This was the perfect place to celebrate an 80th 50th 30th and 18th birthday. Great sociable parts to the property, the pool was loads of fun. I also personally loved the sauna too. All of us said we would come back again.

About the host
Hosted by Sue Voller
As a family we have long associations with Cornwall dating back through many generations. the county has a special magic and charm all of its own, with stunning landscapes and beautiful, old fishing villages. The coastline is varied on both coastlines, with world renowned surfing beaches, rocky inlets and harbours and safe sandy beaches. The weather can be warm and glorious or wet and windy! Plenty of history to be discovered in all sorts of towns and villages, along with delicious cream teas-just remember it is jam first then cream here in Cornwall! And make sure you sample plenty of the local Cornish pasties and saffron buns, the later being unique to Cornwall.
Why they chose this property
Tumbles Lodge has a charm and magic all of its own. it has a large garden at the back that is quiet and safe for children and pets, and where you can sit and watch the sun go down with a glass of locally made beer or wine. our paddock is a fantastic way of introducing children to the countryside, especially if the diary herd next door are in the adjoining field! There is a large terrace with ample seating to chill out and relax, or to dine al fresco at the table. the gas BBQ will encourage any chef to try there hand at a cookout! the interiors of Tumbles Lodge have been chosen to bring warmth and comfort. the open fire place is an obvious place to gather on family occasions, but the downstairs snug, with its wood burning stove, is also a great place for quieter times. The Dining room looks onto the large pool area so no one need miss out on the fun when they are preparing to feed the masses. and in the evening, you can watch the sun go down and feel nice and cosy as you settle down for the evening.
What makes this property unique
We like to think that Tumbles Lodge and its location gives the best of all worlds-countryside, seaside, coast, towns, villages, National Trust properties, heritage walks and more. You will feel both exhilarated and relaxed after a stay here! Many of our guests return year after year-you could also if you book!
