The farmhouse Monti 1824 was built 1650 and restored in the traditional Tuscan style, with careful attention to every minor detail. When restructuring and renovating the house for rental apartment, we put ourselves in your shoes to make decisions that would provide a homelike environment of comfort and quality.

The GELSO apartment has been renovate in a country style, with one double bedroom, one bathroom, a kitchen-dining room ,an independent sitting room, lovely bright mansard with 3 single beds for a total of 90 sq.m.

Monti 1824 is located in the municipal district of Siena-Tuscany, in the heart of the wonderful area of Val d'elsa. It is just 1 km from the charming, medieval village of Casole d'elsa where you can find shops, restaurants and typical Tuscan food store. it is joined by a safe road to the village, so you can reach it without car in 10 minutes and have in that way a pleasant walk.

The apartment Gelso is part of Monti 1824 Holiday House where other holiday accommodations are present. In case the Gelso apartment is not free,please contact us to request availability for other holiday properties.
Monti 1824 offers 3 apartments and 3 cottages + a panoramic swimming pool.

ABOUT CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT :

1.Check-in guaranteed not before than 16.00h and until 18.00h. In case of delay ,please contact previously the owner.

2.Check out by 9:00 am.

3.Delivery of the key by the owner ( no self check in )

OPTIONAL COSTS NOT INCLUDED IN PRICE:

+Heating ( on a pay per use basis) : 1.90 euros per hour. There is a thermostat with hour counter inside the apartment to allow the guests using it when they prefer. Period by law for heating use: 1 st November - 15 April .

+Washing machine: 5 euros / wash

+Extral change of towels and linen ( on request) : 16 euros per person

+Mid- cleaning ( on request) : 50 euros

+Pool towels ( on request) : 5 euros / each .Pool towels are not included in the towel set,so must be booked before the arrival date. If pool towels are not booked in advance we cannot guarantee to provide them.

+baby cot with sheets and towels ( on request) : 40 Euros - to pay locally and to book before arrival

+baby cot without sheets and towels ( on request) : 30 Euros - to pay locally and to book before arrival

MANDATORY EXTRA COSTS:

+Stay tax will be requested upon arrival and it mandatory for all guests over 11 years old. The stay tax can be paid only in cash.

+Pool open from April 1st till October 30th (opening may vary depending on weather conditions). Opening time 8.00 - 19.30 .

+Guests will find only upon arrival a starter kit with some courtesy products to start their stay : toilet paper roll ( 1) , hand soap, some dish soap, a few dishwasher tablets.

Great place, great location

We had a great stay at Federica’s place. Excellent pool for the kids, great view to the Tuscany landscape and really nice small Italian city in walking distance which has nice restaurants and nice atmosphere. Federica also gave good recommendations for places to eat and wine tasting. All in all a great pleasant stay which we can recommend to others!

Schöne Lage.

Im Großen und Ganzen waren wir mit unserem Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden. Leider gab es ein paar Schwierigkeiten bei der Anreise, da die Adresse auf fewo nicht gestimmt hat. Leider war das Haus gar nicht geheizt, bei Temperaturen von um oder unter 10 Grad in der Nacht leider nicht optimal. Wir mussten dann die Heizkosten übernehmen. Prinzipiell finde ich das okay, aber eine eiskalte Wohnung auf Normaltemperatur zu heizen braucht ja die meiste Energie, das zu berechnen, fanden wir etwas fragwürdig. Brauchten 2 ganze Tage um die Wohnung auf normale Temperaturen raufzuheizen, was a) nicht gerade gemütlich war und b) kostenintensiv. Könnte man im Voraus kommunizieren. Die Wohnung selbst ist gemütlich und groß. Die Aussicht ein Traum. Leider wurde der Pool inkl. Gartenmöbel am zweiten Tag ohne Vorankündigung weggeräumt. Wir haben unseren Aufenhalt dennoch sehr genossen und können die Gegend nur empfehlen.

Tolle Aussicht in die Toskana

Die Anlage befindet sich in einer wunderschönen Hanglage mit einer fantastischen Aussicht über die Hügel der Toskana. Der kleine Ort Casole d‘Elsa ist zu Fuß schnell zu erreichen. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und schön gestaltet. Federica, die Wirtin, ist unkompliziert und sehr freundlich. Alles in allem eine tolle Lokation.

A gorgeous part of Tuscany

Away from busy tourist spots. The restaurant recommended by our host was in Casole D'elsa Town, within walking distance, and was absolutely excellent.

Here you can feel love and passion because hosting is not just a job, but a vocation. Monti 1824 is a farmhouse that dates back 1600 and it has been completely renovated in the last 25 years. It took a lot of effort and sacrifice but now we are here and we want to share it with you.The property consists of the main house where there are 3 spacious and well furnished apartments, always retaining the typical Tuscan style of the old buildings.Not far from the main house there are 3 cottages , even those obtained from the renovation of the original buildings of the 1600s and a few meters on there is the swimming pool with the panoramic view over the hills.We are always available for the guests throughout their stay and if you like it will not not lack tips to visit the big cities and the small towns of our region ... without forget some gastronomic visit, because you know.. in Tuscany , good food is not a problem!
