THE LOCATION...
ENVY OF THE ISLAND is situated on a corner lot in quaint Bahama Village, one of Key West's most culturally diverse and vibrant neighborhoods. Talk about an ideal location - you'll only be 1.5 blocks off Duval Street, a short walk to Key West's finest shopping, dining, entertainment, and tourism activities. This close proximity includes a hidden walking path at the end of Mickens Lane that leads directly to The Green Parrot. You'll also be an easy walk or bike ride to the best beaches and sunset views at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park and the newly constructed Truman Waterfront Park - complete with a family friendly playground area, splash park, and the Key West amphitheater.
THE BACKYARD...
A truly spectacular feature of this home is the large sliding pocketed doors that create an epic indoor/outdoor living space, when open. The backyard offers a private saltwater pool that can be heated to your liking, with a unique fountain feature for a soothing poolside ambiance. The backyard gets plenty of sun throughout the day and there are chaise lounges on the pool deck for laying out. When you've had enough sun, the covered lanai provides lots of shade and seating. Here you will find a full outdoor dining set and propane BBQ grill, with easy access to the kitchen. There's also a convenient half bathroom located outside for easy access from the pool.
THE LIVING AREA...
The open living plan of the first floor was designed with the idea of entertaining in mind and has plenty of room to go around. The grand living room impresses with a soaring vaulted ceiling, a large flat screen TV (swivel-mounted for maximum viewing), comfortable furnishings, and those stunning sliding doors, which offer a serene view of the pool or allow you to keep an eye on the kiddos from inside.
The fully-equipped kitchen is open to the living room and features brand new Samsung appliances and plenty of cabinet space full of all of the tools you'll need to prepare a meal from home. The dining table seats 6 and there's additional seating at the kitchen island. There is also a half bathroom in the hall for convenience.
