About this property

Great Family Compound five miles from Round Top

Wonderful family compound on approximately 200 acres of beautiful meadows and giant oak trees. Pool house has a great kitchen, open dining and living area with fabulous master suite with king size bed. The spacious master bathroom has a walk in shower and separate tub. The pool house also has an additional bathroom with shower and utility room with washer and dryer. Wifi is in the pool house only, not the wood cottage. The separate wood cottage features two master suites each with king size beds and a four bed bunk room (twins). Two bathrooms are in the wood cottage plus a washer and dryer. Beautiful porches on both structures. The property has a swimming pool which is not heated and a lake and a fire pit. There is an outdoor grill. Great entertaining space.
In addition to the two cottages that we rent, we have a third cottage that we do not make available to the rental market. During the Antiques market we sometimes have two friends stay there. They will not be in your way.

Our farm is in the country! It is a rural setting. We have cattle on the farm. We have an exterminator who comes monthly for bugs. Exercise due caution while enjoying the natural setting.

This house was a dream, close to town very secluded and the most relaxing spot. Everything was clean, easily organized. We had ten friends staying and the beds were cozy and comfortable. We didnt want to leave. I have been coming twice a year to round top for the last five years and this was the best house we have stayed in.

The property was lovely and the kitchen was very well stocked. The house design was quite unique as the main house had only one bedroom and the other bedrooms were in a separate building. It made me a little uncomfortable to leave small children alone in the separate bedroom house especially since there was another building adjacent with someone living there that wasn’t with our party. There were some issues with hot water in the shower, ac in the main bedroom, and lack of hairdryers in. Any of the 4 bathrooms.

The property was wonderful! So beautiful! Our family had a grand time. The home was laid out so very well for a large group....there are seating arrangements for the adults to visit and hang out, play areas for the kids, and gathering spaces (indoors and out) for everyone. We could not have asked for a more amazing setting. Kathy was very prompt and helpful with everything! We would definitely visit again!

No water pressure

Hi, we loved the house but there was not enough water pressure in master shower and in other house so we were not able to wash our hair. The sink in bathroom by main door does not work. Hard to turn hot water on & off in other house (bathroom when you first walk in). Otherwise we loved our visit and hope to be back!

Round Top

Awesome place to entertain and hang for family and friends. Great gathering spaces. Beautiful patio, pool, grounds and a good size tank just outside the house to fish and enjoy. 5 minutes from Round Top square. Awesome place.

Idyllic Stay in the heart of Warrenton

Kathy is a fantastic host and the property was even better than we imagined. Very serine, private and so close to our favorite parts of the Antique market. We loved the convenience of being able to drop loads of our purchases off sporadically as it was just around the corner. Coffee and cocktails overlooking the pool and stock tank on the pool house porch and was our favorite start and end to each day. We recommend this property to anyone looking to enjoy the Antique fair or a peaceful getaway.

Gorgeous and Fun Respite in Round Top, TX

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We shopped the antique market venues all day and recharged at this remarkable VRBO home in the evenings. The pool house was perfect and comfortable for wine, cheese, and evening ‘show and tell’ of the day’s purchases and treasures. The open floor plan was light, spacious, furnished well, and quite conducive to togetherness. When it was time for bed, the accommodations were oh-so comfortable. Peaceful and quiet. We will be staying at this home again during the Spring 2023 Round Top Antique Show!

Beautiful modern farm/ranch set up. Our group of moms and 18 yr old girls loved it. Perfect for a low key get away. We'd definitely book again.

Great place to spend "family time'!

Great place to spend family time! The pool house was the center of family time, breakfast & dinners. The location was great to Round Top for some local shopping. Bring your binoculars to watch the deer and pigs when they come the pond for a drink of water or for an afternoon swim. The family enjoyed watching the wildlife. Thanks Again!

Private "Family Compound"

Accommodations for 6 adults and 2 kids worked out great. The pool and patio were enjoyed each day. The large main room offered plenty of room for meals and visiting. The kids tested out the trampoline and explored the tree house.

Gorgeous Property

What a beautiful home in a stunning location. There was plenty of space for everyone and it was perfect for spending time with our family. Seeing the cows as we drove in every day was a real treat. We would definitely consider staying there again. The beds were very comfortable, that's not always the case and the kitchen and bathrooms were very well stocked. We had everything we needed. The owners clearly have put a lot of thought into what a guest will need during the stay. Just an impressive place.

Our Favorite Vacation Rental

My family and I have stayed on this property twice now and we will surely be back. It's a little pricey, but we've found it's worth every penny. We've stayed here in the summer and winter. The summer was great because you could use the pool (it's not heated) but we still had plenty to do in winter as well without use of the pool. There's a fire pit, trampoline, and treehouse on the property. The kids also loved driving to look at the cows that are technically on the property but not near the house at all. This is a vacation rental for a group that really wants to settle in, get cosy, relax, and spend time together.

Great Round Top venue

Wonderful property! Had everything we needed +! Had a visitor (a mouse) which was eventful but understand that happens in the country. Only criticism is that the doors were difficult to lock/unlock and we were not aware that the 3rd house was rented so it was a bit disconcerting when a car pulled in around midnight. No issues just would have been nice to know. We will plan to rent again if available!

Few issues but great fun was had

We had a great girls trip and the location of your home was perfect! However we did have a couple of issues: 1) master bedroom had recurring mouse droppings on the bed 2) lots of hair and dust in all the showers upon arrival so they had not been cleaned 3) we would’ve love to hang out by the pool but the outdoor furniture had moss growing on it. 4) the bedding wasn’t clean. All in all we had a fabulous time and your home is gorgeous! Just wanted to share that feedback. Thanks, Lauren

Wonderful property

My family spent a lovely weekend here with another family for a wonderful escape from the city. The property is beautiful and the house clean, comfortable and relaxing. It is an amazing property for families with kids. Our kids loved splashing in the pool, burning energy on the trampoline, exploring the amazing treehouse and having epic foosball games. They also really enjoyed having a slumber party together in the kids room. Gazing out over the pond and the trees beyond was so relaxing for the eyes. Kathy was always quick to respond to any questions we had. We definitely recommend this property and hope to return!
