A Trullo With Private 10m Pool Near Ceglie Messapica

Trullo Adagio has been lovingly restored, with the passionate owner insisting on keeping many of the original features, to provide a relaxing holiday retreat. The property benefits from a 10m x 2m private pool (open May-October). A shaded dining area, along with a separate shaded area with a coffee table and comfy chairs. Trullo Adagio is set in its own grounds, about 2 acres with olive and other fruit trees from which guests can help themselves and which offer lots of places to explore. Ideal for a couple or a family the property has 2 bedrooms both with ensuite bathrooms and has lots to do with internet access, a DVD player, a BBQ, MP3 player and a selection of books & dvd's. Close to the medieval town of Ceglie Messapica yet only 25 minutes from the sea the property is superbly situated to explore the local area.

Beautiful spot.

Relaxing and authentic Trullo. Gorgeous setting with a great pool and shaded area's. Lots to see in the area and great places to eat. One suggestion as mentioned in a previous review, a new mattress would benefit the trullo! We would stay again.

A relaxing retreat

A special place and a great location from which to explore puglia. If you’re looking for peace and quiet and a step back from day to day hustle and bustle we would have no hesitation in recommending a week or two here.

Gorgeous Trullo with good size pool

Spent a week here. Perfect layout for parents and 2 older daughters to stay with own bathrooms! Lovely shady sitting areas. Half an hour min drive to beaches. Local towns close by. 1.5 hours drive from Bari airport. Would recommend!

Nice authentic location

We had a nice stay. The location is very quite and far apart from the noise. Due to the local traffic, it takes min. 15 minutes to get to the nearby cities and min. 30 min to the next beaches. The communication with the host was great, all the questions were answered within short time.

Little Gem in Puglia

Restful, calm Trullo, peaceful, surrounded by fruit and olive trees. Perfect for two. Outdoor space is idyllic, plenty of seating locations, shade and furniture (new cushions for loungers would be nice), pool is surrounded by lavender. Kitchen is very well equipped and a large fridge is a plus. Indoor living area is small but probably not needed in the summer months, ceilings in Trullo are low in a few places - tall people be warned! Beds and baths are in the new addition, no height issues. Property managers Martin and Sharron were excellent. 15 mins to the delightful Ceglie Messapica, fantastic food. Take time to enjoy walking the lanes around the house. Beautiful place.

Lovely authentic property but with issues

Fantastic property in lovely surroundings. Our stay would have been rated 5/5 however there were some issues that left us disappointed. Firstly, it is advertised as having a wood fired oven. As a keen cook I was really disappointed to be told on arrival that the oven was not used. It was actually boarded up and could not be accessed. Secondly, the wifi connection was not working for 5 days and despite re-booting only restarted after the power tripped and was reset. Thirdly, and most concerning was an issue with water supply. As described, the supply is from recycled rain water & topped up by tanker when necessary. Our taps ran dry in the afternoon and we were without water until the following morning. Having to flush the toilet with water carried from the swimming pool is not good! Our son had to leave for his flight the following day without being able to wash. Correct these issues and the property is well worth visiting.

Wir verbrachten zwei wunderschöne Wochen in diesem Haus. Vollkommen von fremden Blicken geschützt, was wir sehr schätzen. Um einen herum nur Natur, trotzdem ist man schnell in der nächsten Ortschaft Ceglie Messapica. Alles sehr gut "in Schuss", dafür sorgen Sharron und Martin, die Verwalter, die man immer kontaktieren konnte. Wir können dieses Anwesen ohne Wenn und Aber weiterempfehlen.

Trulli conforme à la description

Trulli typique, la climatisation et les ventilateurs étaient les bienvenus pour pouvoir dormir correctement. L'espace extérieur est bien aménagé pour 4 personnes La piscine était très agréable sous les 37 degrés durant 15 jours ... la voiture est indispensable pour sillonner la région. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour.

Apulien - ein Erlebnis

3 Wochen in einem urigen Trullo zu verleben, ist ein Erlebnis. Man taucht ein in eine andere Welt. Das Haus ist gut eingerichtet. Die kleine Küche hatte alles, was man im Urlaub zum Kochen benötigt. Im Außenbereich kann man zwischen verschiedenen Sitzplätzen wählen, je nach Schatten oder Sonne. Den schönen Pool konnten wir wegen des ungewöhnlich kühlen Wetters im Mai nur bedingt nutzen. Er lud aber sehr ein. Insgesamt ist das Wohnen in diesem Trullo innen und außen sehr romantisch. Das britische Hausverwalter-Paar war sehr hilfsbereit und die Kommunikation z.B. was den wöchentlichen Wäschewechsel anging, klappte sehr gut. An die Benutzung von Trinkwasser aus Flaschen kann man sich schnell gewöhnen. Das Trullo Adagio liegt in den sanften und grünen Hügeln des Valle Itria und ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für die Entdeckung in dem Dreieck Bari - Matera - Lecce. Aber nicht nur diese herausragenden Städte mit jeweils ganz eigenem Charakter sondern auch kleinere Orte wie Polignano a Mare, Monopoli, Ostuni, Cisternino, Locorotondo, Alberobello, Oria, Martina Franca und Ceglie Messapica sind äußerst sehenswert. Eine tolle Erfahrung!

Le trullo se trouve dans la campagne à 10 minutes de ceglie. Merci à Sharon pour son accueil. Nous avons profité du calme, de la piscine mais également sillonné les Pouilles : bari, grottes de castella, ostuni, lecce, matera... Nous recommandons cette location.

Joli trullo

La maison est tres agreable et bien placee pour qui souhaite visiter la vallee d itria et a 1h30 de Matera. C est une maison neanmoins isolée et il faut apprecier cet aspect. Elle est tres fonctionnelle pour 4 et la piscine appreciable par fortes chaleurs. Tres bon sejour. Merci

Martin & Sharon manage the trullo for me. They'll meet you at the property, show you around and answer any questions. They have a great feel for making guests welcome, supported but not intrusive.
