Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Amenities such as the pool, hot tub and weight room were excellent. The room was exactly what I wanted with a full kitchen and amenities for my one-week stay.
Nice location with easy access to the trolley if desired. Quick Lyft/Uber from top Garden District restaurants. Really nice shared outdoor space. Clean, quiet and would definitely stay here next time in Nee Orleans
I was one of the last guests to check in for the day. The concierge said, you must be Mr. (My last name). I was truly surprised to be addressed by name without providing one. She went above and beyond in making me feel welcomed.
This is an updated efficiency with nicely stocked kitchen. It was very clean! Great location in the Garden District. Staff was helpful with information about the shuttle and local places to eat. We would stay here again!
Thank you so much for letting us stay here! We were visiting from Topeka, Ks for the Taylor Swift concert and had a WONDERFUL time. Also, thank you SO much for keeping the rate affordable. I'm a single mom and took my daughter to the show. I really appreciate it!
Our stay at the property was great! The Garden District of New Orleans is a wonderful neighborhood. The streetcar passed right in front of the hotel. There are several restaurants within walking distance and the Walmart was about a mile away. The room was clean and comfortable. No view but that was fine because we weren’t in the room much. We were able to check in early, as soon as our flight got into town which was so convenient. If we ever come back to NOLA we would stay here for sure.
This was a lovely and comfortable room. Very clean, ideally located. A little short on seating area, but that's a small issue. We loved that they offered a free laundry room, complete with complimentary detergent. (We expected to pay for both, so this was quite welcome.) Unlike most VRBO rentals, this property was managed by a resort company. It left us uncertain what our responsibilities were; there were no instructions or requests. We did our best to leave the room in a tidy condition for the staff to clean up after us. The listing said there was an "in-room kitchen." I asked before we arrived, and was told there were no cooktop burners, only a microwave. On arrival, we asked for a room with one bed and were given a room that did have a cooktop. We would have liked clean towels halfway through the week, but it was not clear whether there would be a charge for that. The desk staff were always available and always friendly and helpful; lobby staff were efficient and attentive. We were very happy with our experience overall.
My husband and I were in town for a wedding reception. The location was perfect as the reception was only 6+- blocks from the hotel on St Charles. The streetcar stopped almost in front of the hotel and let us off right in front of the reception. Easy transfer ride back to the hotel. Popped into Mr Johns’s restaurant for an after dinner drink. The staff was very friendly. There is no breakfast place in the hotel, but there are several places close by. Our room had a stove, refrigerator, dishes, etc. Had I known, I’d have brought breakfast.

Stay away from the relentless sales pitch at Wyndham properties
The Plaza Avenue Hotel is a great location and very nice accommodation. Valet parking is a steep $50/night. BEWARE! The set up with the Concierge in the Lobby is to con you into becoming a Wyndham Vacation Destinations member which will cost you half a day you could be enjoying New Orleans instead. Timeshares are never what they seem. They will comp your parking but Not Worth It!
Really lucked out, had to book this last minute and was a perfect stay!

Adequate accommodations with terrific location
Location, location, location!
There us simply not a better location from which to experience the Garden District. The streetcar stop, directly outside the property, couldn't have made it more convenient to travel to the French Quarter, or hook up with the Red Line.
A negative experience was that the room seemed inadequately soundproofed. After Midnight elevators and doors closing loudly in the hallway made for some restless nights.
We needed to be moved to second room because our shower had no hot water. We realized that the noise issue was present on both floors. Casino hours / bar hours mean thst there is a lot of hallway traffic after midnight.

I love this quaint area.
This is not my first time here. Liked it enough to go back. The streetcar making a stop at the hotel is an absolute plus. Check out time is not noon, it is ten.

Great value and location
We enjoyed our stay at the condo. It is run like a hotel with a front desk and all of the services you would expect. The front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. The location is great with a street car stop directly across the street (just check with NOLA transit to make sure the street car line is open and running the full track) It was easy to get to the French Quarter by the using the street car or Uber. The restaurants and bars in the neighborhood out the front door are eclectic and fun. We would definitely stay again,
