then this is the perfect house. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend for a multi-family stay.

Needs better upkeep

The house is quirky and cool and the location is great. For the price paid, I expected a better-maintained house. This one had roaches, chipping paint, and a broken toilet. Weeds around the pool and outdoor shower to include poison oak. When we called the rental mgr, they did weed and put in a repair order on the bathroom, the plumber was there on our last day.

3 generations for family gathering

Great location, AC, pool, space. Could use some refreshes /fixes( peeling paint, doors fixed, outside umbrella update) but good cleaning. Need to bring own beach towels & beach equipment. Inside stairs ( small metal spiral) not for young children & older adults. Outside access but not covered. Could use plastic ware for pool & disappointed whirlpool access was locked so no hot tub or jets. Bring your own spices as what’s at house only what other guests leave behind.

I stated in this house 11 years ago and the house needs a lot of work on itThe house needs repairs

The house needs repairs!! The master shower did not work, the bathroom by the king bed on the first floor door knob needs to be replaced...my grand daughter was stuck in the bathroom. TV in the bedroom and the one near game tables did not work! The house needs to be cleaned. The kitchen needs updating.

Wheelhouse Review

The house is nice however the kitchen in not well stocked at all. No cleaning supplies, trash bags, etc. While the pool was great to have it was not well cleaned and we had to do it ourselves. There are not enough blankets and the bunk beds are very old. Light bulbs were out and no screens on several doors and windows. This could be such a nice property if it were better maintained.

Soccer Tourney in Savannah

The house is really cool, so cool I would have loved it if there were a book on the history (supposedly an old train station), and it was perfect for our group of parents and their teenage soccer players. Really only had issues with the fact that it needs some updating (very old), but it worked for us. If it was a family beach vacation, then I would not want to stay here. The biggest real complaint, is that for such a large house that sleeps so many, it is under supplied for kitchen use. Needs more pots and pans primarily, If you fill the bedrooms and try cooking for everybody, you might have some issues. We did spaghetti and meatballs, and ended up using one pan multiple times. All in all, I think the house is super cool. I run a rental home and would love to grab a house llike this, update it, bring back some of its original and tear out some of the 70's-80's to make it a cooler version of itself, but it has all the character you could ever hope for.

Great for Bach party!

Gorgeous home, even bigger than it looks in photos! Kitchen is a little outdated (mainly stove burners) and the outdoor grill is very tricky to get on. We had to go to the store and fill up the propane tank, but now hopefully it'll be full for you! (Keep your receipts if you want to be refunded for anything). Pool area is amazing, a short walk to the beach. The upstairs sliding door we could not get to lock but made them aware so hopefully this has been fixed. Outside umbrellas pretty wonky and so is the air hockey table. Only other complaints are only one outside trash bin that had some trash already in it so after 3 days of eating and drinking it filled up quick. They also only provide one roll of paper towels in the kitchen so grab some if you think you'll need them. Otherwise it's an awesome property and we are hoping to visit again. Communication with property managers was easy and they were always very kind!

Wheel house not that great experience

First, Kitchen stove not at all in using conditions, second 16 only can sleep but listing said 19, AC is not in full working condition. Swimming pool jet or any other feature is not working. Next morning we have to call maintenance for water backups in sink, AC and swimming pool issues, addressed only first two. Overall not that great experience in stay but it was ok for 3 nights stay!!!

Not what it was supposed to be....

Although great location and good size, the property was not as listed. We had multiple issues with the property after getting there. The hot tub was not heated and when we asked for the hot tub to be fixed, maintenance came out, drained the tub, and then left. The tub then made a horrible screeching sound for HOURS after. When maintenance came back the second time. They stated that the Spa could not be fixed and that the controls were behind a locked box so they weren’t accessible, they did however then refill it. This was very upsetting due to the house being picked largely in part of the pool and hot tub. The dryer was very loud and cranky making it difficult for nearby rooms to sleep. There we not nearly enough cups. The propane tank in the grill was *almost empty. Just full enough to start cooking and then realize halfway through that there wasn’t enough and we had to run to get more. Further, the upstairs of the house was accessible by outside stairs mainly, which was an issue with the weather being wet and cold. The second option to get upstairs was a narrow, spiral, staircase that was unusable to over half our party due to how narrow it is. Poor experience over all, will not be coming back or recommending to others. For the cost you would expect better.

Great Family Vacation

Our family had a wonderful time staying at the Wheel house. The location to the beach was fabulous. Everyone enjoyed hanging out at the pool after the beach. There was plenty of room for the family to have their own space. The property management team responded quickly and courteously to any of our concerns. The family loved it so much they’d like to return!!!

gymnastics meet

We stayed here with a group of six gymnasts and their moms during a gymnastics meet in Savannah. The house was spacious and suited our needs for the weekend. Other than the master, the beds were not extremely comfortable. The bunk beds are so hard you wouldn't want to sleep on them. There was also a rat living in the laundry room. I'm sure pest control has probably taken care of that situation though.
