This cabin is a gem. The location is on the Kootenai river with the nearest neighbors almost out of sight. Lots of wildlife to look at and experience. The cabin sleeps 6 easily and is secluded from the road. The kitchen is also well equipped. No wifi.
I was hoping for good things as we used to live a short distance from this property, but I was not prepared for just how “perfect” it was. It was beyond my expectations and hopes and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Bald eagles, deer, fish and so much. The best “get-away” ever. My mind and soul are refreshed!
If you are looking for this, this is the place!!

Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
Nice Location but Misleading Listing
1. House wasn't cleaned thoroughly. Wasn't filthy but there was dust everywhere, there was dust in the bedrooms, the blinds, and kids fingerprints on windows.
2. No soap, no paper towels, the light in the kitchen didn't work; it was blinking and very dim.
3. Manager wouldn't return phone calls. So I called the owner, the owner acted concerned but did nothing to remedy the situation.
4. They advertised a TV and there was no TV. In the picture there was a gas bbq but no gas bbq.
5. There was an issue with the payment and they did refund me, but it was a hassle.
I feel like a deserve a 1 day free stay and would like to have one.

I feel like these kind of people are always complaining about everything in life and are never happy and always looking for something free just like what he’s asking for.?
this is not a house in the city this is a cabin in the woods. He had Called me and told me about a couple concerns that he had that I did fix while he was there. There was never a gas bbq there. ? He just assumed! There was an electric one there At one time. But I never advertised that. I did go buy a charcoal grill for him and placed it there, after he asked!!
I stayed there the week prior to him arriving and everything was stocked. And when I talked to him he never mentioned no soap? Or I would have had some brought over.
There are 2 TVs there. No cable or satellite Just VHS. Tapes. Old school.
The DVD player did come up missing and hasn’t been replaced.
This is a real log cabin in the woods on the river. If you want immaculate. This is not for you.
This is an amazing property and home. I highly recommend it for a get away in NW Montana. Perfect fishing hole right out front and great access to others in the area. Cam is a great host and keeps the home in great condition.
Stop what you’re doing and rent this cabin! My parents, husband, two young children and I rented this gorgeous cabin while staying in Libby over Labor Day weekend. We were visiting family and wanted a home base for kids to nap as well as offer a bit of a getaway to our family who lives in Libby. It served all of this and so much more! We enjoyed tons of fresh linens, VERY comfortable beds, and the best throwback collection of DVDs and VHS your heart could desire! My favorite part was watching a mother deer and her babies frolicking through the tall grass as we enjoyed the views of the rushing Kootenai river while sipping on our coffee each morning, it was truly magical. Btw.. the photos don’t do justice of just how ON the river this cabin is, it was absolutely epic. Thank you!
The property is beautiful, also the cabin. We would sit and watch the moon walk across the Koontenai River. Getting in touch with the owner was a breeze. I truthfully did not want to leave.
We enjoyed the house very much. It was clean and provided everything we needed in the kitchen. There was plenty of space for all 6 of us to gather and go into hiding. Outside we enjoyed watching the wildlife in the yard and the sky above us.
Great location on a secluded, wooded lot right on the river. We were visited by deer and turkeys daily. I loved sitting on the deck overlooking the river every morning with my cup of coffee. Log home stayed cool despite 90+ degree weather.
Log home, breathtaking mountains, Kootenai River the ultimate vacation getaway
If you are looking for an amazing, beautiful and peaceful log home nestled in tall pines on the edge of the Kootenai River, this is the place for you! I can't hardly describe the overwhelming beauty of this large log home overlooking some of the most breathtaking views of surrounding mountains with the river flowing right below it. The fishing was great and a grill on the deck made it so easy to prepare fresh rainbow trout caught the same day. Eagles, ducks and osprey were abundant as well as deer right outside our window. The deck was a lovey place to spend the evening with a glass of our favorite wine. We absolutely loved our stay and we are looking forward to another visit in the near future.
We had this place for our family and some friends. It was great, lots of room, nice location on the rover. Place was clean and nice. Located only a couple miles from Libby so easy to run into town.
Wonderful cabin located on the river. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the place as well. Cabin has everything you need, and is a perfect little get away to go and enjoy the outdoors. Our first day we were able to enjoy Bald eagles and osprey just off the patio.
Excellent host and property. Everything was in perfect order and well supplied. An excellent view and comfortable lodging. Easy to find and the stay was better than expected. I will most likely stay there again in the future. I am recommending it to my friends as a great place to stay.
Beautiful place to sit an relax. Loved it had wheelchair access as well.
First time renting a home for a long weekend. This was easier then booking a hotel and you have great communication with the manager/owner. We will definitely go back
Beautiful log cabin on the rivers edge in Libby. We spent hours on the deck enjoying the beauty of the river and watching sunsets and the rising of the moon. Also, an abundance of wildlife right off the deck which was fun to see every morning and night. So relaxing and quiet, but close enough to town to get anything we needed. The cabin had plenty of room for our family, afull kitchen which we used for most of our meals, laundry and the accommodations were perfect. The cabin is located in a great spot and not a far drive to Kootenai Falls and we also ventured to Yaak, the Libbly Dam, Rexford/Eureka, Horseback riding in Kalispell and the chain of Lakes. Highly recommend and we are looking forward to coming back again during our next vacation!
Wonderfully equipped house on river to enjoy wildlife. Occasional fishermen passed by. Beautiful deck setting to enjoy the evening. Lots to see and do in the area. Property manager immediately responsive to issue we had. We will be back.
