Having read a less than positive review from earlier in the summer, we were concerned. It turns out the house is lovely. We are sticklers for cleanliness and the house looked really good and the sheets and towels were perfectly nice. We really enjoyed our stay and Nicole immediately solved the one minor issue we had with a bees nest in the driveway. Strong recommendation.
We loved the area of Amagansett. The house was plenty spacious for our family of 6. The outdoor space was our favorite. The check in process was super easy and the house was very functional. We loved our stay in the Hamptons.
The home was filthy and the host a major disappointment.
The home was filthy , to the point we went and purchased all new bedding for all of the beds as well as towels . We were told we would be reimbursed if we left a 5 star review ! We had had several discussions with the host to try and resolve and have a cleaning crew come in during our stay . We were basically told we could leave . We traveled 5 hours with 2 infants , so that wasn’t an option. The home looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned at all let alone up to Covid standards. There was food and condiments left in the refrigerator from the previous renters . We were also told to lie about who we were of anyone asked because short term rentals in this area evidently is an issue with the town. We were told to say we were family . The instructions for the home were typed written on pages that look like they had been used for the last 5 seasons . Again nothing to Covid standards . I would not recommend this host . I have video and pictures to document . The fact that I was told I would be reimbursed for my expenses if I gave a 5 star rating , which I have in writing (text) speaks volumes of this host.
Weekend was terrific for a weekend away from the city. Grounds and house were very well kept and the house and neighborhood of Amagansett was warm and inviting. Very close to town, train and grocery for any last minute items. Would definitely recommend!
The house was absolutely beautiful - well decorated, AMAZING outdoor space, top of the line everything. The pool and and patio felt like you were on vacation at a resort. It was a fantastic weekend away and we hope to come back to this house next year! Celeste was great to work with... didn't need to contact her much because we had zero issues.
Celeste was such a wonderful host and the home was absolutely beautiful. The outdoor area was fantastic for hosting our family dinners and our kids loved the large yard and pool. The interior has been thoughtfully designed and decorated with plenty of room to accommodate our 6 family members. The house is so close to Amagansett Square that we usually walked into town each morning for breakfast and it was a short 5 min drive into East Hampton. We loved everything about our stay!

Lovely home!
Had an amazing time renting this property with a few girls for a getaway. Fully furnished in such beautiful decor, and would be even more amazing with the warmer weather. Owner was very responsive.

Beautiful home!
We had a wonderful stay at Celeste's Amagansett home! The house itself is incredible and lends itself well to hosting a group - there are many areas both inside and outside to gather. The living areas have plenty of seating, and the bedrooms are spacious and all have en suite bathrooms. Probably the most spectacular part of the home is the backyard, where a large patio/deck area overlooks the pool. Again, the patio has many spots for entertaining - a grill and dining table, high bar tables, low seating surrounding a fire pit, and lounge chairs. The entire house is wired with Sonos speakers, so we spent most of our time hanging in the backyard with music. Finally, Celeste was very responsive to all of my questions. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Wedding Weekend - Some Issues
Stayed 9/28-10/3/16
Pros:
Very spacious rooms
beautiful large deck and pool area
High end appliances
Modern, eclectic furnishings
close to downtown , East Hampton and Montauk
Cons:
Electrical-kept losing power in dining room and powder room, had to constantly reset circuit breaker in basement. Then that stopped working . The owner was prompt in sending her handyman out. She said they had never had a problem before, but there was an X marking that circuit breaker and the handyman told us he had been to the house before to replace a dining room ceiling fixture. He said he was not able to repair it because he would have to check all the wiring in the dining room light fixtures. This resulted in us not being able to use the powder room or the dining room for most of our stay. Recent correspondence with the owner said that the problem was a wire in the circuit box and the handyman could have fixed it but we had people in the house. This is not consistent with what we were told by the handyman. We booked this house because of its suitability for entertaining during our son's wedding weekend. Not being able to use the dining room was a large inconvenience.
Another problem, was a large number of fruit flies in the kitchen. We did contact the owner when we first arrived and she suggested pouring bleach down the garbage disposal which we had already done. However the problem persisted our whole stay. She offered to send out the handyman but we didn't know what he could do and we didn't want chemicals in the area while preparing food. There were opened packages of food in the pantry which could have contributed to the problem. It was embarrassing to have guests swatting flies to keep them away from their food.
Pans had to be cleaned before using them since they had been put away dirty with food residue on them. We did not contact the owner regarding this issue. It was easier for us to just wash them.
Another minor issue was the lack of Wi-Fi service upstairs.
Before arrival, we asked if there was an iron and told there was. We neglected to ask if there was an ironing board...there wasn't. We had to set up a makeshift one to touch up our clothes.
Some of these complaints may sound minor, however, when you are paying over $1000 a night for a house, you do not expect these inconveniences to occur.
