Romantic colonial home with fireplace & terrace

Located in the charming residential neighborhood of Candelaria on the north side of Antigua, this romantic modern colonial home was designed by a famous American Architect and features vaulted ceilings, stone accent walls, and beautiful outdoor spaces with volcano and ruin views. Just around the corner, you can find ruins and Cerro de la Cruz with Antigua’s Central Park, main attractions, and more within walking distance, only seven blocks away.

This two-story home features two bedrooms. Upstairs, the bedroom features a queen bed with French doors that open out onto the apartment’s terrace. The master bedroom, located on the ground floor, is spacious yet cozy with a king bed and its own functional fireplace. Both bedrooms feature a desk workspace and their own private bathrooms with a hot water shower. There is an additional half-bath downstairs. The home’s living and dining area features ample seating for guests and their visitors as well as a functional fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything guests will need to prepare meals during their stay including a refrigerator, stove, oven, and tableware.

Casa Romantica features ample outdoor spaces for dining, relaxing, and more. Downstairs, the house opens out onto a private garden patio with fountain. Surrounded by beautiful stone walls, plants, and remnants of the nearby Candelaria ruins, there is an outdoor seating area and traditional fountain. On the spacious second-level terrace, guest can enjoy a dining area for four, a hammock, and stunning views of Antigua’s surrounding volcanoes.

Fabulous and unique accommodation

This superb property located on the outskirts of Antigua yet close enough to easily walk into the town was extremely comfortable with large sunny internal balconies. Amazing interiors and quiet and peaceful away from the hubris of the town. Thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay and would look nowhere else.

What a fabulous property. We felt like we were staying in an authentic castle setting. It was a challenge to find at first and not easy to enter(you have to be met by manager at a specific time) and was left to wait outside until someone arrived to let us in. But worth the wait. This is not an overnight stay but an experience!

We loved our stay at Romantic colonial home. The place was so beautiful and the courtyard was exquisite built around the ruins of the old city of Antigua as is the historic design throughout much of Antigua. The location was ideal to everything including countless restaurants, museums, spas, and historic sites. We had a little diificulty with check in because hotel up the street had the same address and the phone number went directly to the hotel . Once we checked in and sorted out things everything worked out beautifully. We loved every minute of our stay. Thank you.

Nice spot in Antigua

The house is charming. It is large and roomy, with one bedroom upstairs and one downstairs, which provides lots of privacy. It's about a fifteen-minute walk to the central park. The roof has a good view of Fuego and other mountains however there is no furniture or places to sit. The house has a washing machine and clothesline. You will need to provide all of your own things such as coffee, sugar, salt, etc. There is no bottle or drinking water filter so bring your own. If you plan to stay, long bring extra toilet paper. Overall, a really nice place.
