Telluride sits in a box canyon, not your average mountain town. That means there is only one way in and one way out (not that you will want to leave!). Steep forested mountains and cliffs surround it, with waterfalls right out of a fantasy film at the head of the canyon. Numerous weathered ruins of old mining operations dot the hillsides like relics from the wild past. Go explore!

Great location, easy check in, perfect for two couples
Clean, perfect location to gondola and a short walk to awesome restaurants. Very nice welcome gift and notebook including everything we needed to know. We will be back! Thank you!
We visited during ski season and the property was in a great location, close to the Coonskin chairlift. The property was very clean and the hosts were incredibly nice. The place was also fully stocked - anything you could need they had provided in terms of supplies, which was very nice as I've stayed at a number of a places where you need to buy dish soap or there are only two water glasses. The only con was the queen bedroom tends to run a little hotter than the rest of the place. Would definitely stay again though.

Hi Nichola!
Thank you for your review. The owner of Boomerang Lodge #5 was in the condo after you left and we were able to get a update on new windows for the unit and that will help with heat factor in that bedroom. Next winter you will see brand new windows!
As previous reviews, this unit is older and a bit worn but it was clean and the location was excellent. Just a short walk to the Main Street area and also to the gondola to Mountain Village. The unit had newer appliances, comfortable beds and plenty of linens. Since we were coming from the mid-west, we appreciated the portable humidifiers that helped us acclimate to the dry mountain air. We also agree with other reviews suggesting adding a room darkening blind to the sky light in the upstairs bedroom. The room gets very bright when the sun rises.

Spacious and clean and close to skiing
This condo was nicely done, very warm and spacious, with great windows and a super convenient location near Coonskin lift and the market. Everything was very clean and nicely appointed, with one exception. The pots, pans, cookware and utensils are old, broken or missing, and need to be replaced. While the dishes and glasses were fine, and the appliances are nice, the remainder of the kitchen items were substandard. Overall, however, we really enjoyed the condo, especially the big cozy sectional.

Telluride for softball camp
People we dealt with on the booking side were GREAT! The location was right next to a grocery store. It was on the other side of town from the softball fields but good for getting exercise. The place was clean with extra towels. We appreciated that they came over in the pouring rain to try and help assist us with my daughter locking herself out of the downstairs bedroom and bathroom. There wasn't a key so they probably need to take those off if there isn't one. The unit had a washer/dryer unit that is 1 unit that does both but i could never get the dryer to turn on. A previous renter said it takes forever. So, the only negative is that I could not do laundry and forgot to let the staff know. Overall a great place for the money!

Lots of positives, a couple easily fixed negatives
Our party consisted of two married couples and one adult child. The kitchen, living room, and dining room were very spacious. The kitchen was especially nice – as large as in many homes, updated, and well equipped. Nice touches like the TV being on a swivel allowing viewing from living room, kitchen, and dining room, which was great to follow the NFL playoff games while eating. The bathrooms were mostly old but acceptable and had nice touches like plenty of places to hang towels and shelving, plus a good supply of towels. The location of the unit was great too – very short walk to Coonskin lift or bus stop with two minute ride to gondola or town on cold days. Too bad streets and sidewalks were an ice rink. Parking garage was very convenient and included ski storage lockers, and parking on street for second vehicle was close by with pass for A zone supplied by management company.
Outdoor hot tub was just steps outside of deck, and was great when it worked, but one night it had problems and was only 87 degrees – seemed like it was shorting out the circuit breaker. Left voice message for mgmt company but got no response. Also unit was advertised as being able to sleep 5, but not really. Lower BR had king bed and single fold out chair, but there wasn’t enough room to fully open chair. And chair was so old and broken down that no one would really want to sleep in it. Thought we could get by with blow up air mattress in unit, but it leaked – just throw it away and buy a new one! Carpeting in unit getting close to needing replacement, and outside unit it is way past needing replacement.
This is my 8th annual summer trip to Telluride and this was one of my more enjoyable rentals. Fantastic location, very efficient use of living space (ie none wasted on unusable space). The place is a little dated though the kitchen has been updated with modern look and amenities. Added bonus: super convenient indoor garage parking is a plus during monsoon season. I’d definitley consider staying here again for future trips.

Hi George!
We are glad you enjoyed your time at the Boomerang Lodge. The garage is definitely helpful, especially in the dead of winter or during monsoon season.
Hope to see you again soon!
Location was good, short walk into main part of town. Property is a little worn and dated, could use some sprucing up. Strange skylight in the master bedroom made it very hard to sleep in, bright sunlight started about 6am. Overall a decent stay, but not sure I would stay here again for the amount we paid.
Communication was great and the smart locks made it easy to enter the property.

This property was fine. Location is great, furnishings are tired. The upstairs bedroom has no ventilation, not great in the summer. The kitchen needs cutting board and cookie sheets. Overall nice property but could use some updating.
The condo was lovely and fit us perfectly. It had plenty of room, was clean and having the kitchen was great. It was close to everything and you can walk everywhere from the condo.

Hi Heather!
Thank you for your review. We are so glad you enjoyed your time and we hope to see you again soon!
This was a perfect location for our trip here. Parked the car in the garage and never had to move it until check out. We walked to everything in town. Loved the convenience of having the grocery store a half block away. Bedrooms (especially the upstairs one) got a little warm at night. The box fans in the closet did help a little. We were able to open the windows on the main floor, but it got a little noisy in the wee hours of the morning. Had a couple of loud birds arguing every morning and dumpster diving bear across the street! Otherwise the place was perfect! Would definitely return here again.

Cozy, great location, perfect for family of 4.
We've stayed many times in Telluride for ski vacations and each time it gets better and better. This unit was the perfect size and budget for our family of 4, and the 2nd floor/corner unit view out the windows made it seem even more spacious. Communication with the rental agency was first rate and it was nice to be able to check in a little early. The kitchen was fairly well appointed and suited all our needs for cooking during our stay. Parking IS limited, but we found a spot in the heated garage which made unloading and loading a snap since it snowed A LOT while we were there. Also, the garage ski locker was a nice touch so we didn't have lug our stuff upstairs each day. The building has a common area in the center with table and chairs so we could take off our boots and things before entering the unit after a long day on the mountain. Plenty of beds and places to lounge for everyone but be aware the upstairs bedroom is only a queen However, if spousal closeness is your thing then it's a non-issue. My wife and I like to spread out so one of us ended up downstairs and one kid got the couch.
Although minor, there were a few gripes that kept this from being a 5 star rental. The carpet downstairs had an aluminum seam cover which was bent up in a few places creating some very sharp edges which we had to be careful around. The pots/pans and other kitchen utensils could use updating, and the cracked /old coffee maker needed to be replaced. Don't expect much from the TV/DVD player downstairs either, but we were able to log into our Netflix account for evening movie time. The spiral staircase is fun but watch your heads and your kiddos heads too underneath it. Other than a few bulbs that needed to be replaced here and there thats it.
Would we stay there again? Definitely! Would any of the above issues have kept us from renting? No, not at all. The location, size, and amenities created tremendous value in this unit for a Telluride ski vacation.

Everything we needed
Pleasant, clean condo, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. It is very convenient to the small but very comprehensive grocery store, "Clark's Market." Also close to 2 bus stops, which worked well for us to get the free bus to the other side of town and back, as one of our party was unable to walk the entire distance repeatedly. It was nice to have a parking spot in the garage for a busy festival weekend.
