About this property

Our townhouse is equipped to a high standard. The additional single bed in the main bedroom make it an ideal choice for a family or a group of golfing friends. It is situated in Quinta da Boa Nova, high above the coast between the fishing village of Ferragudo and the bustling holiday resort of Carvoiero. The beautiful shared gardens look out to the coast and across to the mountains of Monchique, there is a lovely shared swimming pool and children's pool, free tennis courts, a boules area and poolside bar for food and drinks (seasonal). An ideal place to relax whether your preference is for a summer beach holiday or a golf or walking holiday out of season. We usually walk over the cliffs to our favourite beaches, Caneiros and Pintadinho but both are easily reached in a few minutes by car. For the summer, the choice of terraces offer natural shade and ceiling fans are fitted in the bedrooms. For your winter comfort the apartment has underfloor heating and a log burner in the lounge.

Relaxing in paradise

Casa Bonita was a nice way to finish our Portugal family vacation. The house is beautiful, spacious and bright with room for everyone and the patios are quite nice. As mentioned in previous reviews, the WiFi is not very strong or reliable. We could only connect on the ground floor and frequently lost the signal even then. There was no laundry soap or trash bags in the unit but Jeremy dropped some off for us. The complex is in renovations so the restaurant and bar were closed during our stay which was disappointing since it was a big part of our decision to stay here. As we were only there for 3 nights, we didn’t get the opportunity to visit much of the area but we did spend a day at the beach which was very relaxing. It’s a lovely location though there isn’t much close enough to walk to.

Excellent stay

Tilleys Review

The lack of some basic foods items - such as Oil/ Salt/ Salt and Peeper. The kitchen also missed some essential cooking implements. The biggest problem was Wi-Fi, we could get Wi-Fi by the pool, we had to either try and connect to a neighbouring system or use are mobile data, this was frustrating. The directions to the house could be clearer to understand, the hand drawn notes sketched onto a Google map was very difficult to understand, we arrived late at 23.30 and had to ring Jeremy for direct to the house. That send the house was great, the owners of the complex could t have been move helpful, very friendly/ happy to recommend restaurants/ beaches. Cheers The Tilleys, Chester

Another fabulous holiday

This is our third holiday in the area and 2nd on this resort. The house was the best we have stayed in, so much space, comfortable beds, immaculately clean on arrival. The whole site is beautifully maintained. The pool area is fabulous, never an issue finding a sunbed with shade and the bar offers a wonderful selection through the day. Jeremy and Jane who manage the site are so helpful and friendly.... we were very sad to go home

We live in England where we work for our family business. Owning property in Portugal enables us to relax and unwind away from it all easily at short notice. We spend most of our holidays here, though we do love to explore elsewhere as well. We prefer to come to Boa Nova out of season as the climate then is ideal for the walking and golf that we enjoy. We leave the summer time for our grown up children, granddaughter and nephews and neices.

Why they chose this property

We first came to Boa Nova in 2005 because we had friends living out here, and have been coming back several times a year ever since. We soon came to appreciate all that the area had to offer, its quiet location yet with Carvoiero, Ferragudo and Lagoa and all the facilities they have to offer nearby, and the proximity to the coastal path for walking and the local beaches. It is rare to find so many beautiful beaches in such a small area. The lovely golf courses of Pinta and Gramacho just 5 minutes away also held an appeal for Andy! We liked it so much that we bought a property for ourselves in 2006, and this year have bought a further property for rental and as an investment for the future.

What makes this property unique

The properties at Boa Nova are finished to an exteremely high specification. Much thought has been put to creating light and shade both internally and externally with the choice of terraces and balconies, which greatly enhances the levels of comfort. The addition of underfloor heating and a log burner for the cooler evenings in the winter also had great appeal. The shared pools and bar area are also very well thought out. Most of all, the spectacular views from Boa Nova, towards both the sea and the mountains, and the beautifully landscaped grounds make it somewhere very special to come to.
