This was the perfect home base when we were in town for a wedding in Abilene. So peaceful. Ideal space and amenities for our family of six. We just wish we got to spend more time because it’s a great lodge for spending quality time together and enjoying the country. Beds are super comfortable and everything is impeccably clean. Ritchie is a great communicator and we had zero issues.

Great payed back stay

The location is out in the country which is what we were looking for. The house is large enough for us to all have our own space but also be able to congregate with space. We loved our stay.

Family Reunion Weekend

The South 40 Lodge was just the right quiet place to gather our family together for a reunion weekend. The lodge is very comfortable and well appointed with plenty of room to spread out and enough space to also entertain guests. Ritchie has a really nice property to stay in the peaceful central Kansas countryside.

Family Easter

We absolutely LOVED our experience at the South 40 Lodge! Lots of room inside for a sit down dinner, games, etc. More than enough space outside for the kiddos to hunt Easter Eggs and run out some energy! Very comfy beds, kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need. We will definitely be back!

Quiet country setting. Comfortable accommodations and amazing views. Dirt/gravel roads going to property but honestly better than some freeways I’ve been on! Our host responded almost immediately if there was ever a question.

Absolutely beautiful property. Owner lives closeby and made us all feel very welcome. Thoughtful finishing touchs let us know they truly cared. Huge yard and fields for the dogs to enjoy being dogs, pool table in the garage made for wonderful family time fun, as did the puzzles and board games in the cabinet. Kitchen was well stocked with all the things you could need to make wonderful meals with the family. This felt like home away from home. Thank you again for such wonderful accommodations. We had a great time enjoying each others company.
