Truly an amazing stay! I have wanted to stay at this property for years. We had a wonderful time and we all agreed staying here was the highlight of our vacation (we stayed here, went on to Halifax and Fredericton and went back to Bangor). Thank you Karen. Your house was the best!

Great family getaway

Karen’s place is spectacular —great ocean views, large decks for lounging. The house is perfect for extended family gatherings. Every room is beautifully decorated. Bedrooms are large and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. Karen’s attention to detail made us feel so welcome and made this a true home away from home..

Coastal Charm

Incredible location on the Bay. The bald eagle in the tree in the back yard captured its unspoiled beauty. Great space. Everything we needed for a group of 6 adults and an infant. Wonderful personal touches from host like homemade jam.

Best place to stay in St. John area!

This house is amazing. Very comfortable with great amenities ( ie: soaking tub with a view, great beds, well equipped kitchen). The location was perfect for us in that it is secluded but close to city and activities. Views are great from the decks. We watched seals and eagles every morning while we sipped our coffee. We will stay here again every time we are in the area.

A comfortable retreat with beautiful views

This property is so spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed spending time as a family with plenty of room for everyone. The house has everything you need to relax plus the sweet, little ‘gift shop’ with all proceeds going to a local charity that means a lot to my family was a special treat. We wouldn’t hesitate to book another stay when we go back to Saint John! Thank you!

Karen was amazing, checked in and provided us lots of information from a local perspective. House was beautiful and just as described. Plenty of room for 10 of us and the view is great. Didn’t want to leave. We have travelled a lot and had such a great experience. Bought lobsters from Her husband and son and the tip she gave for cooking them was spot on. Would definitely rent from her again. Thanks Canada and Karen for some great memories.

Chill and Enjoy!

We were looking for a chill spot for six adults on the Bay of Fundy with a great view and boy did we find it! The deck provided excellent viewing for the occasional bald eagle flyby, seals ( they almost appeared white), dolphins, sea gulls, and blue herons. Plus one morning when the foggy conditions cooperated we enjoyed a spectacular sunrise. We were met with some nice chocolates, a welcome sign and other gifts— a nice touch from Karen. Plus you can buy some gifts displayed in the house ( money goes to a charity). Weather did not permit us to hike on the nearby shoreline trail but we did take an all day trip on the Fundy Trail ( check fog conditions before you go) to Hopewell Rocks. Also be sure and check out the fabulous menu at Lily’s Restaurant in St John. We loved the house and view and would recommend to anyone.

5 Star Comfort and Amazing Hospitality

This house is even better than the pictures and we can’t imagine a better place to stay. The views are spectacular both inside and out. We have rented many properties in the US, Canada, and Europe and have never experienced such attention to detail and comfort. The beds are super comfortable (and high enough to gaze at the water and the sunrise from bed) with quality linens and comfy blankets. There are reading lights over the bed and charging ports. The towels are plentiful, high quality, and fluffy. Soaking tub and shower are both amazing and there was plenty of hot water. The house was stocked with anything one might need. Everything was super clean and comfortable. We had to stay in one day because of pouring rain, but didn’t mind at all. The house is warm and cost and just a happy place to be. The host was also great. Easy check in, helpful info, and great communication. Although it was just the two of us, we both noted that the place would be perfect for families or larger groups. There is an entire downstairs area with two bedrooms, bath, and game room that would be perfect for giving kids their own space. This place is special, and we could not have had a more perfect stay.

This place is absolutely the best!! As good as the pictures are on the VRBO site - they don’t do this place justice!! This place exceeds àll expectations and the hostess Karen’s attention to detail is unmatched! My wife and I stayed 6 nights - most peaceful place that you can imagine. Short jaunt into St John for groceries and supplies. Increadible location on the Bay of Fundy - we’ll be back!!

Beautiful spot on the Bay of Fundy, gorgeous views, quiet and private. The house is beautifully appointed, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. We loved sitting on the seaside deck to catch the stunning sunrise every morning while being entertained by seals, porpoise and ducks. Location is convenient to Saint John as well as numerous excellent activities within an hour's drive both east and west. Karen was an excellent communicator. Second time staying here, and would absolutely book again.

We love staying at this beautiful home. It is so spacious and has great gathering space and private spaces for relaxing. The in home gift shop with all local artists good and all proceeds are for charity is always a treat. The views are ever changing and the sunrises are spectacular. We will be back again. Très bel endroit pour ceux qui veulent relaxer. La vue est magnifique et la maison est splendide et très fonctionnelle. Nous étions 7 adultes et 3 enfants et ne nous sommes pas marché sur les pieds. Si vous cherchez une plage, je vous conseille la New River beach plutôt que la Black Sand beach. Il y avait beaucoup de guêpes et de mouches à chevreuil à cette dernière et le chemin pour s'y rendre n'est pas agréable. Mieux vaut faire un peu plus de route. Il y a un restaurant et des blocs sanitaires à New River beach. Beaucoup plus agréable avec des enfants.

A great family vacation!

This was a beautiful vacation property right on the Bay Of Fundy! Karen was the most attentive host we have ever dealt with. The home is equipped with everything you need and is very comfortable. If you are looking for a rental in this area, this should be your first choice.
