Charming 4 storey house, with roof terrace, within the ramparts of old Antibes.
This charming renovated town house is located on a pedestrianised street, within the medieval walls of old Antibes.
On the ground and first floor, there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. - One bedroom with twin beds and en-suite shower room. - The other with a double bed and a separate bathroom, with bath.
On the third floor, is the kitchen/living area which is open plan with sofa bed, chairs and coffee table. It also has a dining table and chairs. There is a modern fitted kitchen area with large fridge freezer, oven/microwave and hob. Wooden stairs lead to the fourth floor sun-room and pretty terrace. The perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine or meal with views over the roof-tops of old Antibes. There is a table, chairs, parasol and a small barbecue. Our home has been sympathetically decorated using Provençal fabrics and French fruit wood furniture.
Within strolling distance of this picturesque street are local sandy beaches, the Marché Provençal- a daily bustling food market. The fortified Port Vauban- where luxury yachts and traditional fishing boats jostle for position. The house is perfectly located, close to the abundance of interesting shops, cafés and great restaurants.
Our house is 20 mins by taxi from Nice airport (or a convenient express bus ride). Antibes rail station is 12 mins walk and gives access to the coastal rail links, where you can travel to St Tropez, Nice Cannes, Monaco or even across the Itallian boarder for lunch. You can also visit the Medieval hill villages of Grasse - home of international perfume house and museum. St Paul de Vence-a fortified hill top village with the Matisse chapel. Biot - famous for its hand-blown glass. Not suitable for infirm, wheelchairs or children under 7 years due to stairs.
The house that in this historic area of old Antibes there are restrictions on the Aircon boxes on the front of houses and I therefore have Dyson Air Cool purifying system.

I do not understand your comment as my house being ‘cluttered’. This house was not advertised as something out of’Grand Designs’ and the gallery of photos give a true picture of what to expect. It would help me if you could be more specific.
Wonderful little house but we came during a tropical summer so will be looking forward to the planned air condition implementation :-).
The Terra see is just great along with the near perfect location in old town.
Really interesting house in the beautiful old part of Antibes. Really homely and comfortable house, lovely roof terrace and such a quiet part of Antibes
The owner was really helpful and friendly.

I have looked back at the correspondence from Mr and Mrs Hogan and find no mention of unclean floors, or dirty curtains/ linen. The curtains are dry cleaned annually and had just been returned 2 weeks previously to 9 June. I had a letter in the house and bottle of wine to say ‘we had a great time and loved house, location etc’ so I do not understand this comment. Jane

A Charming House
I took my two teenage daughters, we all loved it! It was so beautiful, buzzy atmosphere, a 2 minute walk to everything, gorgeous terrace where we would sit and have coffee or local wine in the evening. Very Clean & tidy too.
You will live in a small House in the Oldtown of Antibes, with all commerce nearby while the house itself is in a quiet street. House has 3 floors with one room in the floor, 2 bathrooms AND in the 4th floor a roof terrace. Kitchen with Refrigerator and Dishwasher, modern stove and Mikrowave/Oven. We like it very well and return next year!
Very nice old apartment with a well-equipped kitchen. The nicer of the bedrooms is the second floor with two single beds. The double bed is on the ground floor and has a bit of a basement vibe.
I had quick and easy communication with Jane.
Pro tip: the cutlery is in the dining table.
A charming, cute, rustic house, rather cluttered and tired, but I found it to be very comfortable with a homely feel. Don't expect modern, clean, minimalist luxury with this house, many won't like it but I loved it.
...in the middle of the Oldtown of Antibes, close to Beach, Yacht-Harbor, many small Shops and Restaurants. Also only few minutes on foot away four Bakeries and 3 Supermarkets. Appartment itself has two bathes, one with a shower, the other with a Tub. Kitchen was all fine to cook in the evening. Staircase is very small and there is no true aircondition, but you can get all luxury at this price - everything else compensate this :)
Many thanks to the owner!!!

This property is situated in the old town in a quiet street with easy access to the sea and the town. It is a dark old property with steep stairs which depending on your view in regard to "shabby chic "could have been described as needing updating for some .The umbrella on the roof appeared broken. The shower was good and the Dyson air conditioning was efficient.
It was very difficult to find from instructions given to us previously, the route for walking from the railway station. What would have been easier would have been a clear map with obvious markers such as shops etc. We asked local people who could not help even with the name of the road, and tried to open the wrong door on one occasion .We eventually found someone who could assist us.
The property as already stated was also very dark which was compounded by 2 sets of lights not working and light switches difficult to find in the dark.
It would have been better that clear instructions should have been given about the location of light switches, one is almost behind the fridge freezer for example, before we arrived plus instructions left for appliances and where things were located such as the cutlery draw etc. We also found the settee uncomfortable ..
A friend of the owner kindly called round the following day and found one set of light switches for us and could not repair the others that day . These were both on the top floor so we said to leave it for our stay.

My property is described on Vrbo website accurately as to the fact that it is a renovated property in an old pedestrianised part of medieval Antibes. The position and road are on the Vrbo website and I gave clear instructions as to how to get from the train station to the house. All the small streets have signs and my house number is clearly marked on a plaque near the door.
The light switches are clearly on the wall on entry and I did send a handyman round to assist. ,paying him for 1 hour.He was not a friend as stated. In the house are numerous maps ,which have come from the tourist office and show very clearly the markets and shops in the area. What my cleaner found when going in immediately after these people left was a strong smell of smoke and a bowl full of cigarette stubs. I have signs to say No Smoking around the house .
Sehr nettes Haus mitten im historischen Zentrum von Antibes.Schöne kleine Terrasse mit Blick über die Dächer , nah zum Strand und den Restaurants.Unkomplizierter check in.Wunderbar.

I would not recommended this place to anyone
We were very excited to start our vacation however as we walked through the door we found the house to be extremely dirty, unorganized and with a pungent mildew smell coming from the blanket and the carpet. There was hair and sand on the floor, the entire plumbing was faulty (once we took a shower upstairs that was water leaking downstairs). The walls were dirty as well.
The biggest offense was actually the heat for the lack of air conditioning there were only fans moving the hot air.
Staying there with two small children was unbearable. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone .

These guests complained and were abusive to me , although I responded and solved their complaints immediately. They brought children under 5 although my website says specifically that the house is not suitable for children under 5. The website clarified the air conditioning system with Dyson Air Cool system. My other guests have posted very favourable comments.
Great location on a gorgeous street, extremely handy for beach, market and shops. Jane was extremely accessible for any queries.

Old Antibes house
Great old house in the pedestrian area of the city and therefore without automobiles. Quaint, comfortable, but could use a little updating. Wonderful, walkable city with great wines and pastries.
