Very Comfortable and Charming Cottage!

Excellent location for our stay. So close to the wedding venue at the Lodge at Ashford Castle and lovely to have access to the grounds at Ashford Castle. The Gamekeepers Lodge was the ideal spot for our family.

Amazing location and property

The house was beautiful and the location on the grounds of Ashford castle was magical and amazing. Lots of peaceful walks and things to see and do. Beautiful gardens and forest area to explore.

Charming and Cozy

As a gardener, I loved the setting. Wonderful patio and a small hidden garden were delightful. The Lodge was very clean and comfortable. The Property Mgr, Philip, was most accommodating and very informative about the surrounding area. Being so close to Ashford Castle didn't hurt either. I would definitely stay there again.

We had a lovely stay on the grounds of Ashford Castle. This cottage was cozy and comfortable. Cong is a wonderful village with great people. We particularly recommend the Hawk Walk at the Falconry School.

Very poor initial impression

When we arrived 9pm Friday 15th, we met with caretaker. The cottage was cold & when he turned on heating the oil tank was empty. There was no water in taps - mains turned off. When all sorted, water in shower was dangerously hot. This is illegal- probably faulty thermostat. I managed 1 shower between Fri.- Tues. I feel owner needs to be aware of our experience & would like to contact him. I paid a lot of money & very poor value because of all above. Please get back to me.

Idyllic

Beautiful house - a tasteful combination of modern and antique furnishings. Location could not be better - beautiful strolls and bike riding round Ashford castle. Thank you Patricia & Phillip for their excellent communication. Will be back!

Lovely property, perfect location. I am so appreciative of the great lines of communication with the owners. They were able to accommodate an unexpected check in time and we were very grateful. Beautifully appointed cottage. Would stay here again without a doubt!!

Very comfortable, clean and beautiful place! Also 5 Minute walk to Ashford Castle!

We came all the way from California and Patricia and Philip made the process really easy and were very tentative and quick to response to everything!
