Didn’t want to leave.
This is by far one of our favorite cottages!! The screened in porch is heavenly. I may have to replace the rocking chair! :) We will 100% be back!!

Peace and quiet
The cabin was equipped with everything we required for our weekend stay. Because of the time of year there was hardly no one else around and we had the peace and solitude that we had really needed. The cabin well maintained and the views of the river can be seen from the bedroom all the way out to the living room and kitchen. Would love to come back in warmer weather and enjoy the porch and a fire by the river. One of the best surprises was the skylight over the bath that you can look up and watch the sky. Overall a very positive experience.

Quick Holiday Stay
We wanted a quick little getaway over the holidays and some biking time on the New River Trail since it was unseasonably warm. The property far exceeded our expectations. Location and amenities were great. Wi-Fi would be a much appreciated addition, mainly to access maps of the area. Aside from this, the house was well stocked with cooking equipment, blankets and many extra's to make the experience very welcoming. Nightly bon fires with exceptional star gazing was a favorite. The river was easily accessible and so pleasant to view from the screened porch with morning coffee. The New River Trail is located on the other side of the river, so if you are looking for access it's a 10-15 minute drive from the property. We will definitely be returning and probably with our kayaks instead of bikes next time!
