Dogwood Dreams} Awesome Views, Awesome Game-room, WiFi, Hot tub, No steep roads
"Dogwood Dreams"Cabin is nestled in the foothills of the Smoky Mountain National Park. This cabin has it all just minutes away from the attractions of Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg, yet quietly tucked away in one of the premier gated communities of Wears Valley. The cabin is very accessible and while offering great mountain views, does NOT require guests to drive through steep, winding and narrow roads to get to.
When you first arrive at the cabin you will find that there's plenty of flat parking for at least 6 vehicles. From there its just a few steps to get to the main level which has a wrap around porch with a covered gazebo with a private hot tub overlooking beautiful mountain views. Before entering the Cabin you will also notice the new extra-large entertainment deck where you can dine outside or just sit and enjoy the Smoky Mountains. Once you go inside the cabin you will enter into the living room, dining room & kitchen. For those who can't do stairs, no problem, the master King bedroom & bath are located on this main level. Upstairs in the loft is the 2nd bedroom with a king bed & just off the loft is the private bunk room that sleeps 3 in twin size beds. There is also a full size bathroom on this level. The second level also has it's own private balcony! Downstairs there is another bedroom with a king bed & full bath. In the game room you can play a game of pool, foosball or darts. Also located in the game room is another bunk bed and a full size sofa bed for additional sleeping.
What also makes this cabin special is that the back yard is fairly flat so if your so inclined, you or the children will have a nice area to play or run-around outdoors. :)
Thank You for considering our wonderful cabin.....and God Bless

We arrived at Dogwood Dreams later than expected. We experienced a few minor setbacks that evening with our sleeping arrangements. After making contact with the owner on Monday morning and explaining our situation, he had his local maintenance person come to the cabin that afternoon to make right our setbacks. Because of our schedule, we were unable to use some of the cabins amenities. We loved the location and the view along with the quiet neighborhood. We would consider staying in or around the same local again. Owner was very professional and prompt with communications.
Overall stay was good. Internet was not good, place is in dire need of pots, pans, and essentials. Owner was responsive with a few small issues we had.
The house was easy to find and had only one moderately steep hill to navigate. It was clean and comfortable. It slept 10 women comfortably. We enjoyed the hot tub. We had an issue with the TV's downstairs, and it was resolved promptly by the company. Everything was about 15-20 minutes away.
Loved the cabin ♥️ we had some issues with the upstairs bathroom, commode not flushing properly. The washing machine agitator would not pull the top towels down to wash thoroughly, the motor was working fine but agitator just would not engage properly. Other than that our only other issue was the smell of the water. It is well water and although very cold it smelled like sulfur. I would suggest anyone who rents, take plenty of drinking water because it smells so bad we would not drink it. But like I said we enjoyed the cabin very very much, it is well equipped with everything you need to cook in the kitchen and it has a charcoal grill for grilling steaks. Very large yard area with fence for children to outside, probably the largest I’ve seen at any of the cabins we’ve stayed in over the years. Very convenient to Pigeon Forge and is not a horrible drive getting to the cabin either. Overall I would rate the cabin and the surrounding grounds at a 10+. The smell of the well water is the worse but the cabin makes it easy to over look that part ♥️ Thanks for sharing your cabin with us
The house was beautiful. The only thing was the water smelled horrible and the driveway was ver steep. Owners very pleasant and easy to talk to.

Family getaway
The house was pretty nice but was in need of a good cleaning. The water was very stinky and not drinkable because of the smell and taste. Showering was not enjoyable and you wondered if you smelled bad. All that being said they allowed a dog and had no list of crazy rules to follow.
smelled as bad as the water. With the water
Very clean and spacious. Host has the kitchen supplied with anything you could need to prepare meals. The only thing we could not stand was the strong smell of the well water. I grew up with well water, so I am used to it, but very over powering.
overpowering
The house fit our needs perfectly. Everyone had space and plenty of places to sleep. We were close to Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. The views from the house were beautiful. The deck railing wiggled and that was concerning. Overall everyone had a lot of fun!
Thank u so much for allowing us to ise your lovely home...it was perfect...we had such an amazing time with our framily...we only went ont one night the rest we grilled and cooked and stayed in the cabin...we laughed so much had the best time downstairs playing pool...and in the hot tub...we did notice the smell from the well water...but we have well water at home...it didn't bother us a bit...i woukd give this owners and cabin 10 stars if i could...i hope to rent this cabin again!! Thank u again for everything!
Our family had a great time and really enjoyed our stay here. It was perfect for my elderly parents who stayed on the main floor, my sister and her adult children who stayed on the lower floor and my family with young teen/adult children and one 10 years old in the loft area. And one pug dog who stayed in her playpen on the main floor. The house was perfect for a get together and close to the grocery store, shopping, zip lines and for our outing to hike the Smokey Mountains. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here! Great place!
Nice place. Good location. About time to replace the sectional though. Does have sulfur water, but a lot of cabins in the mountains do. Nothing you can do about that. Overall a good place.
I’m so happy I found Dogwood Dreams. It was perfect in every single way for us. 3 king size beds is a huge bonus when you’ve got cousins who like sleepovers! The 2 sets of bunk beds and 3 bathrooms BONUS!!! The porch is HUGE!! We actually had snow on one of the evenings and we had a blast on the porch! The table is huge. The fire place was exactly what we hoped for. There’s a super cute fuzzy bear on the couch that we named BooBoo and moved him around the cabin for the kids to find each morning. Literally every single thing was perfect for my husbands 50th birthday. We loved the area but we loved being in that cabin more than visiting the area. We hated leaving such a beautiful place. We’re hoping to make it a family event and we vowed to stay in the same place as much as we can. Communication was stellar! The owners are amazing and very responsive. The water wasn’t an issue for us. Some of us were raised with well water and we know, it is what it is. The smell is normal and dissipates fairly quickly. I would give 10 stars if possible. Highly recommend for small or large families.
Start to finish review….
Booking was easy and simple. We picked this home because we travel with small dogs and this rental is pet friendly. We paid the fee for each pet which I felt was appropriate.
Getting to the cabin is really easy. Directions were easy to follow. Location was perfect for us because we were doing activities in both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.
This cabin space worked out so well for us. The top floor has a king bed, full bathroom, and the bunk room that slept 3. Total of 5 can sleep on the top floor. Middle level has the living space, kitchen and another king bedroom plus bathroom. Bottom floor was amazing. We were traveling with kids and teens. Down at the bottom floor there is a full bedroom king sized, full bathroom, a game room, a set of bunk beds, plus a couch that folds out for another bed. So bottom floor can sleep 6 (may even more!) .
There is only one tiny issue and it has been mentioned in many of the reviews. The water for the home is well water and it is rather stinky. We brought our own water for the trip and used it for brushing teeth, etc. Most everyone showered extremely quick!! Other than that, the cabin was 5 star!!
I would definitely recommend this cabin. The layout is great for families of all ages!
Nice cabin with plenty of space and entertainment.

Not the experience we hoped for!
Odor from the water as you enter the cabin. No fire pit, Dart board or foosball table. It listed a pull-out sofa but wasn't one. We didn't have enough towels, no extra trash bags and Mildew in the hot tub. I have photos to back up this review. We had to use bottled water to brush our teeth. the water was H2S (Sulphur) very strong odor throughout cabin. I hope they get a new cleaning crew as well.I messaged the host with no reply. Bad business!!!
Second time we have stayed here….read the negative reviews and do not agree with any of it except the smelly water ( not the first cabin we have stayed at that had smelly well water). The cabin is perfect for a large family, they enjoyed the pool table and we enjoyed the large back deck ( despite previous review claiming it was falling off, also baseless) needs updating, but comfortable and would stay here again.
The property is lovely, with 3 levels ans 3 king sized beds, plus lots of bunks and other sleeping theoughout. We enjoyed the pool table and the rocking chairs on the large porch. The hot tub was great after long days of hiking around. The cabin os close enough to Pigeon Forge that you can be on the main strip within 15 minutes but far enough away from the lights and noise to enjoy the peace of the mountains. If there was one comment, the water did have a very strong sulfur smell. The owner dod let me know it is wrll water so it can be cloudy and have slight odor, bit thos was strong. We ended up buying bottled water because even the filtered fridge water had an odor. We also boight a replacement filtering showered head at local hardware store, which helped significantly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and made a lot of wonderful family memories!

Crappy from the moment of arrival
The water for this cabin smells so bad that you can't even stay in the bathroom if the water is running for a few seconds or flushing a toliet. It literally stinks up the whole place in a matter of seconds not just the bathroom. If there is any that can be done to remedy this, it needs to be done. I had 7 total people staying there, and there is no way we could have gone our whole stay, not showering or using the restroom because of the smell. It is horrific of sulfur (smelt like a septic tank)!
Here is a list of all the problems:
1. Water quality / smell
2. Poor maintenance
3. The front porches were unsafe for use and look to be sinking away from the house.
4. Poor exterior lighting for safe entry & exit.
5. Did not stay but 1 night of the 3 paid for. No refund issued by owner has of today, 10-11-2023
6. Tried contacting the #'s giving to call with problems. We called / texted and still haven't recieved a response to date 10-11-2023. We had to move to another cabin with another company after the first night of our family vacation and spend more money that we shouldnt have had to.
7. Had to wait til almost 5pm to check in even though we arrive right at specified checkin time of 4pm. Cleaning crew was there and cleaning when we arrived.
My family and myself or friends will never be using this owner to provide us with a vacation rental. I will be contacting any and all local officials that need to know about this cabin's condition, if no response is received in 10 days.
We loved the cabin and location. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Cabin was comfy and loved the porch to hang out on. Plenty of seating. The only thing we DIDN’T LIKE was the sulfur water. My family just couldn’t get used to the smell so we didn’t shower. Just wiped off with baby wipes. Brushed our teeth with bottled water. The housekeeping could use a refresher course on cleaning floors and around baseboards. Loved this cabin. Would definitely stay again if not for the water smell. Overall great experience.
