About this property

This cozy cabin features updated appliances and furnishings. The home is was complrtely remodeled in 2022 with all new furnishings and appliances. One bedroom and one full bath plus laundry facilities on the main floor. Two bedrooms and one full bath on the upper level. Spacious kitchen - well appointed with coffee maker, toaster, griddle, electric pressure cooker, pots, pans, bakeware, dishes, wine glasses, etc... The upstairs prinary bedroom has a One king bed, smart TV and a view of the river from the private balcony. Also upstairs is a ski themed bunk room. The bunk room has a full bed, 2 twin daybeds, a triple bunk and a smart TV. one queen bed, one full bed and 6 twin The main floor guest room has a queen bed and a cozy rocking chair for a quiet place to enjoy a good book. We have high speed fiber optic WIFI for all your streaming needs.. Large deck with new (2023) hot tub, outdoor dining and living areas, covered gas grill and Ooni pizza oven. Roast marshmallows over the fire pit or relax in the hammock and hear the sounds of the roaring Wenatchee River. Located just 7 miles from Lake Wenatchee and 16 miles from historic Leavenworth this home is ideally located. You can hike, bike, swim and float in the summer and ski, tub, snow mobile in the winter. Ice Storm

Picked the coldest time of this year to stay, started snowing and didn't stop. Temperatures were so cold. The cabin stayed warm and the owners were very helpful. Would love to make all of the floors in my home the same as the main bathroom floor there. It was warm and comfortable, best place in the house to step.

Beautiful cabin near Leavenworth

This cabin was PERFECT! 6 of us stayed here for New Year’s Eve weekend. It was extremely clean and had everything we needed. It was about 30 min from Leavenworth, which was perfect for us because we didn’t want to deal with the Leavenworth traffic. The hot tub was the highlight of our trip (which easily fit all 6 of us), but the entire cabin was so perfectly managed. The fire place inside, the fire pit outside, stocked fire wood, ample blankets, the kitchen appliances, the smart TV- everything was really ideal. It was very clean. The living room and kitchen was wonderful for us to hang out and have dinner. We cooked several meals in the well stocked kitchen and didn’t need any appliances or pans. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing cabin trip!

Mountain getaway

Great cabin in Ponderosa community near Plain, WA (about 35 minutes to Leavenworth). It was decorated just beautifully for the holidays. It was cozy and inviting. Loved our stay!

Great family retreat

Our family spent Christmas at this perfect retreat that fit our family and dogs perfectly. The house setup was perfect for our multi-generational family. It was well furnished and decorated nicely for Christmas including a Christmas tree. Great fully equipped kitchen and a large family room with plenty of seating for all of us. The bedrooms were nicely furnished and decorated with comfortable beds. The yard was great and perfect for the dogs to run around. We had a fantastic Christmas here and will definitely be back. Thank you for a great experience.

We are long time Washington residents. We love to travel and visit places near and far. We fell in love with the Leavenworth area and especially the Ponderosa Community. We are looking forward to making many memories there with our children, grand children, family and friends.

Why they chose this property

After looking for a vacation home for over a year we found this wonderful property. The owner's built this home for their family in 1989 and you can feel the love and warmth that they poured into it from the moment you walk in. We were instantly drawn to it.

What makes this property unique

The home has a open floor plan. Your whole family can gather in the dining area or sit in the big comfy sectional. It is a wonderful place to reconnect with extended family or just cozy up for a couples retreat. The backyard faces the Wenatchee River. You can roast marshmallows around the fireplace and listen to calming sounds of the Wenatchee River. There is ample seating on the deck and around the fire pit.
