Matariki weekend

We were 3 generations meeting for a long weekend. Our first group arrived well after dark on a cold night. The lights had been put on, as had heaters in all the rooms, it was so lovely not having to fumble around for lights in the cold. The house was perfect for our group. Lovely wood burner and plenty of wood. Beautiful view of the mountain when the clouds cleared.

Great place, warm, had everything we needed and plenty of space

Just out of Ohakune a great older style house with lots of space. Good fire and heating ! Even table tennis in the garage to keep teenagers occupied when the weather isn't so flash!

Good for a group

This house had everything we needed and was very warm - key for a winter trip! We loved the fireplace especially and found the kitchen had everything we needed. We were surprised there wasn’t wifi but it wasn’t promised so we missed that in the listing. Not a deal breaker though. Very close to town!

Happy times at field house

2 families had 3 July nights at this property, quiet location but short 2 min drive to Ohakune town. Plenty of dry firewood, heaters, electric blankets and hot water bottles kept us comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. Having a Dry room was great after our couple of days skiing. Lounge/living/dining area a little bit small for 10 people, though it was fine

It was great for our purposes.

It was great for our purposes. Nothing flash but very comfortable and lots of room for eight adults and could have fitted more. The fire was lovely to come back to and there was heaps of firewood. It was wonderful to wake up to the view of the mountain and have the lambs frolicking in the fields nearby. Highly recommended
