About this property

To all booked and future guests: As your host, I want to assure you I will be implementing extra cleaning measures due to COVID-19. As a retired RN I know what needs to be done to keep you safe while you enjoy your time at Bill’s Place. Also, Bill’s Place is situated on 3 acres of property which means guests are not in close proximity to other people.
2 queen bedrooms and 1 double bedroom on upper level, 1 double bedroom on lower level.
3 night minimum stay on long weekends.
New 6 person hot tub just off a newly constructed back deck. Includes patio furniture and a new barbecue (Weber 2021). NO EXTRA CHARGE for use of hot tub.
Fire pit with sturdy Adirondack chairs, cushions and tables.
Screened summer room attached to the house.
Very large play area for children. Lots of outside games provided for guests. Corn Toss Boards. Badminton.
Includes a full size volleyball net.

Great location and the facility has several amenities to keep you occupied.

Location was central (10 minutes) to the village and downtown Collingwood. Ideal for our stay, and the house was clean and had several things to keep us entertained during our stay

Great getaway

Barb was very easy to reach during our stay to answer any of our questions and made the check in very simple. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. We especially liked that things were labeled and easy to locate. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus, along with the games set up in the backyard. Thank you for a great stay!

Hello, my name is Barb and I am a retired RN. I live in the Waterloo region with my husband Carl. In 1967 my father (Bill), built this home just outside of Collingwood on 3 acres of land because of his love for the outdoors. It is a beautiful property so my husband and I decided to share it with other people who love country life.

Why they chose this property

Bill's Place is only 3 km. from the town of Collingwood and an equal distance to all the ski slopes including Blue Mountain, Craigleith, Osler Bluff and Georgian Peaks ski areas. The property is also close to Wasaga Beach (The longest fresh water beach in the world) and Craigleith beach. The house is well back from the road making it safe for small children to play. There are many mature trees offering privacy and beauty with no fences to obstruct the view of the mountains.

What makes this property unique

The property is 3 acres in size. 1/2 is groomed and the other 1/2 is bush with Black Ash Creek running through the back of the property. The home has an attached screen room with lots of seating to enjoy a bug free summer days/evening. The property is very large so there is a fire pit with chairs to enjoy roasting marshmallows with the kids. A variety of outdoor games (volley ball. Bocci ball, badminton, corn toss boards, etc.) are also provided as well as indoor games (board and card games) to play with the kids if you have a rainy day.
