Private Boutique Hotel with four modern eco-friendly Villas managed by its owners with a passion to make your stay memorable. Our Villas has been individually design with a minimalist concept, details that may be tiny but thoughtful with a luxury feel, finding a balance between private and shared spaces.

At Villas Kalei we believe in contributing to preserve the environment, supporting our community, nature and wildlife. Villas Kalei is committed to minimizing our impact on the planet, we do it by using environmentally-friendly products, organic soap, shampoo and conditioner hand made in Costa Rica, non-toxic cleaning supplies. We promote water, power conservation and recycling.

To Book entire property please send us an email for quote. Property consists in 4 separate Villas that sleeps 4 persons per Villa with private bathroom on each Villa and outdoor showers. The 4 Villas together accomodate a total of 16 guests, community kitchen, pool, 3 minutes drive to Playa Grande Beach.

Villas Kalei has join the 1% Playa Grande Community Fund. Which will be donating 1% of your stay to the APGS - Asociación Playa Grande Sostenible. Villas Kalei is committed to a more sustainable future and Playa Grande’s long term environmental and social wellbeing.

Fantastic Experience

Playa Grande is our favorite place to be. Jeisha and Marcos are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our Villa was very comfortable, clean and exactly what was pictured. We will definitely be back to Villas Kalei!

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Villas Kalei. The Villa was spotless, the entire property is well maintained, beautiful plants and trees. All bed linens and towels are high quality. We felt very safe and welcome. Restaurants close by and quick access to beach. Marcos and Jeisha are fantastic hosts and we will definitely return.

Family owned business. On one of our vacations we fell in love with Playa Grande, Guanacaste for its beach, its people and nature, surrounded by tranquility and peace.

Why they chose this property

Villas Kalei offer relax atmosphere and the tranquility for a perfect Vacation. Playa Grande, Guanacaste is internationally popular as one of Costa Rica best surfing spots also belong to National Park Las Baulas which protects Costa Rica’s most important nesting site of Leatherback Sea Turtles. Just a three minutes drive from Villas Kalei you can enjoy a beautiful beach with fine pale sand backed by a coastal vegetation. Playa Grande beach has a sandy bottom and waves big enough to surf, but not big enough to prevent a comfortable swim. On the northern end of Playa Grande beach a trail behind the rocks leads to Playa Ventanas, a pristine beach that offers tidepools for snorkeling and bathing. On the southern end is the Estuary of the Rio Matapalo, that separate Playa Grande from the closest town Tamarindo you can only go across the river by boat they are called Pangas.
