Coral Haven is a condominium complex consisting of 8 apartments with two plunge pools on its spacious roof terrace.

This first floor air-conditioned 2-bedrooms apartment gives spectacular sea views from its balcony, bedroom and its cooling roof terrace. The apartment is comfortably furnished and equipped with the home from home comforts you will need making it an ideal base for your self-catering holiday. The layout consists of an open plan kitchen and living area; separate utility room with washing facilities.

The apartment is 8 mins away by car from the lively and ever popular Oistins 'fish-fry' weekly festival. St Lawrence Gap, (The Gap) the popular nightlife hot spot with its many exotic bars and restaurants is but a short drive away. Freights Bay, Surfer's Point the popular surfing area and the glorious Miami Beach (also known as Enterprise Beach) are nearby.
However, you may prefer to just relax, sunbathe or laze in the pools on the secluded roof terrace and enjoy the stunning sea views and cooling breezes. Sun loungers are provided.

ACTIVITIES: Use your 'Barbados in a Nutshell' and Map; and the 'Ins & Outs of Barbados' to plan your day. (Copies provided). These guides are packed with information on things to do whilst on the island including places of interest for sightseeing, beaches, duty free shopping and restaurants.

SURFING: Coral Haven is ideally placed as a holiday base for those interested in surfing. It is near to Silver Sands and Surfer's Point - a haven for windsurfing, wave jumping and kitesurfing.

RESTAURANTS: There are several Zagat rated restaurants on the island as well as many popular local eateries. Again, your 'Barbados in a Nutshell' gives a comprehensive restaurant guide of the culinary diversity of the island. There is something for every taste - from the sophisticated establishments to the smaller 'no frills' roadside eateries!
Why not try Chicken Rita's nearby, the popular Bajan style rum shop / chicken/fish n chips shop nearby, for that quick meal before you set out for the evening.

Very nice apartment with everything you need provided for a comfortable stay. The apartment had everything that was promised. I felt safe in the area. You must be able to walk or rent a car to get around. Uber and taxis are available and easy to request. The beach is a short walk away. The only restaurant nearby is Chicken Rita's but Oisten's is a close drive and food delivery is available. Marcia was very helpful and available if needed.

Beautiful location so near to Miami Beach and not too far away from Oistins, you definitely need a car to see the beautiful island 🇧🇧, would definitely benefit from air conditioning.

Recent Stay at Coral Haven Apartments

The apartment was great with all the facilities you need for a self catering holiday. The apartment was clean and well maintained and Marcia was very good in arranging the taxi from the airport and to the airport when leaving. We stayed in Maxwell the last time we were in Barbados and just found it a litte out of the way at first but like everything you get used to it. We loved the plunge pools on the top and found them very relaxing after a day out. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives and will use it again when I return to Barbados. One thing I would say is that the walk to Miami Beach is not 15 minutes, its more like 45 minutes.

Nice place, great neighborhood

Coral Haven is a very nice place to spend a month. This unit is a bright and breezy 2 bedroom apt. We barely used the overhead fans and did not miss air conditioning. The kitchen is just fine for a self catering holiday, with most of the necessary tools and appliances. Breakfast on the balcony every morning was outstanding. The ability to wash clothes at the apt really helps. We rented a car, but the bus stop is about a 4 minute walk and will take you almost anywhere you need to go. Do say hello to the people walking by and hopefully you will meet "Tony the fruit man", and let him talk you into some fresh mangos! All in all, Coral haven was a very good base for a very nice holiday.

Need a car

Lovely location but no to few nearby facilities such as shops or restaurant's etc. If you stay at this wonderful apartment you definitely need either to be very fit or more definitely rent a car. Nearest public transport 5/600 yards away and if you are cold like myself and friend , in 70 age group, and unable to walk half a mile to bus stop then you really are out in the sticks. Having said that the two bed flat was good; the host and owner is excellent; and finally the weather is brilliant. Would definitely stay again but would have to price i car hire for two weeks !! Probably my mistake BUT could have mentioned this on rental information as possibly not suitable for two old cripples like me and my friend who stayed; old with mobility issues. Overall though: good owner, well kept apartments, clean tidy and all necessities within the apartment. Can't fault any of that. Harry Edwin 73 year old Definitely go again if had transport

Very nice apartment! Quiet neighborhood.

The apartment was very nice. It is located not far from the busy Oistins market, and different stores and restaurants. In addition, there are several beaches around, you choose whether you like waives or calm water. At first, we used public transportation to get to different places (there were vans or buses available), but if we were to get somewhere else other than the main strip, we would have had to figure out other routes, which was hard to do. Vans or buses are assigned to specific routes and can't deviate from their routes unlike taxes. This was inconvenient especially at night when we would have had to walk from the bus stop to the apartment in the dark. Since we wanted to explore the island, and be more flexible, we rented a car. That made our stay more flexible and we spent less time on getting to places instead of exploring more places. As for the apartment, it was very clean and had everything we needed. Marcia met us upon arrival and was very helpful. We enjoyed Barbados and will come back!

we had a great time in this apartment : it was clean, well-kept and secure . it is outside of oistins in a quiet neighbourhood mostly inhabited by the locals. so there is a certain charm to it with the roosters and the chicken, the neighbour taking out the barbados sheep in the morning and with chicken rita's hut a little further down in the street - great chicken , by the way, we ate there twice. on the other side of the small street there is a beautiful modern house with a well-kept garden , and beyond that meadows and the sea. there is a small balcony overlooking all that; we sat in the door of the apartment and enjoyed our breakfast and the morning sun. in the evening we went up on the roof and plunged into the pool- which we mistook - when booking - for a pool big enough for swimming, but that is not possible: it is more like a jacuzzi without the hot water and the bubbles. everything else about the apartment is already said in the other reviews- and, yes, marcia is a wonderful help and pat is a person one would like to meet personally. ingrid and volker from germany .

Coral Have – A Haven to stay I arrived at the apartment only a 15 minutes ride from the airport, where I was picked up and greeted by the Owner. On arrival the property was just as it was described on the website, fantastic location, excellent décor throughout and good links to the local, beach and transport. The property has two very large comfortable bedroom, good size kitchen/diner and balcony. On the first day of arrival I was able to sit at the kitchen table and whilst having breakfast, watching the sunrise on the horizon – and what an awesome sight that was. In the evening, having sat on the balcony for a long period of time enjoying the cool breeze that seems to permeate throughout the property, I decided to explore the swimming pool on top of the property, with glass of wine in hand – and what a sight that was, under the stars in the pool, glass in hand and being able to see the skylight of Barbados. I was told that there was very secluded beach close to the property, which I decided to explore at 5am – it took just 10 minutes to walk down and enjoy the morning stroll. The sea was a little rough so did not get in but enjoyed playing on the beach Saturday evening, I went down to Oisten to sample the fried Bajan fish and enjoy the Karaoke evening – again this is just a short bus/taxi ride away from the apartment. During my stay at Coral Haven, I was able to explore the whole of Barbardos, using both buses and taxis and I found the location caused me no problems in terms of getting around – and if I felt like staying close to the apartment to eat, I found Chicken Rita was just a ‘stone’throw’ away, a place frequented by both the local and other visitors to the island on a regular basis. I would highly recommend a stay at Coral Haven, even if it is just for the location, friendliness of the owner, public transport and last but not least the property itself.

A mixture of everything.

This property, booked at short notice to attend a funeral, was presented as described. So pleased the apartment was on the first floor of a small block. The sea view is fantastic and the waves can be heard in this relatively quiet location. A bit of competition with the cocks crowing and the sheep baaring in the morning. It all added to the caribbean culture of the location. My husband and I are not new to the island therefore we can compare with other locations and this one is up there. A car is highly recommended particularly as we did not see one bus on the nearby road that had bus stops. Chicken Rita virtually opposite adds to the community spirit. The diverse customers from across the island means socialising can be effortless on some evenings. Exactly what we needed on this unplanned trip. Sitting on the balcony with that lovely sea breeze that blows through the apartment was sufficient for us to relax. We were greeted and shown around the apartment on arrival. The complimentary refreshments were well received after a long haul flight adding to the hot meal available from Chicken Rita who also prepares fish. We found this apartment to be good value for money. 2 bedrooms for the price of some 1 bedrooms that were advertised. We had plenty of space to spread out our belongings and to get dressed which is what you need in the heat. There are a couple of things Pat could add to the apartment which I will send to her seperately. They do not impact on the 5 star rating awarded. The views from the plunge pool area on the roof is amazing. If we had time the lounge beds that were provided would have been used. Thank you very much. We were on the island for a sad occassion cushioned by this 'just what we needed' apartment.

Communication for check in/out was easy. It’s a nice rural location and not too far from Miami Beach/Oistens. I would say that you definitely need a car. The apartment was clean and had all you needed. A bit noisy with the roosters and dogs barking at all times, so unless your a heavy sleeper, I would say pack earplugs. However, you are living with the locals, there is a plunge pool on the roof which we enjoyed and saw plenty of monkeys running about which was amazing! Nice balcony overlooking the sea in the distance. Nice big bedrooms with plenty of storage and plenty of coat hangers. Have previously stayed at Worthing and the Gap but equally enjoyed this location, albeit with a car. Nice to know that Marcia was on hand if needed. Would recommend.

Lovely apartment

The apartment was spacious, clean and tidy with the added bonus of a dip pool on the roof terrace. It was a bit out of the way so would recommend a car as there are limited local facilities although chicken Rita’s was just across the road where you can grab a beer and a chicken meal for variety you will need to venture further afield. Miami/ Enterprise Beach was our go to beach for R&R and was a good 35 min walk away but worth the walk when you get there. As we were there for the cricket Eng v W. indies it was the perfect/quiet place to rest our heads after a day in the Kensington Oval as it is quite some way from the hustle and bustle of Bridgetown.

The place is nice although a bit isolated. There was no public transport and you have to hire a car. Another option was walking, 20 min to the surfing beach and 45 to the beach in Oystin

Comfortable, well-appointed and spacious

Located in a largely residential area, our immediate impression was that we might be a bit isolated. However, the regular mini-buses that run into Oistins and beyond appear every 10 minutes or so, are great fun to ride and the bus stop is only 5 mins walk. Dined across the road from the apartment at Chicken Rita's once but preferred Surfer's Bay beach restaurant, about 10 mins walk across an open pasture. Like much of the Caribbean, our nearest beaches were unfortunately inundated with Sargassum seaweed whilst we were there, so we didn't see them at their best - efforts are being made to clear the seaweed. Got the minibus along to Rockley instead, where it was pristine. The apartment itself is a very good size, with two well-furnished bedrooms and comfortable double beds. The view out to sea from the front bedroom is particularly memorable. The kitchen area had everything we needed and the laundry room is also useful. When the weather did get a bit hot for us, the roof terrace always provided a pleasant breeze and the plunge pool was refreshing and clean. Marcia was very helpful - but not intrusive - and very friendly. She was able to guide our taxi driver to the apartment, gave us a comprehensive introduction tp our accommodation, and arranged our taxi when it was time to leave. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable stay and I wholeheartedly recommend this apartment.

We were met at the airport by a very nice taxi driver named Joseph who took us to the apartment, Marcia was there wating for us she was very nice and took her time to explain everything to us. in the apartment There is everything you would need eg: kettle microwave haire dryer, washing maching. The view from the balcony is to die for. When you first arrive and your hungry you have Chicken Rita opposite (yummy) she also has fish. There are frequent buses into Oisten and to all the beaches. Oisten on a Friday and Saturday night is a must if you like fish, they also cater for veggies.the two weeks went realy quick but I will defiantly return. To the person that gave a one star must be a very bitter individual you mentioned cockroches this is the West Indies get over it.

Beautiful Homely Apartment!

My friend and I stayed at Coral Haven before 2 years ago. It was lovely returning back there. We love the surroundings of Coral Haven and it is about an 8 min drive by car to Miami beach. Marcia is on hand should you need anything and prior to our arrival she was very responsive to organizing a hired car for us. The apartment is a great size and the bedrooms are just perfect size. I was surprised at the time of year by the amount of breeze we had in the morning and evening. We enjoy sitting on the balcony in the morning and enjoying the morning breeze. We are just opposite Chicken Rita very popular lady and friendly also. The reason I did not give this apartment the full 5 star is because it misses AC. We did a lot of cooking in the apartment so we found it extremely hot in the evening. I personally found it a lot cooler in the bedrooms than on our previous visit in November, there is a beautiful night time breeze. Marcia leaves some refreshments in the fridge for arrival which is great and also some seasonings in the cupboard. The apartment is very well maintained and so clean I cannot fault Marcia on how well she looks after this apartment. We just love Coral Haven the locals are what makes it extra special they remembered us from our last visit and not one person walks past that apartment without saying Good Morning/Night. I have to stress that this apartment also comes with a rooftop pool perfect after a hectic day at the beach, cool down on the rooftop with another cocktail to finish of the day. If you like the combination of the breeze and the hot sun then the rooftop is a perfect place to spend the day if you feel like staying in. I have to finish on one more note....Pat by far as been the most caring and adaptable person to our needs since finding her apartment on this site, I love speaking to her and I just love Coral Haven. I would love to buy an apartment just like this one!! Huge thank you to Pat & Marcia sending you both big hugs!!!xxxxx

A great experience

My wife and I stayed at Coral Haven, Barbados from March 21 to April 20th, 2017 to escape part of our winter here in New Brunswick. We had to change plans we had originally made for that time, so we contacted Pat through Home Away in late February. We got a very quick reply to our inquiries and so we after consideration we made the booking. This was our first time to visit Barbados. Upon arrival we found the apartment at Coral Haven exactly as it had been advertised. We had made arrangements with Pat to be picked up at the airport by local taxi driver (Joseph) and we were met at the apartment by Marcia. Marcia showed us through the apartment and a general idea of the locale and answered any questions we had. The apartment was very clean. It was equipped with all the conveniences which enabled us a comfortable stay. If we found we required anything Marcia was just a phone call away. We really enjoyed the area. The first full day we were there we tried walking to Oistins as several people had mentioned in their reviews. We found it too hot for us and were a bit discouraged. The next day we figured out the bus service and after that had no trouble getting around. We did go to the little beach down over the hill a number of times but mostly enjoyed one of the many beaches which are just a short bus ride away. We often took the lawn chairs up to the roof and read. We also enjoyed cooling down in the small pools (about the size of a Hot Tub). The area was very quiet. For most of the time we were there only two other apartments in the building were occupied. We enjoyed watching the hens and roosters which roamed the streets as well as the number of goats which were put out every morning and taken back in the evening. It was a real treat to sit on the deck and get a glimpse of the monkeys which would show up every now and again. Then of course there is Chicken Rita’s which is across the street which became an instant habit – excellent Chicken and Fries. You may have to wait – but it is well worth it. Our son joined us for most of a week and while he was there we arranged through Marcia to have Joseph take us on a tour of the Island. We stopped at the Wild Life Park which I would not recommend, then went on to Bathsheba which was beautiful. Coral Haven was a great place to stay and really made our first trip to Barbados a great experience. Ron and Margie Heans

Great location, spacious, clean, secure and good value.

We found Coral Haven to have a great view of the Caribbean Sea, with a nice secluded surfers beach within a five minute walk and Surfers Bay beach bar a few minutes further. Chicken Rita's was right across the street, definitely get the chicken as it had great flavor and cooked perfectly. Enterprise (Miami) beach was a few minutes drive away and was one of our favorite beaches. Oistens was a few minutes further and had good local food at the fish market. Friday night is a must for the market as all of the restaurants were open, music was scattered around the different venues and there were tons of people. The apartment itself was spacious and had most things in the kitchen that were needed to be able to cook meals. The living room was comfortable and with the windows open and fans on there was always air going through the rooms. We were on the second floor and enjoyed the balcony. The wifi worked great and there was a small folding table available to set up as a desk. The bathroom shower was very large with plenty of hot water with great pressure. One thing the bathroom lacked was any shelf space to put things on so we had to keep the toiletries in the bedrooms. The beds in both of the rooms were both full-size, so there was not a lot of room for two people. A queen size bed in one of the rooms would have been great. The toaster in the kitchen would not stay down to toast, but the oven broiler worked just fine. We would recommend this location and would stay here again on future visits.

The appearance of the property looked very nice, very close to the locals

On our arrival,Marcia met us at the apartment Marcia was very friendly and showed us around the apartment.The appartment was clean and tidy the only thing that we did not have was A/C as the bedrooms and livingrooms did get a bit warm but the fans did a fair job.The pool on the roof was not to bad was nice just to sit up there with a nice cold beer.I did like the area that we stayed in as we was across the road from chicken Rita which did some nice food. The bus stop in to Bridgetown was a nice walk up the road we spotted a few chicken's and goats on the way which was brilliant. All in all we had a brilliant time and will return very soon. Coral Haven is close enough to everything on the south coast but situated away from the noise and the hustle n bustle that can impede the relaxed vacation atmosphere.
You can relax and enjoy the sun on the private roof deck that overlooks the sea, as CH is on an elevated ridge, after your stroll to the nearby beach.

What makes this property unique

By day the spacious and cooling roof terrace gives panoramic ocean views of the south coast and at night the lights and stars above are absolutely amazing. When there's a full moon that view is gloriously picturesque.
Relaxing in the pool with a rum punch is the ideal way to 'chill' at the end of the day. Up there you can also enjoy the view of the planes coasting along with arriving holidaymakers before landing in the distance but with none of the noise from their engines!
