First Gulf Shores Vacation

We enjoyed our vacation so much. The house was great and the pool was amazing. The location and beach access was excellent. We would definitely stay here again. Such a great place for a large group.

Best Beach House in Gulf Shores!

We booked this for a family beach vacation with grandparents, siblings and ton of cousins to enjoy for a week in June. This is the perfect location and was so big! Everyone had plenty of room and the walk to the beach was so easy! We will be staying here every year!

50th Wedding Anniversary trip

My family visited to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary and the house was set up perfect for it. Very convenient to have 2 kitchen and living rooms. Beautiful views and great weather.

We had a blast!! The girls loved being able to access the beach and enjoy the volleyball net. The rooms and showers were impeccable and fit our team perfectly! Loved having two kitchens and the appliances and dish ware fit all of our needs. We will make this a yearly trip for our Gulf Shores tournament.

Great Place for a Group

This is a beautiful property with everything one could ask for—spacious, very clean, two beautiful and well-equipped kitchens, nice bedding, plenty of bathrooms, a wonderful and large pool and outdoor kitchen and perfect placement on the beach. The owners are very timely in their communications. This is a perfect house for a group. I highly recommend it.

Amazing Family Get-Away Spot!!

When we arrived there were some issues on Christmas Day and the owners immediately responded and had someone at the house within 5 minutes!! Overall, we had a relaxing week, enjoying the pool, beach and outdoor spaces. This is the perfect place for a family reunion with lots of space for playing games, eating and just being together. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom which was so nice! Overall it was a great week and we would highly recommend this rental.

Good location, easy access

This house gave us everything we were looking for. The location of this house is excellent. Easy access to all the things in the area. The private boardwalk to the beach is great, as you do not have to walk over the sand dune. The pool was nice but chilly ($500 to heat was a bit extreme for us). The elevator is really handy. The main kitchen is stocked well. Plenty of parking. We had 20 people ages 3-84 and everyone had space. The view from the decks was amazing. With all that said, we would not stay here again based on the price. We did splurge on this last family vacation (older relatives last trip) but most of the family agreed it was still not worth the price. We had no problems with anything. The owners were gone so the neighbors were very helpful when we asked for things.

Loved it!

The boardwalk to the beach was great. The pool was very accommodating. The whole outdoor experience was perfect. We started with 32 and everyone was comfortable. The upstairs kitchen / living area wasn’t used much. It ended up being an office area for those that needed to get some work done. Was great to have two fridges, and indoor ice maker on each floor, and a wine fridge on each floor. Some of the king sized rooms are a little small with limited storage space. But, it all works out cause it was just a place to sleep, shower, change. No issues with the owner living upstairs.

Gulf Shores Family Reunion

Our family stayed at Porter’s Mark over the 4th of July. The property is very nice and all that we hoped for based on the pictures. The private pool, outdoor grilling and eating area, and access to the beach is A+. The owners are very friendly and quick to respond to any requests. My only suggestion is more amenities readily accessible such as extra toilet paper, tissues, trash bags and pool/beach towels as a hotel would supply, especially since our family was coming in from all over the country, many of us flying, and could not bring those items with us. I would highly recommend this property as a vacation destination. Gulf Shores is beautiful and has great energy without being too busy. The home was impressive and a great place to bond as a family. Everyone had a wonderful time.

AWESOME brand new house

This is a brand new home with tons of space to spread out. Renters will be using the first 2 floors while the top floor is for the owners use. The owner was not there during our stay. There were a few bugs to work out being a new home such as the wifi would go out almost daily but any issues we had were immediately addressed by maintenance staff, literally the same day, within hours of the call. All the appliances are top of the line and beds are very comfortable. Pool and outdoor kitchen area are awesome and a great place to spend evening time after a long day at the beach. Loved this house. Thanks to the Porters for a great vacation spot!!!!

Great stay for our family reunion!

We had a fabulous time staying in this property! Communication with the owners was very easy and the property manager checked in every day with us to make sure everything was going smoothly. The house was very clean when we arrived. Plenty of space for our very large family reunion! We loved having 2 floors so the young kids could go to sleep on one floor and the teenagers could still be loud until late on the other floor. It was also helpful having 2 complete kitchens, one per floor, as well as two sets of washers/dryers. Plenty of space to all sit together on the main floor with 2 full tables, bar chairs and a couple tabletops on the patio too! The pool was a nice addition as some of the littles preferred it over the beach. They had lots of pool loungers and picnic tables in the shade under the house. But the beach itself is lovely...volleyball nets set up for anyone to use and plenty of space to spread out without being all packed in like some beaches. We would definitely stay again!

Awesome property!!!

This house is absolutely beautiful!! Very clean and great accommodations. We had 22 in our group ranging from ages of 5-71. They had everything there to get your week started. There was toilet paper, a few pods for dishwasher and a few pods for laundry. We had also brought all that for our week stay. The walkway leading to the beach was really nice. And we really loved the pool!! We enjoyed the place so much that we really did not feel much need to venture out. Although when you did everything was close. Just a few minutes away. We cooked dinner almost every night of our week stay and we thought they had everything in the kitchen you would need. My only advice is to make sure you read everything on the refrigerator and counter that the owner leaves for instructions. Because we did not see the note about the city coming after dusk and removing everything on the beach. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. And would love to go back!!

Annual family vacation!

Wow! Amazing! Magnificent! Those are just a few descriptors that come to mind when I think of Portersmark! We have searched for years to find the perfect house for our annual family vacation! We finally found it! The search is over! Portersmark hit all of the "marks" for the perfect spot! The house is jaw-dropping! The decor looked like they hired Chip and Joanna from Fixer Upper to help design and decorate this marvelous property. The beds were so comfortable, bathrooms were beautiful, kitchen was top-notch; well-stocked and organized! The pool and outdoor kitchen area topped off this magnificent house! It is the perfect place to hang out after a hot day on the beach and have a family cookout! There is plenty of seating with the tremendous tables and lounge chairs. Even the boardwalk was well-thought out with the great floor that was not hot and didn't give any of the little ones splinters! We booked our vacation for next year the day we left. Kate and Mark are wonderful people to work with and I look forward to seeing them every year when we return each summer for our family vacation at Portersmark!

The view was great! Everything else was...

The location is fantastic and the pool deck area is great, but the rest leaves a lot to be desired. I hosted a group of fellow VRBO Hosts (12 to be exact) and everyone had the same experience which did not live up to what you will pay for this per night. At that price you would expect the WIFI to work, the outdoor BBQ not to be leaking natural gas and a fire hazard, for the bathrooms to have bath soap, maybe some lotion and on a really good day possibly shower gel or conditioner, but there was nothing. The majority of the forks are bent, the cookie sheets and most of the pans need to be thrown away and replaced, and to our chagrin it was apparent that the host really didn’t care especially after multiple messages about the WiFi that never worked she instructed me to handle it on my own. It pains me to write this as I have never left a negative review before, but my guests and fellow hosts insisted as we need to be honest so the next potential guest can make an informed decision, Almost forgot about the couch on the main floor. It needs to be replaced as It used to be tan, but now it’s black. And be sure your ready to clean before you check out and you are required to wash, dry, food and replace all towels and do the dishes after paying a hefty cleaning fee and even a linen fee. As you can already tell I can not in good faith recommend this property.

From great grandparents to great grandchild and every age in between this location checks all the boxes. So much space and the pool and beach access make this a must book! Thanks to Joe who made sure we had all we needed and even took a family picture for us!
