About this property

Oxford Tiny House - come and experience tiny house living! Set on 10 acres.

Oxford Tiny House is set on our 10 acre lifestyle block in Oxford, North Canterbury, New Zealand. Approximately 45 minutes from Christchurch.
Oxford Tiny House has the creature comforts you can't live without! Sleeps up to four guests. There is power and a plumbed toilet so there's no need to worry about a compost toilet here!
We have very friendly chickens and three steers.

Due to previous issues WE NO LONGER ACCEPT BOOKINGS FOR BRIDAL PARTY GROUPS (bride, groom, bridesmaids, groomsmen) attending weddings, hens party, stag do.

Sorry, no children under 2 years old. Young children must be actively supervised especially by the steps/ladder and if in the loft. (There is no safety barrier at the opening to the loft).
Downstairs there is a kitchen with a gas hob, fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave. In the bathroom there is a shower with instant hot water, plumbed toilet and vanity/sink.
There is a separate downstairs living room with television (the sofa bed can be made into a double bed if required).
In the loft there are x2 single mattresses at one end and a queen mattress at the other.

Our house is on the lifestyle block too. We don't allow domestic pets but we may be able to accommodate horses if you are attending an equestrian event in the area. Advance notice is required. We do have cattle (3 steers).

Close to Waimakariri golf course, Oxford & View Hill tennis courts, kayaking at the Waimakariri Gorge and Ashley gorge or Waimakariri River, hiking, mountain biking....

We enjoyed everything about our stay in this unique property. We received a warm welcome; the tiny house was very well designed and built, clean, well-equipped, and fascinating to look through in detail, and the surrounding area (chickens included) was so much better than staying in a motel in a town. Why they chose this property

We love the peace and quiet of rural life and the mountain views. Away from the hustle and bustle but still only 45 mins to Christchurch. The closest supermarket is approximately 5 minutes drive away so gathering essentials is not a problem. Porters ski area and Castle Hill is just 45 mins away.

What makes this property unique

My husband has built the tiny house - it's truly one of a kind! Experience tiny house living! This tiny house has been built on a truck trailer which meant we weren't restricted by the weight of the materials used so the tiny house is extremely well built. Complete with gas hot water, a flushing toilet, a great shower plus cooking facilities. Have a break away in the country, complete with friendly chickens!
