BREAKFAST INCLUDED! You are sure to enjoy your stay in this cozy cottage atmosphere right off State Route 118 and only 2.5 miles from Rickett's Glenn State Park! We rent three private rooms with private baths within the same cottage. A full breakfast is served daily to provide you all the energy you need for a long hike up the falls trail or a relaxing afternoon at Lake Jean then come back to the cabin at night to unwind around the patio fireplace.

Warm and Quiet Stay!

My partner and I enjoyed our weekend stay earlier this month on a visit to Rickett's Glen State Park. True to listing, our suite and the property in general is within minutes of the park. Breakfast provided by Claytonna was certainly restaurant quality, the coffee bar and access to porch/grounds also much appreciated. This was a delightful bed & breakfast experience.

Absolutely beautiful vacation for us! We would definitely love to return! The ambiance was peaceful, we slept restfully and the breakfast was delicious. It was close to the Rickets Glen hiking trail head which was a plus! Wonderful!!

Charming property and super nice hosts!

The property was gorgeous and cozy with lots of indoor and outdoor space. I got a great dinner recommendation from Claytonna and the breakfast she cooked was delicious! She was also super accommodating when I wanted to stay a couple extra hours and hang out outside my room after checkout. Located super close to the Rickett’s Glen trails, so driving over and hiking was very easy.

Hospitality with a Mile-high Bed & Slipper Tub!

Between the comfort of our wonderful bed, the soak in the slipper tub, and the cozy porch, I could find reason enough to never leave! Then there 's the full country breakfast each day. Yum! Overall, 2 miles from the Park, and Claytonna and Dave's hospitality make this one a repeat for us!

The room was exactly as pictured. It was very clean and the mattress was great. CLaytonna met us just as we got there. We felt just like we were at home. Their home was very nice and they made us feel comfortable. We enjoyed great conversation with both Claytonna and David. The breakfast was fantastic and served when it was convenient for us. Their hospitality made us feel right at home and I can't wait till next year to go back there to celebrate our anniversary.

A magical getaway!

Even better than the description and pictures suggest! Claytonna and Dave are the perfect hosts and the Cottage in the Woods is an apt name for this piece of paradise. My room was spacious and beautifully decorated; the bathroom included a glorious soaker tub which was an exquisite luxury after a long hike. The outside area includes a wrap around porch, spacious patio, and inviting fireplace overlooking a sprawling grass area surrounded by trees. The hosts encourage guests to make themselves at home and it is very easy to do in this lovely home. The home-cooked breakfasts are delicious and the perfect way to fuel you through the Falls Hike at nearby Rickett's Glen. I cannot say enough about these people and this special place. I will definitely be back again and again!

This is an exceptional B&B. The decor is tasteful without being glitzy. The comfort level is terrific. The outdoor area great for relaxing in front of the fire. The highpoint of the stay are the hosts. Pleasant, accommodating, knowledgeable about the area and then, they disappear. You now have free reign of the area to enjoy your privacy and stay. I would highly recommend this Cottage to anyone wanting first class accommodations and stellar hosts in a beautiful mountain setting!

Cottage in the Woods was an excellent place to stay and celebrate our anniversary. The property is cozy and beautiful, hosts are very friendly- welcoming us like family. Breakfast was delicious and so filling- just what we needed for our full days. Claytonna was so friendly and engaging, sharing the “things to do” in the area. Accommodations were wonderful, and a perfect location to enjoy Ricketts Glen State Park. We will surely return for a future stay!

A Wonderful Respite!

The pictures don’t do it justice, such a cottag-ey feel, beautifully decorated! The bed was very comfortable, the space clean, delicious breakfast, and super friendly service. We enjoyed a day of hiking at Ricketts Glen. Will recommend to friends and family.

Lovely place to unwind

It's the coziest cottage to spend a special time with your spouse at. The host was extremely friendly and hospitable and yet we felt like we had our space to unwind and relax and they're building a cute little coffee shop/gifts on the property. It's closeness to Rickets Glen State Park is a plus!

Beautiful Property and Owners!

My wife and I stayed this past weekend and fell in love with this place. Claytonna and her husband have made this place special for anyone who stays. The room are spacious, bathrooms are huge, we stayed in the Hummingbird and had a tub and a shower. Everything was decorated so nice, and the outside areas were great with firepit and seating... my wife is already making plans for a girls trip and we plan on coming up again next year.

Perfect Stay

What a wonderful place! Super clean and very welcoming place. Claytonna is a wonderful host and a great cook. Breakfast was large and delicious. Location is perfect for a visit to Ricketts Glen. Can’t wait to visit again. Don’t miss out on a stay here.
