We spent 8 days here. Itās an amazing place tucked in behind a Edgewater so we were able to use the restaurant, bar and beach there. The house is fully self contained and has everything we needed. Thank you Eddie and whanau. We felt very welcome and comfortable
A perfect location for me, as the wider group I was travelling with were staying at The Edgewater. I loved having space of my own, and really appreciated the sheltered outdoor area with the mountain vista. This property has everyrhing you need for a chill stay
Perfect location, great correspondence with Eddie. Big enough for the both of us and comfortable place to stay. Well stocked with kitchen and oantry products tea, coffee, spices etc. And genrous amount of linen especially towels for swimming.Would highly recommend with great outdoor setting also.Would definitely recommend Thank you,Mary
Everything we needed and nothing fancy. The view of the hills was great, the yard was huge, and the walk to the beach took 2 minutes. Would stay again.
Location and house was just perfect.
House was comfortable and had everything we basically needed..
Will definitely be back next year.
Thanks Eddie š
The house was clean on arrival with plenty of additional towels and bedding. The house is in the perfect location for easy car hire, beach and restaurant access. There was some handy spices in the cupboard and we found the lock box very convenient for making sure we never lost the key. Will definitely look into using this property again when we retuen to the island for our next trip.
Eddie was a great Host to deal with before, during and after our stay there, with no problems what so ever! The house and location is absolutely perfect to many things we as a family needed, including the local bus service just a few steps away, local eateries, small supermarket near by,hiring of ebikes, vehicles, motorbikes etc etc with just a stones throw away from the beautiful Edgewater Resort and all it has to offer there, but at a fraction of the price of resorts and other accommodations around with your own privacy (even own space for teenagers to have their "time out" away from parents lol) and all the comforts of home away from home...we couldn't have asked for more!! We will be coming back and staying there again in the future for sure! A

A great location. Edgewater Resort and beach proximity.
Everything was provided in unit.
Downside was noisy - especially as buses go in and out down driveway/road.
I personally found the Vrbo website not user friendly.
Although I did not meet with Eddie he was very prompt when I did manage to send messages to him and he made sure we had everything we needed.
Definitely would use again.

Problems at our Accommodation
The Property Mgr obviously had not been looking after the property very well. A roof flashing was loose and flapped in the wind & kept us awake until we fixed it ourselves the next day. The stove did not work. There was no can opener. The crockery was depleted and was replaced eventually by the Mgr. The main problem was that the hot spot wifi did not work, the landline did not work and the TV did not work. The Mgr logged the problem with Vodafone but it was not fixed by the end of our 7 day stay. We therefore had no means of communication at the house during our stay.

Guest fails to mention there were strong winds warnings in place for Rarotonga that day.
Granted the stove did not work (its been replaced) but the stove top did.
Yes, they were short one dinner plate, but guest fails to mention that all plateware, silverware and glassware was replaced the following day, including a can opener.
Guest fails to note that 2 days of accommodation was refunded when I was made aware of the issues.
Guest fails to note that an email was sent before arrival underscoring the unreliability of Vodafone hotspots in Rarotonga, and my recommendation to use a vodafone ESim... from the email...
"Vodafone Cook Islands have introduced ESims for Visitors, landline hotspots over here are notoriously patchy, if possible on your phone, I'd recommend an ESim, the data is faster, more reliable, and you can tether to your computer with it, more details here... https://www.vodafone.co.ck/travel-esim."
Guest fails to note that despite being refunded 2 days, he wanted another day refunded due to the hotspot not working.
Guest Fails to note that after the 2 nights refunded he ended up paying NZ$30 per person per night, which I feel is more than a fare rate.
You cant please them all....
Great accommodation and location, perfect for what we needed, somewhere to stay without the bells and whistles in a good location at a fair price. Many Thanks and will be staying again. Thanks Whetu, Jack and Logan
Fairly basic home, but still nice. Quite cheap furniture and appliances, but was nice that there were things we wanted to use like chilli sauce etc in pantry. Pretty hot house, the fans do help a little but not too much. Was great that the lounge and master bedroom had louvers with insect netting that could be left open - but my niece really suffered in the other room not having these. The beds are REALLY uncomfortable... both our bodies ended up feeling pretty rough after our 5 nights sleeping on them. SERIOUS ant problem that needs to be sorted too. Those really huge ants, just everywhere... Overall, still a nice place if you can't afford spending too much - but we were so glad to upgrade to another place for our last 4 nights on the island - and finally sleep in comfortable beds :)
Showed up at the property and was blown away at how clean the space was. It got better when we realised the beach was a minute walk away. Was so impressed and couldnāt believe what we got for the price! Has all the basics so we could cook our own food for the week (only thing that we couldnāt get to work was the jug but was no biggy, we just boiled water on the stove instead). Was also extremely close to some really nice restaurants and the bus stops right outside the house so you can easily get to anywhere on the island if you donāt have your own transport. The fans above the beds were lifesavers as it gets pretty hot at night! Will definitely be staying here again if we make it back to beautiful Rarotonga
The house was in excellent condition and provided us with all the necessary requirements for a wonderful stay. Would highly recommend the house, tks Eddie!
Thank you so much. Great property. Great location. We will be back.
Beds a little hard, but we got used to that and didnāt bother us.
Highly recommend!
Thank you
