Beautiful Private Cottage 3 miles from the Sequoia Park Entrance
Tucked into the lower east side of Salt Creek Canyon sits this beautiful hand-crafted 580 square foot guest house on nine acres. Originally built by owner as a writing and painting studio in the late 1980s, it has an open floor plan with a wood beam ceiling and pine plank flooring. All wood furniture is made by owner. The screened in porch opens onto two wooden decks that over look a series of cascading ponds and Salt Creek farther below. A separate driveway from Salt Creek Road (also known as Craig Ranch Road) with carport provides parking and privacy. Location makes it very easy to get to where you want to go, whether it is to the park, to town or to the end of south fork and lady bug trail. A half mile walk or bike ride further up Salt Creek Road gives you access to BLM (Bureau of Land Management—public lands) and Case Mountain for great hiking and mountain biking trails, as well as, Salt Creek waterfalls. (seasonally winter and spring) It is a park all unto itself.

Perfect location! Great place, lots of amenities and tons of amazing local flora and fauna right on the property. We saw turkeys, bats, deer, bullfrogs, quail, hawks and more. It was exactly what we were expecting from the pics. Did not disappoint! Would definitely come back for another stay. The whole trip was magical!
Our stay at the cottage was exceptional. The location was perfect, offering easy access to the National Park. Every detail was thoughtfully attended to, making our stay incredibly cozy and comfortable. The private setting provided a peaceful and relaxing retreat. Highly recommend!
My husband and I stayed for four nights in this cute little cottage. It was perfect for us and I have to say the best VRBO we have stayed at. Martha and Rich’s attention to detail and communication, from driving directions to check in and out made everything so easy. Cottage so well appointed it was like living at home. Rich’s handmade wooden furniture is gorgeous and the plants, and orchids…just made you feel at one with nature. Greeted by deer and hummingbirds every morning in our private wooded sanctuary. Just a short drive to sequoia national park and three rivers downtown area. ( Brewery was great and little village store had excellent food.) Bonus hiking right down the road at BLM. They also had multiple books with hiking info for sequoia, kings canyon and Yosemite. Other books and DVDs. Highly recommend!
We loved every minute- it's a truly magical place, exceptionally appointed, with every need anticipated, and thoughtful, artistic details at every turn. We will definitely be returning.
My husband and I stayed here for a few days while on our honeymoon. It was such a nice and relaxing stay. Martha was great in communicating with us and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this cottage!!!
Our stay was perfect. The cabin is beautiful with so many unique touches. Kitchen and bathroom are very generously stocked with anything you might need. Thank you so much!
We loved our stay! The owners definitely put in a great deal of time and energy in the furnishings, decor and amenities to make this cabin relaxing and enjoyable. We couldn’t have been more thrilled the second we walked in the door and felt inspired and welcomed.

Perfect place to stay! Wildlife and close to the park.
This cottage is so calming and relaxing, both inside and out on the property. It is immaculately clean and comfortable. It would be a great place to stay if you needed to get away and do nothing else. Martha is a really neat person to talk to and she and her husband are obviously blessed with creative talents. I would definitely recommend this as a wonderful getaway!
The cottage is a tranquil, serene place to stay. It was clean, well-equipped with everything we needed, and featured thoughtful and homey touches throughout. We would definitely recommend staying here if you plan to explore sequoia national park - it’s just a quick drive away! 10/10.
We love quiet and off the beaten path places and this totally fit the bill. Very well appointed cottage in a beautiful setting. Also make sure to take time to explore the BLM land up the road!
The house ist best equiped , clean and verry comfortable and lovely decorated. The owner are very friendly and helpful! We enjoyed our stay in the peaceful surrounding very much.
Beautiful cottage, tastefully appointed. Tranquil location. We loved our stay here and couldn’t wait to get back to the cottage after hiking. Peaceful mornings with coffee on the deck in the company of hummingbirds.
