We had a very relaxing stay in this lovely cabin. Very roomy with comfortable furniture. The pool table was so much fun as well as the hot tub. Would stay here again as it was very convenient to downtown Maggie Valley.
The house was well appointed and comfortable. There was a large deck with a very pretty view. We stayed over the 4th of July holiday and were delighted to discover we could see the Maggie Valley’s fireworks display from the deck. The only slightly daunting thing was the steep drive up and the slightly challenging driveway. But don’t let that stop you from renting this delightful home. We will definitely come again.

Reviewer Comments:
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the sound of a smoke detector beeping - the battery was dead. The manager of Carolina Vacations, Syd, came out right away to fix it and sweep up broken glass from a picture that had fallen. Trying to work the recliner sofas proved to be almost impossible. The ice machine in the refrigerator didn't work and the water filter needed replacing. Otherwise, the cabin was spacious and clean. We got used to the long, steep drive up the mountain but were afraid to drive it in torrential rain. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds were large and comfortable. Nice walk-in showers in both main bathrooms was a treat.

Very nice cabin and location with good view, hot tub, pool table. Serious slow shower drainage issue reported for both main bedrooms. DirectTV & slow 6mb Wifi.

Comfortable, well appointed home in mountains above Maggie Valley NC. Great spot for family gathering. Only drawback: “singing pipes “ that were ever present. Hopefully fixed by now.
Beautiful home, with a lovely view. It was so high we never saw any wild life. The driveway was daunting to get out of. You have to back out because almost impossible to turn car around. Overall, we had a good time.
My family of 5 and adult friend couple had a great time. The view and sunset were beautiful and the house clean and functional. I would highly recommend!
Clean cabin. We did have to call maintenance. Ceiling fans did not work in bed rooms, only 1 pool stick, fire pit didn’t work, siding on side of house melted from grill, slats in bunk beds broken. They did replace the broken boards in bed since a child was sleeping in it. Other stuff couldn’t be fixed during our stay.

Reviewer Comments:
A very tight house that the high winds didn't even blow through! Its a great vantage point to watch storms and be lost in the fog. It's a nice deck with spots to shield you from the wind whilst still having a view. The 1 mile twisty road up should not deter you. Walking the dog can be beautiful, but exhausting. The pool table was a good one, but only 1 cue was available. If you are staying during the cold seasons, take blankets. Few are to be had in the cold rooms beyond the great room/kitchen. The propane fireplace can really heat up the place, but doesn't extend beyond the main room. The regular heating leaves a bit to be desired, as do the supplies in the kitchen. But we had a nice break from our at home Covid stay and think you will too.
The cabin was better than the photos! Super nice, very clean. We had a great stay. We had to leave a day early unfortunately because of a big snow storm and where the cabin is located at the top of the mountain we would have been stuck for days. DEFINITELY have to have AWD or 4 wheel drive if it snows. The only negative is that they don’t provide any toilet paper or paper towels, which I thought was odd seeing as this is a luxury stay.
We enjoyed our stay at Beneath the Stars. The house was very clean - not dusty like many rentals. We loved the hot tub, the view and the proximity to skiing. The WiFi was out for part of the time, which was our only issue.
Very spacious cabin with a great view. 2 King beds upstairs and 1 bunk bedroom downstairs with Pool table. The stove sowed surface hot even when cooled and microwave made a weird nose when running and would even make a noise sometimes when door was opened and closed. I put this info in the check out form. We did notice a camera in the living room area pointing to the back deck door. Not sure if this is legal or not but I was thinking according to vrbo.com this is not legal. Not a big deal with us but some may see this as an invasion of privacy. The best part was that we got to see snow 2 times!!!!!! Only snow we will get to see this year probably. Would definitely stay here again with more people. :). I definitely would recommend bringing toilet paper/paper towels, hand soap and towels. We had towels but not big ones for the hottub. Luckily we brought our own,
We lucked out and got a beautiful White Christmas staying here! It was a very nice and comfortable spot to be snowed in for a couple days. Good size house for the 5 of us and nice view. Wish we could have enjoyed the deck spaces a bit more, but it was a bit too cold to spend much time outdoors. The hot tub was a fun treat though!
Thanks for the stay!

We only had 2 nights at Beneath the Stars but we had so much fun! The cabin exceeded our expectations. Great mountain view of the beautiful Fall foliage. We could hear the stream that’s just down from the cabin. The views from each bedroom was amazing as well. The cabin is very secure as well. My only regret is not being able to rent it for longer as it was booked up. We plan to return again!
Only issue was the beeping from the alarm system all night.
The property was clean and the mountain views were great.

Reviewer Comments:
This was the second time we have stayed at this home. The gameroom in the basement is always a hit with the kids, but this time the home was not as clean as the last time we stayed. The rug had not been cleaned and there were crumbs and chocolate chips in the floor. One toilet was dirty. The couch also had stains from a spill on it. The home itself is lovely, the views from the porch are great, but it needed more attention and time spent on cleaning.
This beautiful cabin is much bigger than it appears in the photos. It is conveniently located and accessible with plenty of parking. There is a great view of Maggie Valley and everything you might need for a comfortable stay. It was perfect for our large family mountain vacation. The house is clean, nicely furnished and decorated, very homey. It's in a safe area with plenty of space away from other houses. It's not a touristy area but you can easily get to Ashville or go to Nantahala or Bryson City, not to mention lots of trails and elk viewing in the area. We'd love to go back again soon!
