Loved the apartment, great location close the centre of town. Loads of space, very comfortable and well equipped. Parking is however a bit of a challenge, requiring the cooperation of the neighbours if you want to park outside the apartment

So glad that you enjoyed your stay in Chalet Bovec. We are aware of the parking issue brought about by the council having just changed the parking regulations by the house and also changing the previously free main car park to pay & display. We are trying to negotiate an alternative at present.
A recommander.

Very nice and cosy house in a beautiful setting.
Everything was perfect except for the beds: terrible mattresses!

Glad you had a good time - I'll look into the mattress issue when I'm there in a couple of weeks time and replace any that need it.

Alles in allem perfekt.

Great location in Bovec, very well decorated and well equipped kitchen. The double showers are very good for bigger groups. Unfortunately some beds are old and not that comfortable.

Perfect Spot for a Family Vacation
The house was comfortable for our family of 4 and had all the amenities of home. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook most meals. We loved the town of Bovec and enjoyed exploring the area. The location was perfect for walking to all the restaurants and stores. We really enjoyed the Escape Room downtown! The house was very close to the start point of lots of hiking. We would definitely stay here again!

Spacious apartment with good modern facilities
We stayed here for a week in September 2017, exploring the region and its WW1 history as well as enjoying the hiking around the Soca Valley. The apartment has great facilities (including good wi-fi) and is just as shown in the photos. Very convenient for the well stocked local supermarket and bakery. Neighbours very friendly and helped us tackle the recycling challenges. When we had a problem (eg gas bottle ran out), a man came round within about 5 minutes of me sending a text, so dinner was still on time!

Awesome house, fun adventure town
The house was very upscale, large, and was equipped with everything you might need. Unfortunately some small things were not maintained such as burnt out lights and remotes that did not work...but the positives of the house easily made up for that. Nice collection of books. Bovec was very walk-able (10 minutes from the house to the other end) which was great and allowed you to easily pick up groceries, bread, and enjoy the other shops whenever the urge hit. We enjoyed the rafting, canyoning, hiking, and zip-lining and still had lots of potential adventure activities for which we did not have time.

Beautiful chalet, great location
Chalet Bovec is a beautiful chalet set deep in the Soca Valley in Slovenia. The surrounding area is absolutely stunning, and home to many great activities like hiking, canyoning, zip-lining and skiing - we particularly loved the white-water rafting on the bright blue river that flows through the valley. The chalet itself is spacious and homely, with everything you could possibly need, including lots of books, games and guides to the area, and the locals are friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic time, and I can't recommend it more - we'll be back for the ski season!

Adrenaline and adventure!
We had a fantastic time in Bovec and having this beautiful, cosy house as our base made it all the more perfect! We had an action packed week, making the most of the summer activities by doing rafting, canyoning and ziplining! We also drove to Most Na Soci one day to get the car train to lake Bohinj and lake Bled which was a great day out. The town of Bovec really is a hidden gem and we will certainly be coming back in the winter season one year to check out the skiing. The house was brilliant, with everything we needed. The bath is especially nice for a long soak after getting freezing in the Soca! It is also a great location for nipping to the bakery (which seems to be open ALL the time) or the supermarket to stock up.
Many thanks for letting us stay, we'll be back!

Nice flat, in a good location
The flat is perfect for a group or family with plenty of living and sleeping space and was very clean. The check in was very easy and we really enjoyed the flat. The location was perfect for walking into the main town of Bovec and to reach any of the outfitters. Steve was very responsive.

About the host
Hosted by Steve Woods
I am a professional man from the West country. I discovered Slovenia whilst on a motor bike trip in 2005. I was particularly enchanted with the Soca valley and especially the delightful little town of Bovec. After one or two holidays there I ended up buying a property. With the help of local tradesmen and contacts the house was extensively renovated over the next year and I have subsequently rented it to many guests from a variety of countries, for both Summer and Winter holidays, including members of the film crew working on the recent "Narnia" film, some of the scenes of which were filmed nearby. Judging from comments in the visitors book, pretty well everyone shares my enthusiasm for this beautiful area and have found the house to be a welcoming and pleasant place to stay.
Why they chose this property
Renovated in 2005 to a high standard and very well equipped. Beautiful mountain views from main living room. Quiet location but just a 2/300 metres from shops, restaurants and bars.
