Communication with the host was so poor. They did not respond until after we checked out. The ice maker did not work. The pool was freezing and was not heated. There were no screens in the sliding glass door of the bedrooms. There was dirty underwear found next to the twin bed. There was also dog hair on the couches even though pets were not allowed. Laying on the master bed caused me to be itchy.

An enjoyable stay for Ripken

We stayed here with three other families in other units, as we were participating in the Ripken Experience nearby. This is a very nice and very comfortable unit with great views of the ocean just across road. The building complex itself is clean and well maintained and the pool area is very nice as well. To the make the unit even nicer I would suggest coffee tables or ottomans for both couches, a much larger TV in the living room and provision of a Keurig. We would definitely stay here again.

property was nice but the resident owners were rude

your property was very nice, clean and in a very nice and quiet location. however, the resident owners that sit at the pool day in and day out and do nothing but complain about everyone that stays there, is very uncomfortable. they made it very clear that they didn't want anyone that didn't own the condo to be there. so instead of enjoying the pool side, we had to listen to complaining and nagging the entire time we were there.

The only issue is the master bedroom mattress is so noisy when you move around and uncomfortable.We were disappointed with the maintenance of the pool this year. The parking lot drains during a heavy downpour clogged up and prevented us from getting to our vehicle one evening.

We had a wonderful time at the Anchorage II, and have already recommended it to family and friends! Everything from booking to checkout was streamlined and organized. Communication was amazing, and they even checked in on us (via text) during our stay to ensure everything was going well. The condo was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. The pool was lovely and easily accessible and the beach was right across the street! We felt safe at all times (we didn't venture out at night though) and the condo was reasonably quiet, especially at night. Myrtle Beach in general was fun with so much to see and do, and the people there were so nice. We would absolutely recommend this place and have discussed returning in the next couple of years! The only issue was that there was bleach in the garbage cans so when I brought the garbage down to the bin, the bags rubbed against my outfit and it got bleach-stained :( But I let them know and they said they would speak to housekeeping in order to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Recently returned from a week's stay and overall was an OK experience. The dining/living furniture was nice but the mattresses need replacing. The master king mattress literally had two large divots on either side of bed that you fell into. My kids also complained about the comfort levels of mattresses in the other rooms. Don't expect a good nights sleep. Also note for families, the nearest lifeguard is several blocks away and the "beach locker" had one broken chair and a thousand boogie boards. I did request fresh blankets for each bed and they were not delivered.

Reviewer Comments: Nice location, good lay out, needs carpet replaced badly,(beyond nasty), water pressure very poor, guest bath tub draining issues,(super slow)' curtain rod in LR would fall off when you tried to close and open curtains, Great washer and dryer,the bed (in MBR)is a story in its own, their was a dip on each side of the bed and a hump in the middle of it. The TV'S were small compared to most rentals. The remote in the MBR would not change any channels, I changed the batteries but it did not work. Nice pool, nice landscaping, could be super nice with a few changes. I would not rent again unless changes were made, also MBR needs a curtain at window to help block out light in case some one wanted to sleep in late.

Thanksgiving week stay at Anchorage Rentals

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed our stay, and had a lovely, quiet Thanksgiving with our family. We love the condo, its openness and its ocean views.There were a couple of things that were uncomfortable, however. The master bed has a terrible mattress - there is literally a peak that you can see in the middle! My husband and I were constantly rolling off either side! it was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Also, there was sand in our bed. we had to rewash the sheets and the mattress pad before we could get the sand out (we were not at the beach before we used the bed. the sand was definitely there before we were).also, the staircase to the loft is rough and splintering. On my way down, I put my hand on the railing and received a very bad splinter in my palm. We avoided using the railing after that, and noticing how rough it is all the way down.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed our stay last week . Our condo was clean and upgraded. Renovated kitchen was nice . Furniture new . Best part mattresses were in great shape. A plus for me . The only thing was the carpeting . I suppose it was clean but it was so old I was not comfortable walking on my bare feet. I used shoes the entire vacation. The exterior cabinets with beach chairs were difficult to find . They were in front next to the pool -no where near the others located near the barbecue area.There were maybe eight of them badly in need of repair. Doors in a few were hanging off and a few were not even locked. There seemed to be a lot of beach toys which I think people must buy and leave there. A good idea would be to take all the toys owners do not want ,clear them up and place them in a few cabinets for all the children to share. in addition all owners need to clean these out - they are a mess . We did have a problem opening sliding glass doors -contacted maintenance who came promptly.

It’s absolutely the best spot on the beach ... and we should know as we have returned over 20 years running! (Only once in 21 yrs due to Covid restrictions.) Anchorage II is conveniently located about halfway between Broadway at the beach and Barefoot Landing, close to tons of amazing golf courses, mini Putts, the old boardwalk area, many restaurants, and is only a 20 min drive to the aiirport & each of the Tanger Outlets. We have stayed in many condos over the years on the second floor, when our children were younger, and for the last decade on the third floor. We love the space that the extra loft bedroom and balcony provides! Unit 315, was clean, very nicely decorated, and had a spacious, well-equipped kitchen. Check in and out process smooth, communication was excellent with the rental agency. We can’t wait to get back to the Beach next year.

Reviewer Comments: We love the location of this rental, close to restaurants, shopping , golf and of course the beach.There are maintenance issues that should be addressed. At first glance the unit looks clean, but more attention should be payed to the windows and tracks and cleaning under the beds. The drapes in the loft are torn, there is a door missing to the laundry closet. The flooring on the balcony desperately needs attention. We had loose carpet on top of worn out carpet along with a few candy wrappers. The kitchen was well stocked. If the maintenance issues were dealt with it would be a great rentals

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I first found out about the Anchorage 1 & 2 condo rentals from . Check them out for awesome deals. Our time at Anchorage was a great time. This is our second time vacationing with this company. The condos are exceptional. Clean, stocked with bedding & bath linen, dishes, drink-ware, silverware, cookware, appliances, and cleaning supplies. Just like a hotel, they give you starting products (laundry & cleaning detergents, plus toilet and paper towels). Outside area is well maintained and pool is cleaned every morning. Property managers respond to emails and phone calls when you need them for questions and repairs needed. Our condo building is located within 10-20 yards from the beach. Parking is free and you don't need to use your car to get to the beach; they have their own beach access. Everything is considered comfortable and easy. Entertainment is within a 20 mile distance. Two major areas are BAREFOOT LANDING and BROADWAY AT THE BEACH. Lots of stuff to do and one of the best times is walking on the beach IN THE DARK! The law enforcement doesn't bother anyone while walking on the beach at night, no matter what the time. I would suggest to Google what is happening during the time of year you want to stay. Condo pricing (per day) was comparable to a 4-star hotel with more. Washer and dryers and also in the condos as well as refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and cook range/oven.Great stay and I will be returning to Anchorage again!!! Yee-haw.

Great location-poor mattress

Nice amenities, but cleaning staff did not do a great job… large dust bunnies under the beds, food debris & wrappers under couches & sock from previous tenant in the living room. The king mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced as it has rep large divets on both sides & a hump in the middle.. Several previous guests have commented on this and the property manager replied that it was replaced but it clearly has not been.

Dawn, Thank you for your review. We are so sorry to hear housekeeping missed several areas when preparing the condo for you. This is not typical of the cleaning standards so I will bring this to their attention. The owner did replace mattresses earlier this year and just replaced the master mattress a few weeks ago. The owner appologized for your discomfort and would like to offer a discounted stay for an off season time. Please let us know if you would like to come back. Again we are sorry for any issues. Will probably stay again

Property is in excellent location, near ocean and many local amenities. Unit was clean and only complaint we had is the mattresses need to be replaced. Very soft and significant displacement in the king and queen bed. Again, to reiterate, we would stay again given the cleanliness, distance to then beach and overall property appearance.

Family beach fun!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property was perfect for our family vacation. The condo was very clean, updated and comfortable. The private beach access led to a nice beach perfect for body surfing and boogie boarding.
