About this property

Beach House in a fantastic location With Stunning Views.

The property has been completely modernised to provide a spacious comfortable living space.
Walk out of the patio or back door and a few steps will take you on to the safe sandy beaches of the Nature Reserve.
There is a large west facing private roof terrace with far reaching views over the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve.
Olhao,Faro, Cultura island and San Miguel mountain can all be seen in the distance.
The large private roof terrace is perfect for sunbathing, dining out and watching the wonderful Algarve sunset, also fantastic for star gazing.
There is a south facing patio area outside the back door with a chimney style bbq, dining table with seating and a gate to the beach with a cold water shower.
There is a further seating area under the covered front balcony which lead to the stairs to the roof terrace.
All of the outside area's have lighting for sitting out in the lovely warm evenings.
There are 3 bedrooms and a wc located of off the main hallway.
A connecting privacy door takes you in to the large main living area.
Comfortable seating in the lounge has views through the triple opening patio doors over the beach and Ria Formosa.Free wifi is available throughout the house.
A large modern bathroom with wc,bidet and walk in rain shower is accessed from this room.
A fully equipped modern kitchen and dining area were installed in 2024, The side door leads out to the south facing patio and bbq area.
The property has free wifi and multi channel tv .
We are 5 minutes from the ferry, shops and restaurants.

When you rent our property you agree to the following terms and conditions.
OCCUPANCY
The house is for a maximum of 6 persons including children. We can supply a free travel cot for babies. We cannot allow extra persons to stay and they will be asked to leave or we reserve the right to terminate your holiday without refund.
LINEN AND TOWELS
The property is self catering, we supply fresh bed linen and towels but not beach towels.

SMOKING.
We have a very strict no smoking policy in the property. Please respect this as we do not want to have to charge you for a deep clean to remove the odour, smoking is permitted in the outside area's.
CLEANING.
The house is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised prior to your arrival, we do expect you to leave it clean to avoid any additional cleaning charges.

CCTV.
The property has cctv on all external entrance and exits for added security.

Absolutely stunning location right on the beach with a gorgeous view. Modern clean and beautifully decorated. We had the best week celebrating my daughter's first birthday and festilia visiting family on the island. My daughter loved exploring the house and beach, taking us to the beach from the living room every opportunity she had and even took her her first steps.We will definitely be returning, and staying here again.

Lovely and clean, well equipped, gave our family ranging from 9 years old to mid 70s a well deserved break.

This was an amazing choice! Couldn't be better located for a quiet week with a 4year old. Amazing venue. Only thing is the bed (couple bed) was not good at all... And it would be good to have small lamps by the beds in the other rooms. Other than that it was amazing! Very good kitchen and terrace and most of all, getting out of the house directly to the beach. thank you.

Idyllic Beach House on Armona

Trisha's beach house on Armona is really lovely and in a perfect location on the island, just steps from the beach and very close to the ferry, The house itself is very comfy and nicely decorated throughout. We really enjoyed our stay there and have already booked to go back next year!!

Perfect relaxing break

Second visit to Armona and this house and the island is beautiful and relaxing. The house is clean tidy and perfectly situated on the beach. The host and the contacts on the island are fantastic and couldn’t ask for more.

We had a fantastic trip to Armona. The house was clean and basic but perfectly situated for the kids to run out onto the beach. We would happily stay again.

Beautiful Armona - again!

A beautiful setting for this lovely house. Very convenient for the limited number of shops, restaurants and the beach, with a roof terrace for dawdling over breakfast and watching the sunset

Fab location , very clean , good communication with the owner via email Easy , laid back and definitely want to revisit this island ! Thank you for a wonderful place to stay -so close to the beach ; the on shore breeze right through the patio doors was a godsend !

the house is perfectly situated for ferry shops and beach,it is clean and well equipped have booked again for next year bit disappointed it is going to be changed from 6 capacity to 4 but its a great house would recommend

Nice stay at Ilha da Armona

The house is nice and spacious, 100m from the river beach and 15mins walk from the sea beach. Although we had a few issues with the utilities, they were always reaolved quickly by the host.

Family holiday

We had a wonderful holiday at this property. The Island is a true gem and the house is a perfect place to explore it. Trisha's beach house is really lovely and in a perfect location on the island, really just steps from the beach and also very close to the ferry, shops and cafés. The house itself is very clean and well appointed. We really enjoyed our stay there and hope to book to go back next year!!

Always a pleasure

I have stayed on Armona a few times over last 7-8 years and this is my favourite house. Location from ferry great, as not too far to walk with suitacses/ bags etc but very private. Roof terrace a lovely bonus.

My second happy stay 😊

With 3 disabled oldies, we needed a property close to the beach, shops and restaurants. The house has it all as well as 2 bathrooms and 2 very user friendly showers. It’s a short walk to the sea which is perfect for all. As avid bird watchers, we were thrilled to see loads from the house and the upstairs balcony.

Beach house paradise

House is perfectly located on Armona island. On beach front. Ideal position to watch sunsets. House is well equipped. Roof terrace and BBQ. Owners communicate well. Good value for money.

Wonderful Week

The location is great - a few steps from Armona-Ria beach, in a quiet place and not far from cafes and mini markets. Fantastic view from the terrace. The house is spacious, well decorated and the bathrooms are very good. It has everything needed for cooking. The cleanliness of the exterior and terrace needs to be improved and one of the mattresses in the first double bedroom needs to be changed as the springs can be felt.

A few niggles

This was our tenth visit to Armona and we love the island. We were disappointed with the welcome we received from the person appointed to show us to the house. Our polite enquiries regarding the gas stove and the working of the television were met with incredulity that we could not instantly master their workings. The house needed some work eg the kitchen tap was unstable, only three out of the four gas rings were usable and the roof terrace lights did not work so we could not use it at night.

Disappointing stay at an overpriced house

On arrival at 11pm the beds were unmade and deficient of linen, the hospitality was poor, 1 dirty cloth, 1 dirty tea towel and 1 small towel per person. The sink was leaking and there was a gas leak under the hob. The house was not clean and the shower had sand left in it from the previous tenant. With the four of us that were staying here we had only 1 fork, 1 spoon, 1 plate and one, 1 blunt knife, each. Needless to say we will not be returning to stay at this house again.

Great location, inventory needs improvement

All what is written in other reviews is true. The location of the house is really great. Close to the Ria beach. Atmosphere on the island is fantastic. The house is cosy and fully equipped. What gave us mixed feelings was that the inventory left much to be desired in many places. We offered to indicate what was wrong, but there was not much interest in this. Most dangerous thing we had was a glued-on wing of a ceiling fan that came down. Fortunately, the fan was not running. I don't want to think what would have happened if the fan had been running at full speed. The washing machine was unusable and no alternative offered. Showering with occasional hot water. Outside bench looks fantastic on the photos, but unfortunately now so dirty that you don't dare sit on it. 2 outside chairs and 1 inside chair that you can sink through at any moment and unfortunately this was not all. We tried to be as little as possible bothered by the defects and so we still had a fantastic time at Armona. Thank you very much for staying at your house.

Apesar da boa localização, o imóvel apresenta algumas falhas, nomeadamente não possuí pratos, tem poucos talheres, forno não funciona, a loiça, tachos, frigideiras guardadas encontravam-se sujas, quartos muito escuros com cheiro a mofo. Não tem ar condicionado (ventoinhas de tecto são insuficientes e fazem muito ruído).Cadeiras para praia anunciadas, encontram-se danificadas, espreguiçadeira de pano (existente na cobertura - terraço) encontra-se rasgada.Local possuí câmaras de vigilância ilegais pelas quais os proprietários observam os clientes infringindo a privacidade dos mesmos. Situação bastante desagradável que nos levou à apresentar queixa nas autoridades. Apesar da beleza natural da ilha e do conformo da localização da casa, não aconselhamos a estadia na mesma.

Super logement extrêmement bien placé

We are from the UK and purchased the property in 2003, we spend as much time as possible on Armona and enjoying sharing the Armona experience with our guests.

Why they chose this property

We found the Island in 2003 and fell under the Armona spell. we were lucky to find a property for sale and in the perfect location on the Island. not to far from the ferry and on the best beach on Armona. Every day living is very easy here with all amenities within easy walking distance.

What makes this property unique

Armona is such an amazing place. We have travelled to many other places and we have never found anywhere that is so unique. Many of our guest's come back year after year with some of them now purchasing there own properties.
Words really don't do the island justice and we are sure that you will have a fantastic holiday.
