About this property

Own Private Garden+100 Mtrs To Beach, Bars & Shops

The light and spacious ground floor apartment is all on one level. It has air-conditioning and room fans and every facility that you would possibly need while enjoying your holiday on this beautiful part of the Dalmation Coast.

Bedroom
The bedroom has a super-king, 200 x 180cm sized bed with matching furniture. Two bedside tables, wardrobe and chest of 4 draws. The sofa in the living room also opens to a double bed.

Kitchen
The fully functional modern kitchen has an induction hob and oven, microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer and all the utensils you need whilst enjoying your stay. There is also English tea and coffee is provided.

Living room
The spacious living area has a large oval dining table, a tv unit with 21" flat screen tv, DVD and radio/cd players. The tv daily puts on various language programmes and the radio plays some great pop. There is a book case with a selection of books and some games and tourist brochures in the draws of the tv unit, if you should fancy some time relaxing at home. You will find the WiFi code here too.

Bathroom
The bathroom has a large shower cubicle with sliding doors, wc, a sink with tall lit mirror and shaver point. It also houses the washing machine.

Hall
There is an iron & ironing board, vacuum cleaner and hair dryer in the cupboard in the hall.

Outside
At the front of the building a parking space is allotted in Bay III, though it is not essential to have a car as everything you need is nearby and public transport is very good. If you want to travel further afield to Split or Trogir or get a ferry to one of the many Islands. The 37 bus will take you left to Trogir 12K or right to Split 15K.

Garden
In your private secluded garden I have planted rose trees, hedging & recently planted several different herbs for those keen to cook. On the south side the hedging give a dappled shade from the morning sun. There is a field of fruit trees behind our garden so it is not overlooked. There is a bbq for toasting your freshly caught fish bought from the market just 2 minutes walk away.
On the other side of the apartment is the balcony where you can sit in the evening and sip a glass or two of good local wine or a cool Croatian beer and watch the sun go down. Log into free WiFi & all the cafe bars & restaurants have free WiFi too. Just ask the staff for codes who are very helpful.

Perfect place to explore the Dalmatian Coast

This was a wonderful apartment, brilliantly well equipped and nothing was too much trouble. Great location very close to the beach, restaurants and bars. Very easy to get into Split and Trogir which are lovely places to visit. I would highly recommend a stay here

Great location, amazing apartman

We had a fantastic almost one week in Kastel Stari. We enjoyed our stay very much. This beautiful apartment is situated in a perfect position in the center near everything one might need. The apartment was really brilliant. It is very clean and well equipped. The beach is close and amazing. We had very good communication with our hosts who were very kind and helpful. Superb apartment with lovely small garden close to the beach

The apartment was everything we hoped for and more. It is modern, superbly well equipped and spotlessly clean. Added to that, it has the benefit of a small garden for exclusive use and is only a very short stroll to the beach and we couldn't have been happier. It is obvious Madeleine has invested lots of time making sure it has everything you would need for a great holiday The living room/ kitchen is wonderful with a little balcony. Perhaps it is the little unexpected things that make a difference - the well equipped kitchen gave us the tools to prepare many delicious meals. Fish and squid sourced from the market with local vegetables. The local tomatoes are wonderful and tasty. There is no real need to hire a car as the bus stops are only a 5 minute walk away and take you to Trogir, Split and beyond. There are numerous shops locally stocking everything you would need. THE BEACH IS AMAZING AND THE WATER WAS WARM AND INVITING - WE SWAM EVERY DAY! Although the apartment is a short distance to the seafront, it was really quiet here at night and we enjoyed really good sleep. All in all, this was a wonderful holiday in a great apartment located in a wonderful village. The people are friendly and the area is very safe. We would heartily recommend this apartment. The owner is very kind and helpful - allowing us to remain at the apartment beyond the check out time as we had a late flight. Loved it from start to finish

wir waren mit allem absolut zufrieden. Die Wohnung befindet sich im Erdgeschoss mit Zugang zu einem privaten Innenhof. Die Wohnung ist sehr komfortabel. Alles stimmt voll und ganz mit der Beschreibung überein. Wir wurden bei der Ankunft begrüßt. Zum Strand die Straße runter eine Minute, keine Stufen. Der Strand selbst ist klein, aber es gibt genug Platz für alle. Sehr sauber und ruhig. In der Nähe gibt es alles, eine Apotheke, Geschäfte, Restaurants, einen Markt, zwei Fischgeschäfte. Das Wetter war die ganze Zeit wunderbar, das Meer war sehr warm. Am besten bleiben Sie hier :) Vielen Dank!

Super Ferienwohnung

Wir waren eine Woche dort und waren begeistert. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, man hat eine Terrasse und einen Balkon. Es ist alles vorhanden was man benötigt, deutsches Fernsehen gibt es nicht, aber das hat uns nicht gestört da wir im Urlaub sind und nicht zum Fernsehen gucken. Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin war sehr nett und mit Marija die uns an der Wohnung empfangen hat, war auch alles super. Die Lage ist sehr gut 👍 kurz die Straße hinunter und man ist am Strand. Split ist nur 20 Minuten mit dem Auto weg, optimal zu erreichen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants sind in der Nähe, es gibt sehr gute Restaurants. Wir können es nur empfehlen 👍🏼.

Super Lage - super Ziel

Wir haben uns in das kleine, gemütliche Dorf verliebt. Die Lage von der Unterkunft ist optimal: 90 m zum Strand; 300 m zur Bushaltestelle nach Split und Trogir und alle wichtigsten Geschäfte direkt in der Nähe. Die Unterkunft ist klein und praktisch angelegt für 2 Personen. Es ist sehr sauber und gemütlich. Die Kommunikation mit Maria hat hervorragend geklappt und es lief alles einwandfrei! Unsere Highlights waren die Essgelegenheiten direkt am Meer & die Bootsfahrt mit der Bella. Der Stand dazu ist direkt in der Stadt (Ivan). Das war unser erster Urlaub in Kroatien und wir sind so begeistert, dass wir erneut komme werden! Super Urlaub!!!!

The apartment was brilliant, everything you need and more, so convenient to shops, restaurants, and the beach, The bus service to and fro from Trogir and Split was great,cheap, and regular We found the food was great at all the restaurants we went to, and loved the ice cream. Das Appartement ist in einem Wohnhaus, der kleine Garten und der zusätzliche Balkon sind aber absolut ausreichend. Die Vermieterin haben wir leider nicht getroffen, der Ablauf (Parken, Schlüssel usw.) hat aber perfekt funktioniert. Man ist auch wirklich in wenigen Minuten am Strand,(schmaler aber schön angelegter Kiesstrand) und hat dort auch einige Lokale. Wir sind mit dem Bus nach Split, und mit dem Taxiboot nach Trogir-beides sehr schön.

Very accessible to the beach and bars. Pretty location with clean beach and sea.. Although a car is not essential we did hire a car and had some amazing trips out to national parks. Would suggest a car and mountain roads are very good and quiet. Lovely restful holiday. Split airport chaotic, and drinks and food extortionate and poor. This apartment, fit for a couple or small family, have everything you need, and everething did funcion. Especially good wifi - conection, also in the bedroom. The location is perfect. Unlike most apartment for hire, this one is complete. Even if you forgot your umbrella or sunhat, you will find something indoors. Food supply is within 3 min. of walk, and the best restaurant for grilled beef or white fish, Intrada, is within walking distance (10-15 min.) The beach is within 100m. Marija was welcoming on the doorstep, and the owner, mrs Jenkins, was very nice.

Beautiful apartment

We stayed for a week in this lovely 1 bedded apartment which was very clean and comfortable. The apartment was very well appointed with a balcony and a lovely surprise of a garden at the rear. The owner Madeline cannot do enough to make your stay enjoyable. We have stayed in the area many times and we will definitely return to this apartment on our next visit. It is very convenient being 10 minutes frim the airport where on arrival you can take bus 37 in fact the bus runs 3 times an hour between Split and Trogir both of which are superb cities to visit day and night. Here you can pick up boat trips to many of the islands.

Vacanza incantevole in un luogo perfetto per moltissime escursioni. Non conoscevamo la Croazia e siamo rimasti colpiti dalla bellezza della Dalmazia, con il suo mare stupendo e paesini accoglienti. La proprietaria è stata molto gentile, nell'appartamento c'è tutto il necessario per una vacanza senza pensieri. I nostri figli sono stati entusiasti. Lo consiglio vivamente a tutti.

Nice apartment and wonderful holiday in croatia.

We stayed from the 8th till the 16th of April in Kastel Stari and we had a fantastic time. The weather was perfect for walking, sight seeing etc. The water and evening were a bit cold (but still warmer than in Germany) but the days were sunny :) The apartment is located perfect between Split and Trogir which are easily to reach by bus. But Kastel Stari and the apartment offers everything you need so we loved staying just there. We enjoyed our breakfast on the lovely terrace and dinner in the nice restaurants which you find at the promenade. Croatia is not only wonderful in sommer but also in spring :) We enjoyed the towns, landscape, the coast and national parks. Croatia is a really wonderful country. We definitly will come back again. Summer in Kastel Stari.

This was our first visit to Croatia and found Kastel Stari and it's surrounding area a lovely place to stay. The apartment is really home from home and has every thing anyone would need to make a very comfortable stay. Kastel Stari itself and the surrounding Kastelas are great to explore and not overly commercialised. The apartment is ideally placed for the beach, shops, bars/ restaurants and the bus service which is frequent and cheap to either Split or Trogir.

My name is Madeleine Jenkins. The photo is me on the right and Austrian friends that I met in Kastela, sitting on my balcony on a warm summers evening. We still meet up.
I was born in London and now live not far in Essex. I have a gorgeous daughter and 2 lovely grandsons, one of whom is at university the other will start secondary soon. Some years ago my partner and I set off in a VW van round Europe. We went through 11 countries in the 3 weeks. We travelled down the Dalmatian coast and woke one morning in Kastela Bay. What a wonderful sight to behold. The morning sun shining on the calm turquoise glass like sea. The old white stone buildings of Kastel Stari hail-owed by the back drop of the majestic Kozjak mountain. The local people too were friendly and helpful. So here I remain.

Why they chose this property

We bought the property here in Kastel Stari firstly because of the scenery, the history and local people. Then found that flights from Londons and other airports to Split were very reasonable and take just 2 hours 10 minutes. Being just 15 minutes from Split airport makes the journey very pleasant. Though a fishing village there is everything close to hand. The supermarkets, the shops, the bars, the restaurants, the beach and even the bus stop. A car is not essential.
We moved in before it was completed and were the first residents in the modern 3 story apartment block. The builder lives in the village. Brand new underground drains were laid, pavements built and roads resurfaced a few years ago which has made life even more pleasant.

What makes this property unique

The apartment is very bright, airy and spacious with patio doors to the balcony and to the garden as well as windows on 2 sides of the corner plot. If shade is needed in the hotter days of summer then the shutters can be pulled down to give a cooler feel as well. Though the doors & windows need to be closed if the air conditioner is on. The garden has grape vines growing up the trellis to provide some dappled shade and jasmine against the fence on the other to give seclusion. But the backdrop view of the mountains sloping down to the sea is still a sight to behold.
