Coastal House with Stunning Sea View

A peaceful coastal retreat overlooking the Irish Sea.

This secluded, detached two-bedroom home enjoys a stunning elevated position on a quiet country lane, surrounded by approximately ¾ acre (0.3 hectares) of private gardens. With uninterrupted sea views and a true sense of space and privacy, it is an ideal escape for those looking to slow down and reconnect with nature.

A secluded forest trail lies just a 5-minute walk from the house. There are also many other exceptional sandy beaches within a short drive, including Curracloe Beach, famously used in the filming of Saving Private Ryan.

The house

The property is comfortably and thoughtfully laid out. The main bedroom features a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom, while the second bedroom has a double bed. The living room benefits from a large picture window framing sea views, along with a wood-burning stove, TV, and DVD player — perfect for cosy evenings.

There is a spacious dining room with sea views, as well as a separate kitchen. To the front of the house, a bright conservatory offers comfortable seating and wonderful coastal views. A second, side conservatory is equipped with a gas barbecue, and outdoor dining is possible using the provided table and chairs when the weather allows — a pleasure in what is often referred to as Ireland’s “Sunny South East”.

Outdoors & surroundings

The garden is fully fenced, secure, and not overlooked. Pets are also welcome.

The nearby village of Blackwater is approximately two kilometres away and offers a small supermarket, pubs, and local amenities. The area is well known for fishing, horse riding stables, and Blackwater’s Par 3 golf course. The house is also located very close to the scenic Wexford Walking Trail, offering excellent forest and coastal walks directly from the area.

The vibrant and cultural town of Wexford is within easy driving distance and provides a wide range of restaurants, cafés, cinemas, swimming pools, health shops, and shopping. The town is also home to the renowned Wexford Opera House, which hosts opera, music, theatre, and live performances throughout the year.

Perfect Family Getaway

The house was perfect and all the amenities required for our family getaway to explore Wexford. Elaine was an amazing host, giving a tour of the home and explaining everything from hot water for the shower to where we can buy firewood for the fireplace. Warm scone in the oven?!?! And she checked in regularly, ensuring we didn't need anything. We cannot recommend the home or Elaine enough and thank her for making our week the perfect vacation for us all.

Fantastic view and great hostess

Fantastic view and great hostess. The three of us were on vacation here for 13 nights with our five-year-old daughter. You definitely need a car to get here and good nerves when it comes to left-hand traffic and narrow roads. But you will be rewarded with a great view of the sea. During these 2 weeks we had a variety of weather, from sunny to windy with rain. But even the rain didn't bother us at all, it's just part of it. The house is very large and cozy, but is a bit outdated (as far as the sanitary facilities are concerned). So there is everything you need to spend cozy evenings. Only those who like to take long showers will miss something here (the water pressure is not so strong). But otherwise there is nothing to complain about. The hostess Elaine is super nice and helps with all questions. Warm regards.

Ferienhaus mit Charme

Wunderschönes großes Haus mit gigantischem Meerblick; 3 min zu Fuß zum tollen Strand (an dem man so gut wie allein ist!); älteres Haus, daher viel Charme, voll eingerichtet; verschiedene Sitzmöglichkeiten, je nach Sonnenstand sitzt man lieber in der Küche, im Wintergarten, im Esszimmer, im Wohnzimmer; gute Betten, toller Garten, absolute Ruhe; geschmackvolle Einrichtung, sehr gemütlich; Holz- oder Laminatböden; einziges Manko: alte Bäder, die aber funktionieren; Autostellplatz direkt neben dem Haus; für größere Familie geeignet; super nette Besitzerin, die uns mit selbst gebackenen Scones begrüßt hat, uns alles gezeigt hat (aber nicht nebenan wohnt); nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit/Pub in Blackwater (2,8 km). Wir hatten eine herrliche Woche!!!!

Traumhafte Ruhe mit traumhaftem Ausblick

Wir hatten eine richtig schöne Zeit und trotz des sehr wechselhaften Wetters keine Langeweile. Es gab immer was zu sehen, ob die Wolken über das Meer zogen oder die Sonne auf den Wellen schimmerte. Das Haus, wenn auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen, SEHR gepflegt, ließ nichts zu wünschen übrig und Elaine, die Besitzerin war immer für uns erreichbar und sehr engagiert und freundlich. Das Haus liegt außerhalb des Ortes, der alles bietet was man braucht - Einkaufsmöglichkeit, Pub, take away... In herrlich, ländlicher Ruhe. Außer Kühen, hört man nur das Meer oder auch mal einen Hund. Es gibt schöne Spazierwege, über die Hügel oder am Strand entlang (Achtung Gezeiten ) , mit wunderschönen Ausblicken. Zur Erkundung der Region Wexford ist es ein guter Ausgangspunkt.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft

Die Gastgeberin war sehr nett und hat uns alles sehr gut erklärt. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und würden diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall wieder buchen. Man hat einen wundervollen Ausblick, direkt aufs Meer.

unglaublich schöner Ort

Für uns hat einfach alles perfekt gepasst. Das Haus selbst ist gemütlich schön und lädt zum Träumen ein, wenn man bei jeglichem Wetter durch die großen Fenster die Natur bestaunt. Überall gibt es etwas zu entdecken, den kleinen Kamin, den Blick auf's Meer oder die Kaninchen im Garten. Zugegebenermaßen sind die Sanitäreinrichtungen nicht neu, haben aber ihren eigenen Charme und tun brav ihren Dienst. Die Gegend um das Haus herum ist wahrlich die reinste Natur, für uns war die unglaubliche Stille atemberaubend. Die Besitzerin Elaine ist einfach fantastisch. Die hat uns jeden Wunsch von den Augen abgelesen und war immer verfügbar wenn wir rückfragen (z.B. nach einem zweiten Schlüssel) stellten. Vielen vielen Dank :)

Wunderbar irisch

Unser Aufenthalt in Tusker View war sehr erholsam, der Blick aufs Meer einfach schöne. Der große Garten lud zum Entspannen ein. Abends bei Wein und Holzfeuer im Kamin einfach alles sacken lassen. Der Hund hatte auch viel Spaß. Vielen Dank an Elaine für die Scons zur Begrüßung und das schöne Haus und die unkomplizierte Abwicklung

Wonderful!

Enjoyed every minute of this fabulous holiday. The bungalow was perfect for us, very homely, well equipped and has the most comfortable beds. The setting was amazing, waking up to the seaview every day and walking the beautiful beach only 5 mins away. We will definitely be back!!

My wife and I have had several good experiences over the years of renting cottages in Ireland for our annual summer vacation; none of them has been better than this. The house is extremely pleasant; the location is wonderful; the property owner was friendly and helpful way beyond the call of duty. For peace and relaxation, we have found nothing better and we are very eager to return.

Great time in lovely surroundings

We had a fantastic time in Elaines comfy and marvelously equipped house. She welcomed us in person, gave us a tour and gave us helpful tips to spend our days. Lovely house with large private dog friendly garden and fabulous sea views, fully equipped with all essentials. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Peaceful haven away from it all

Lovely warm welcome from the owner, Elaine. Fabulous front sun room with a wonderful sea view. We spent most of our time chilling out here. Fully enclosed grounds; perfect for the pooch. Well equipped kitchen, with all the things you'll need. A wonderful beach is approximately five minutes walk away, although there is a very steep gravel track to negotiate to get down to the beach, which will only be passable by the young and nimble. My wife, who suffers with her knees and her 82 year old father were unable to get down to the beach. Excellent base for exploring Gorey, Enniscorthy, Wexford and further afield. Overall, a perfect spot to get away from at all.

Spacious, comfortable, with magnificent sea view!

Had a very pleasant week there in June, lovely beaches close by, lots of places of interest to visit and places in which to eat. The sun porch, with its comfortable wicker chairs and a view of the Irish Sea, was a great spot! My only regret was that there was no dishwasher in the kitchen - and I've mentioned that to Elaine, the owner, who was ever so welcoming and pleasant.

Amazing views

Fabulous stay last week in this house. Amazing views from the conservatory window. Very convenient accessible ensuite bedroom. Great base to tour the sunny south east. The only drawback was the beach across the road was very difficult to access. The owner Elaine was very helpful and we had a slight difficulty with the tv and she had someone out to fix it straight away. When we arrived on the Saturday we were met with a lovely smell of home baked scones which Elaine had waiting for us along with some of her homemade jam. All in all a very pleasant holiday experience
