Very peaceful. Unfortunately, IGA didn't have any wood so we couldn't use the firepit. The shower needs to have some rails to assist with showering if needed. A veranda on the East side would come in handy during inclement weather
Such a nice stay! Highly recommend this property. The views are beautiful and the stay was very comfortable and clean. Waking to all the wildlife truly enhanced our experience too.
Margie and Ross have been great hosts. The location is amazing and quiet. Plenty of firewood to burn and well stocked kitchen utensils.

Elvis and his partner were our ideal guests, using our facility just how we envisioned when we built it, enjoying the firepit and escaping the rat race to just relax and unwind and staying put to enjoy the serenity. Love to host them again. A respectful guest 10/10 😊
Raglan Retreat is a well presented property and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our short break there. It is situated in a peaceful spot with expansive views across the surrounding countryside. We appreciated Sally's comprehensive list of local attractions too.
The place was really comfortable to stay in, and made it a nice, relaxing holiday. The studio was clean and spacious enough for a couple. The set up was good, with suitable amenities. Would recommend if looking for a place to relax!
Great spot! Clean and modern and super comfortable whatever the time of year, despite being out of the way we were given concise directions (also easy to find on Google maps too) and it's very easy to find. Close enough to the local town for any last minute needs and close to some walking trails too. Highly recommend for a quiet stress free getaway
Let me start off with the amazing host Sally, with her immediate contact message letting me know about everything to do around the area and clear directions to get the the Raglan Retreat.
From the Cows and Sheep welcoming you to the property, to the security of the mini property the retreat is located on the farm, to the amazing little house with everything you need to um wind from the rush of day to day living to really connect with your partner.
Have and will be recommending Raglan Retreat to everyone wanting a getaway

Such a lovely review thank you Joanne. It was a pleasure to host you!
We decided to go for a hike in the local Mount Buangor State Forrest. The day was dreary and rainy and yet we were excited to set out for the hike. 45 mins in to the hike we found ourselves on top of the mountain, covered in rain, sweat, and loving it. The air, omg, was so fresh. We made our way back to the stay, striped off the layers and fell in to the shower where we enjoyed a comfortable hot shower with excellent flow. We had done our shopping, and so while dressed in our most comfortable clothes we cooked with ease a couple of beautiful tomahawk steaks on the stove and oven, coupled with roasted pumpkin and tarragon. Everything was there making it very easy for us to cook our meal. We sat back and had a glass of red and wondered, can this stay never end.
Beautifully appointed in every way & so much thought has gone into really making it a luxurious retreat. All the little touches really added to the experience. Location is stunning & couldn’t have wished for anything more perfect for our getaway! Perfect hosts, highly recommend Raglan Retreat!

Why they chose this property
This light, bright, sunny modern home has all you need to hide away and enjoy the peaceful surrounds, fresh mountain air and stunning views. Expect to feel overawed with the sights that surround you and get carried away in a magical sense of freedom and peace. Enter in to the open plan kitchen/living, put your feet up and sit back in on the comfortable 2 seater lounge while you take in the view from all angles or watch your favourite program on the wall-mounted smart tv. Grab a book and catch up on some reading while you listen to the birds or watch the native animals.
The kitchen has a built in electric oven, gas cook top, and sink, with glass splash-back providing another view of the birds and mountain backdrop. There is a fridge/freezer, kettle and toaster, coffee machine and water purifier. All crockery and cutlery, pots, pans, cooking utensils and glassware are provided to cook for yourself.
Relax outside with a glass of wine or hot drink and toast marshmallows around the fire-pit whilst being mesmerised by the stunning star filled sky which is simply breath taking on clear nights. (Fire restrictions apply in summer) Inside, the house is warmed by passive solar from the sunny windows, or by reverse cycle air-conditioning which also cools the house in summer, with remote ceiling fans to living and bedroom areas.
Please help conserve energy by turning it off if you go out for extended periods.
What makes this property unique
Our property is rugged and undulating and care needs to be taken 'watch your step' and shut all gates that you open.
For mobile phone reception we must advise that Vodafone receives poor reception in our out of the way location, Optus can be hit and miss, Telstra is pretty good mostly but why not see it as a chance to detox from technology for a few days! If you are cooking meals in the kitchenette please use the exhaust fan over the stove and slightly open a window to avoid lingering food aroma's for the next guests in the small space (thank you)
