This was the perfect spacious venue to accommodate our whole family in a serene setting with beautiful views. Our event was at Valcour Boathouse so the location was amazing as well. We only reserve 1 star from the 5 as the cleanliness was slightly below what we expected

The house and location were beautiful. There were so many things to do within a short distance. The stairs down to the water were tricky at the bottom making it somewhat difficult bringing our kayaks up and down.

Wonderful home in Plattsburgh

Family Weekend in Plattsburgh

We spent the weekend in this beautiful home to visit our son attending SUNY Plattsburgh. The home is located in a beautiful location on a private lake side drive. The kitchen was ideal for cooking for a group and the fireplace made everything perfect. The. updated bathrooms added a very nice touch. Overall excellent stay, highly recommend.

Plattsburgh House on Lake Champlain

The house was nicely furnished and the kitchen very well stocked. Overall a very good stay, but the oven and the washing machine were broken the entire time we were there and there were lots of cobwebs inside and on the deck furniture. Also, the access to the lake was overgrown. If those items had not been an issue, I definitely would have given five stars.

8/7/21 vacation.

It was a nice place with a beautiful view of LakeChamplain. I’m 75 so I couldn’t make it down the stairs to the water. Central A/C would have been a great plus. Overall it was a nice vacation. Also could use a dresser in the King bedroom upstairs. Thanks

Precious Cabin on the water

We came to support our nephew in a professional fishing tournament on Lake Champlain. The cabin has beautiful views of the lake and is within 15 min of many restaurants. The cabin was so comfortable. One constructive criticism would be to put a tv in the queen bedroom downstairs. Only 1 of 3 bedrooms had tv in them, so 3 adults piled in our 75 year old moms bed to watch tv. We still had a great time. We will rent again!

Plattsburgh lake house spring visit

We stayed for three nights. We loved the location and view. The accommodations were comfortable. The house was clean and well furnished. Only a few problems- no gas in grill; washing machine spin cycle didn't work and dryer was not very efficient taking very long time to dry- didn't appear to put out much heat. We didn't put on electric wood stove because there are loose wires under it so we were hesitant to touch it. We would like to rent again in future. The house is spacious and view is awesome.

Lovely home

This home is right on the lake with lake views from all of the main rooms as well as the master bedroom and an office which can double as an extra bedroom (convertible couch). The home is perfectly clean on the inside and has a kitchen that is very well equipped. Beds/pillows are comfortable. Seating is, likewise, very comfortable and generous with various places to find a spot to read and reading lamps are excellent. It is tucked away on a quiet lane so that was a bonus. We drove up on a Sunday night and hit a deer and thankfully, able to drive the car on in, but then realized we really needed to have it hauled off for repair/demolition (decision still pending). All the back and forth with insurance people/towing companies took a fair amount of time from each day until it was finally towed late Friday morning. We were supposed to vacate Friday morning. The owners were wonderfully accommodating in allowing us to stay on. That was a blessing. Would highly recommend this house. It’s clean, comfortable, generously sized and beautifully positioned on a lovely lake.

The owner of this home lives in Colorado and it is clear they do not care about the comfort of those who stay in the home. The bad reviews are due to the house being 63 degrees and the heat not working. The house was filthy, dirty towels in a closet we were trying to find extra blankets because of the cold. Every eating utensil had dried food on it, the floors had inches of dust and dirt, the shower had hair in the drain. We emailed 7 times on Friday when we arrived to have someone help us with heat. At 11:00 PM we received an email saying someone was coming to check the heat. We waited up until 1 AM, no one came. My husband had to go underneath the house to the crawl space, luckily he is handy and he got the heat working. We tried to communicate with the owner and with customer service of VRBO, but no help. Very disappointed in this house and the people involved in renting it to us.

Looking for a blanket for the bed, we found closet of dirty towels.
The temperature of the house, it got down to 60 when we were sleeping, we woke up at 3 AM freezing.
The thickness of the only blanket on the bed.

Absolutely incredible stay on Lake Champlain! The views are unbeatable and the house was maintained perfectly. We had easy check in and the rental team proactively reached out with any and all details we needed for our stay. Would absolutely recommend this house!

House was clean, lovely lake views but lake frontage was rocky and slippery. It was difficult to access the lake without an inflatable raft. There is an air conditioning unit in one of the upstairs bedrooms otherwise it was very warm in the house Overall good experience and nice property

Beautiful home & superb views!

We very much enjoyed staying at this home. It was a great open space and worked perfectly for us & our family who were able to come visit. The only draw back is the lack of air conditioning, but that's standard for this area of the country, few places have ac and when you visit in the middle of the summer that's the chance you take. Of course our time was right in the middle of the 2 weeks of hot days that the area gets each year. This is still a wonderful place to stay, the views are fantastic, do it if you visit the North Country!

Great little place with FANTASTIC views!

We had a great time with family at this nice little place! Keep in mind there’s no air conditioner during so it’s quite warm in late July but I’m sure it’s perfectly fine the rest of the year. Definitely worth the money! Wonderful people to work with!!

The house is rustic and has a Vermont feel to it. Yet, it is right near everything in Plattsburgh.

It is an architecturally beautiful home in the most scenic section of Plattsburgh.
