The Loft on the Square is so cute! My wife was in absolute heaven there. She says it is the best place that we have ever stayed, and I am inclined to agree. It was just what we were looking. The owners were quick in responding to any needs we had. The Loft is very convenient to shopping in Springfield and seeing many interesting historic areas. We look forward to staying there again.

Loved this loft and the location. The Loft is super cute with tons of thoughtful amenities. It had everything we needed and so much more. For us, the best part was the outdoor rooftop patio and the brewery right next door. Both allowed us to have a wonderful, relaxing evening socializing with each other and trying out local brews and fabulous food.

Aubrey was very pleasant and kind. The Loft is a wonderful location that we visit at least twice a year. So many fun things to do in the Petersburg area and Springfield is close and easy to navigate. The fact that we go back over and over speaks volumes about how we feel.

A cozy and beautiful place to stay. Host was responsive to our requests. We really liked to character of the loft. There was plenty of room to relax. Petersburg is a quaint little town with good breweries and places to eat.

Visiting history…

The Loft on the Square is a well-crafted tribute to the historical days of Abe Lincoln with modern day amenities. Leaving much of the original structure exposed shows appreciation to the building’s bricks and bones. Local businesses also offer plenty to explore. This will be our go-to for visiting family and friends in the area!

Everything you could possibly need!

Beautiful rehab in a beautiful old building! Modern upgrades, appliances, bathroom, and comfy bed! Cozy gas fireplace adds to the ambiance! Linens, dishes, coffee...all ready to go! Great for couples or small group getaway. Close to Lincoln's New Salem and only 1/2 hr to Springfield, excellent location, cute little town. We will be back!

The property is GREAT!

We had four women stay. Each had there own place to sleep!! Amy had the bathroom stocked with a curling iron, straightener, blow dryer, q-tips, shampoo/conditioner, body wash and on and on!! So....if you forgot anything, it was there! Thanks so much Amy!! Would definitely stay again and recommend!!

The room is very nice. Luckily It was the men of the family that stayed there and not the ladies. First morning there was an almost dead mouse laying on the stairs. The next day there was a dead mouse in front of the refrigerator. Obviously there is poison out and they are trying to control this situation but I will never stay there.
