An idyllic scene awaits in Shoal Bay, where a wide arc of white sand beach is adorned by a heritage lighthouse on one end and the striking Tomaree Head on the other. This small hamlet is a great base for enjoying the natural wonders of Port Stephens, including spotting dolphins in the wild, and embarking on hikes that finish with unforgettable views. The calm crystal clear waters of Shoal Bay are prefect for swimming, kayaking, fishing and stand up paddle boarding. Ride along and explore the scenic foreshore where you will find picnic tables and barbecue facilities, for the active guests you are able to hire Stand Up Paddle boards and Bikes.

At the eastern end of the bay is the magnificent Tomaree National Park where you can explore the paved Historic Fort Tomaree walk around the headland for the reminders of Australia's World War II coastal defense, from there you can enjoy the Tomaree Head summit walk for amazing breathtaking panorama views of Port Stephens and the NSW North Coast, if your lucky you can even spot whales during their migration season. Take the time to enjoy some of the stunning local beaches in the area Shoal Bay Beach, Zenith Beach, Wreck Beach and Box Beach.
Shoal Bay offers a selection of cafes, restaurants and takeaway fish and chips shops, enjoy a meal over looking Shoal Bay Beach at Shoal Bay Country club or explore the tastes of authentic Greek food at Atmos, take the time to sit and enjoy the views of Shoal Bay at Port Stephens Game Fish Club.

Pets are NOT welcome at this property.

To ensure the comfort of our guests and neighbours, we do not accept bookings for 'Schoolies' breaks/under 21yrs groups and under no circumstances do we allow parties of any sort.

Kindly note a deposit of 50% AUD of total amount will be charged at time of confirmation. An option of direct deposit and credit card is offered.

A $800 Security Deposit (PRE-Authorisation) IS TO BE Held. The bond will be processed prior to arrival. We only accept Mastercard or Visa.

You can check in anytime between the hours of 2PM and 5PM on Weekdays. On weekdays after-hours, weekends and public holidays there is an afterhours check-in service. If you require this service, please inform one of the members at LJ Hooker Nelson Bay prior to your day of arrival.

Payment for the booking warrants you and all guests staying will abide by the Code of Conduct for Short Term Rental Accommodation which can be viewed on our website which will be sent to you in your booking confirmation email. This property is a holiday rental, it is not a principal place of residence.

Could have provided more basic essentials such as soap for the shower, coffe and sugar for more than one cup, toilet paper for more than two people,. We hoast a property in Phillip island and we provide more than enough for our guests. Especially interstate or overseas travelers. But otherwise the property was fine. Deposit takes far too long to return. As we left the house as we would ours…

A beautiful place to stay
We were all impressed by the cleanliness of the property. Very well equipped and beautifully presented. Wifi was included in rental however no access details were provided. Using our mobile Hotspots came in handy. Look forward to coming again.

We loved staying here, close to everything & comfortable. The only thing that would make it better is an electric fry pan. We will be looking this place up for our next holiday

Good little property and location
Short walks to the shops, waterside and playground. Great little house for the price. Only issue for us as two families with young children, we couldn't fit the portacots into any other bedroom other than the main, and the layout of the living space afforded no quiet area to place bubs out of the way. Otherwise perfect.
