It is perfect for a group that wants more space than a tiny hotel room at a price that doesn't break the bank.
With a living room, dining room, kitchen and 2 bathrooms we didn't feel cramped.
Everything broken. My husband needs to fix. We should have discount for maintenance done by my husband. Aircon so noisy in the master bedroom how can you sleep. House really needs a repair. Not really a recommendable to our friends.
DO NOT STAY HERE - Arrived 5pm to find hot water would not be available until the next day due to a timer. We had stone cold showers. There was cockroach poo above the stove on the wall, large cockroach had to be killed in the bedroom. Bathroom was not clean. There are no towels, unlike the photos online. Lawn is an over grown snake pit. Air con in the lounge is broken and does not function. The house is a fire risk from head to toe

Tired and Outdated
The 2 padlocks and multi key process before entering the property was very onerous and tricky with no keys marked and made us feel very unsettled especially with the run down neighbouring properties. This property is also in need of repairs and a face lift particularly from the front, in fact the website photo of the front of the property is not how it currently looks. The inside is very dated and the kitchen desperately needs updating. The Aircon in the main bedroom was so noisy that we couldn't use it.
Property not clean enough. Needs Repairs. Lawns terribly overgrown especially the rear yard. Portrayed as "accessible" however does not meet disability standards. Would not recommend this property.
In summary, this property is excellent in all aspects. The location is perfect, three minutes driving to Cessnock main shopping area, 10 minutes driving to Hunter Valley zoo, 10 minutes driving to Hunter Valley Gardens, cheese and chocolate factories. The home itself is very clean, everything you need is provided, the host didn't miss even the smallest details, it has beautiful big backyard. The hosts, Susan and tony are down to earth, very nice, helpful, and they replied to my enquires in no time. I will definitely recommend this accommodation, and definitely will stay there, if I can, in my next visit to Hunter Valley region.
Place for home base when visiting the vineyards on a budget
If you aren't planning on hanging about the house, on a strict budget then this is a place for you. Location is good only short drive to everything, in a quiet area.
Reasonably priced and close to the centre of town. Good communication with owner.

Quiet and cozy house in Cessnock
The house itself had an interesting layout with two bathrooms which was very handy. Some parts of the house are older than others but overall the stay was satisfactory. We were warned by a very nice next door neighbour that the neighbour across the street has broken into his house before and stole items, so we made sure to keep the house locked up while away and blinds shut too. Would have loved comfier couches in the living room! We mostly spent time around the dining table which isn’t as comfortable after a couple hours.

An okay stay
Clean property that is a little out of town. We arrived on a very hot day and the a/c could not keep up and kept tripping the power.
