This is a unique small standalone cottage. It has its own private entrance, with secure private parking. There is a sparkling diving pool and hot tub with jacuzzi bubbles. Come for a few nights or a month. You will be pleased with the experience.

Guests have access to their cottage and pool and back yard privileges. It will be home away from home.

Basic expectations
We accept couples only. No children are allowed. The pool and ladder create too great of a hazard. No pets. No parties allowed. No kissing or petting or display of affection determined unsuitable by owners in the common areas. Guests will be asked to leave if such display is detected. Swim at your own risk. No lifeguard on premises.

Interaction with guests
We live in an adjacent home and will be available most all of the time. We prefer you communicate through the VRBO app.

Quaint Cottage

This stay was wonderful! Jackie and Ted are great hosts and accommodated everything very nicely! I would highly recommend staying here again and for others to stay as well.

So relaxing

I came to Dallas to meet a sister I’d never met before (we found each other through DNA testing). Because I was nervous and not sure we would hit it off, I looked for a place that would be quiet and serene and comfortable enough to enjoy being by myself should she not be available often. This little cottage captivated me with its blue tiles, white claw foot tub and cozy seating areas and was just what I needed. I absolutely loved staying there. I was pleasantly surprised by being greeted with a Welcome sign and bouquets of fresh roses! It was the perfect place to stay alone. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. Oh, and the bed was very comfortable. The hosts were so kind and welcoming and very accessible when I had a question. P.S. My sister and I ended up seeing each other every day and the friendship we’d begun through emails and texts deepened easily, so I didn’t end up being solitary very long.

Lovely place, Lovely Hosts

Lovely place with lovely hosts. They were quick to help out when we could not figure out how to work things. Quiet and quaint property. Local church bells periodically ringing were pleasant in our opinion. Ideal location for our needs.

Quiet oasis

The place was great! The pool was inviting on a hot summer day. My husband and I enjoyed our time of solitude for our anniversary. The hosts are very responsive and generous. The kitchen is well stocked if you decide to cook. It was inviting - a home away from home.

Jackie & Ted have been married for over 30 years. Ted is a special needs School Bus Driver. Jackie has been a truck broker for over 30 years. She has recently retired. Jackie & Ted both grew up in the area and are long time residents of Dallas, TX. We enjoy movies, swimming, eating out, Jackie is an avid reader. Jackie does Pilates twice a week. Ted works out some in our home gym. We love to go to the beach at Galveston, Rockport and any others we can find. We made it to Orange Beach in Alabama last year. We also enjoy staying in State Parks. We recently stayed in an Airstream rental in Laurel, MS owned by Mallory who is a regular on HGTV"s Hometown. Please come and enjoy some down time in our beautifully done guest house. It's secure and peaceful. It's Almost Heaven.
