Lovely cabin and property. Beautiful woodwork for cabin and furniture. Comfortable and cozy and everything you need is provided. Peaceful and quiet. We really enjoyed our time at the Quiet Inverness Cabin. Thank you!
Greatest BnB We've stayed as we travel up and down the east coast.
Came in area to visit friends, cycle local trails and meet a few Manatees.... all accomplished with ease. Great cabin, close but not to close to everything you'd ever need. Check In, Stay and Check Out was easy ! Will gladly spread the word about this wonderful cabin on numerous cyclist blogs!!

Positives:Beautiful cabinQuiet Water gets hot!Decent kitchen equipment for cooking.Reclining couches with motors. The lighting options were brilliant for day and night.Porch was pleasant. TV signal was good with many app options. 15 mins from town. Lots of great diners, grocery stores, had Walmart delivery available and the antique mall is a must!Cons:Kitchen stove and island was covered in dust when we arrived.Couches were pretty worn, no rips or tears, just wobbly, but they work.AC was not working correctly, which caused us to leave a few days early.Musty smell- turns out AC filter was over 6 months old and was black. The spa tub takes 30 mins plus to fill...the faucet barely turns on. I ended up bucketing water in from the bathroom sink to get it done within a half hour. Pretty much made it useless for us.Dishwasher rack flies out and the door falls, it's an easy fix, but watch out for it.There was a large RV on property that we were unaware of why. The bed was very high, but they give a step stool, the bed side tables were too far away to reach for me so using a cpap was a little tricky. The bed also had a very bad dip in it, which cause my husband and I to have back and neck aches. All in all it wasn't awful, but improvements could've been made. It's the common lack of inspections for little things, but the air conditioning not working was the worst of it. If you are renting this cabin ensure it works. We only stayed so long because the weather was tolerable and we had all the ceiling fans on and I had a fan pointing at me that I always bring on trips.

From the Owner: "Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize that the A/C was experiencing issues during your stay, though we’re glad the cooler weather helped make things more comfortable.
We would like to share that the A/C has since been fully serviced, including coil cleaning and a capacitor replacement. The dark material observed in the filter box was part of the lining, not mildew.
We’ve also made several upgrades and fixes based on your comments. The king mattress downstairs and the queen mattress upstairs have both been replaced with new, upgraded options. The jacuzzi tub faucet issue was resolved by cleaning a clogged screen; however, please note that it does take approximately 25 minutes to fill to a level suitable for using the jets.
The dishwasher has been adjusted, but we do recommend taking care not to pull the bottom rack out too far.
Regarding the RV, it is parked in front of a separate garage building and does not interfere with guests’ use of the cabin.
We hope you were able to enjoy the gardens and the peaceful seclusion of the log cabin. Once again, we truly apologize for the inconvenience caused by the A/C during your stay and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback."

Peaceful cabin
Peaceful and very quiet area. Beautiful hills in Florida. The cabin was authentic and lovely. Loved everything about this place except for the master bedroom mattress. It has an indent in the middle so you constantly feel like you’re falling into a hole. Would definitely stay again.
Overall the property was nice along with the cabin .
The only issues we had were there were dead roaches when we walked in and we had to clean the porch and patio furniture.
We realize it's in the woods but would have expected those areas to have cleaned before we arrived
My wife & I spent 4 wonderful nights in large, beautiful, comfortable log cabin in Inverness. Shortly after we walked in the door I wished we had more people with us. The cabin slept 8 comfortably with plenty of room for more. The kitchen was big & beautiful with a huge counter dividing the kitchen, living room & fireplace. We cooked breakfast each morning & lounged in front of the fireplace for a good part of the day prior to venturing out to some surrounding towns, wineries & breweries. It was a fantastic experience that went by way too quickly.

Hi Richard, We're glad to hear that you had such a fantastic time at this Inverness cabin! Groups of up to 6 people are welcome at the property, so we hope that you & your friends or family have a chance to stay with us here again soon.
Our family of four stayed here for 4 nights the last week of July. All the administrative part of our trip were easy and smooth. Good communication from the manager and check-in was no problem. There was a slight problem with the water when we got there but it was rectified instantly once we notified the hose contact.
The property is beautiful and secluded. It is close enough to a small town where you can get supplies or something to eat. We went down to Tampa for a day and it was a quick trip. The location is also close to a lot of springs and lakes.
The internet service was spotty at best. We had a bad rain storm one night we lost the satellite also but it was not a big deal for us.
The only negative I could say about the place is that it was not very clean. I will caveat that with saying that my wife is a clean freak so she noticed everything. If you go into it with the expectation that this is a cabin in the woods, you would expect some dust and dirt. Overall it was a great rental and everything they represented it to be. I would recommend it for a quiet getaway.

Cozy cabin
My family and I stayed 4 nights at the cabin. We chose the cabin due to its unique look and feel and wanting to disconnect a bit. We found the place charming; with lots of space to roam. If I were to stay again or advise others here are the things I would let them know the following.
1. It’s rural so be prepared for WIFI services to not be existent. We only found this to be a problem with a toddler who needs white noise to fall asleep so we rigged by keeping a cell phone close to the internet set to his whit empire and Bluetoothed to a speaker that we hung by the “nook” style bed area.
2. The kids (2) 18yr old 11, & 3 plus us had fun playing hide and seek in all the areas however some outdoor amenities would be nice. Basketball hoop, cornhole
Boards that weren’t dry rot etc.
3. For the internal amenities we found the place to not be a typical vrbo home in which upkeep was a concern. The stairs need repair as they are split and broken down the middle with screws put in as a placeholder to hold them together. The main bedroom toilet bulb was squealing a high pitched noise upon arrival and we had to tap is several times daily, the hot water runs out fairly quickly, and in order to follow the check out rules we had to improvise. There were no dish washer tabs and it seems like this space may be a persons home but the idea came to “make extra cash” while out of town or state so real safeguards in that manner in taking into consideration what others would need 4. Communication and update if Info for issues: we found the book helpful in check out process however when we contacted the person named in the book as our go to we got w call back letting us know she was only the cleaning person but hadn’t done the cleaning in over 3 years. that she has asked to removed and feels bad people keep contesting her. We were able to reach the caretaker about the stairs & toilet and was told a handy man would come out however no one did. The expectation is to leave the place in clean orderly fashion however we didn’t find the cleanliness to be that; dust and dirt on the floors were the biggest thing we noticed. Felt like we were walking on sand but we swept up the floor to keep from having our feet feel so gritty. Also fans & switches didn’t work or kept shorting out in the main bedroom and bathroom. The light over the vanity shuts off on its own
Above all it was a place to sleep, kids found it unique & interesting. Very quite neighborhood & 30min to anything
Lovely place! We enjoyed the staycation at the cabin. The best place to retire the family from the daily routine. Quiet, fully equipped and disconnected from reality.
We were only here for a 3-day weekend and now I wish we had more time. Lovely cabin tucked away in between the trees and lots of room indoors & out. We didn't need to bring anything as it was well stocked. Lots of outdoor trails and parks to get lost in. Poor internet service but that's a good thing - kept everybody off their cellphones :-) We will be back for sure!
The 4 people in our group had a very nice stay here. Negative stuff first, even though it's not anything major: The pot/pans are a little tattered, so bring your own if you're going to cook a lot. The connection to the wifi router is spotty at best. The internet is fine if you're connected to it...it's the actual connection to the wifi that is lacking. I suggested that the owner move the router to a central location in the house. With that being said: the house is so comfortable and has almost everything you need. It was easy to get to and communication with the manager was excellent. There's so much space for activities! Highly recommend and we will probably be back.

Beautiful location and spacious cabin
This cabin was amazing, plenty of room and all you need.
The only hassle was trying to figure out which light switches were for each light fixture. We never found the one over the dining room table.
They had some really cool led light strips but unfortunately not even half worked. This did not effect our stay but would have been nice.
Balconies everywhere! Plenty of space to enjoy wildlife views. One of the smaller decks was closed off abs said not to use but again this was not a huge deal abs did not effect our stay.
Bathrooms were great, the one downstairs is a bit weird with a funny flush but honestly it added character to the house.
The beds were too soft for my preference and no mattress protectors were used, this concerns me since mattress protectors can be taken off to be washed, here the sheets were just directly against the mattress toppers. I woke up with a bit of a sore back each day but nothing horrible.
It has everything you need, every pot, pan, dish or gadget!
Lots of moth cocoons all over the house, everywhere we went we had to be careful what we touched (outside). This is just nature I suppose. Also there were cobwebs inside in corners throughout the house, the house was clean but to me it could be deep cleaned more often. Again this would not effect my stay and I would most certainly visit again as the house all in all is gorgeous.
The one thing it lacked was a hot tub outside. It has a jetted tub in the master bath but an outdoor hot tub would have been great!
There was a really bad smell when ever we drained the tub from the master bath. It took us a minute to realize where it was coming from.
There is a tiny charcoal grill to use. It sufficed for us.
We had a bit of trouble with the WiFi but we notified our contact who was very responsive and we were able to solve that issue pretty quickly.
The location of this cabin is great! I highly recommend it.
We came for a golfing weekend at World Woods, which is about 20 minutes away. The home was clean with a large yard and porches, and property manager was very responsive.
The property is great and very convenient to Inverness, Floral City, and Brooksville. Lots of room for out door activities and enough space for a small group of 6 or less. Easy check in and all the amenities you could need!
The house was well located for our planned events and would have been a great (5 star) stay except for a few things. A previous review highlighted that the place needed a deep clean. They were3 so right on. Sometimes people are simply particular and it can be dismissed but not here. The floors were filthy, the shower had hair in it, we found a bowl of cereal in the upstairs bathroom that had been there far too long and the place obviously hadn't been dusted for a long time.
The master bedroom was an add on and impacted our stay only because this was a cold weekend and the heating system didn't heat the house the way you would expect. The master and the master bath both had cold spots that made it uncomfortable. In regular Florida weather I doubt you would notice.
On the positive side of things, the space is terrific and the open feeling is exactly what we hoped it would be. The other couple traveling with us didn't like the rock shower but that is personal preference. Probably wouldn't bother everyone. The views out of the master are great and the decks lend themselves to a great outdoor experience if the weather had been better. Overall, I would stay here again if the place was clean and the weather cooperated. It would be a good value under those circumstances but the dirt was really a turn off and I won't be going back.

Response from VrboOwner on 27 January 2021
Hi Gaines, Thanks for letting us know about your stay. After going over your feedback with the homeowner, we'd like to follow up on the items that you mention:
- The owner and their cleaner wish that you had brought up your concerns at any point during your stay
- When the cleaner reached out, you let them know that there weren't any issues
- They would have immediately taken care of any cleanliness concerns just as they quickly addressed the other questions you had during your stay
- The owner and cleaner will make sure that cleanliness won't be a problem moving forward
- They also confirmed that the heat is working correctly. Log homes can take longer to heat up/cool down because the logs hold the ambient temperature longer
Thanks again for your feedback, and we hope that you keep us in mind for your future travels!
