Rare Absolute Beachfront Cottage - Jervis Bay Views

Absolute beachfront 1960s beach house – with all modern comforts! Perfect for laid back beach holidays with magnificent views of Jervis Bay. Wake up to the sounds of the waves, walk just a few steps onto the white sand, dive into the turquoise water and watch dolphins swim by at sunset from the deck.

Dolphincove is a cosy and comfortable 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom beach house with a well-equipped kitchen, BBQ, laundry and reverse-cycle air conditioning. Rinse the sand off with an additional outdoor shower and enjoy Wi-Fi and a smart TV with Netflix.

Please note that there are security cameras monitoring the external entrances to the property.

I live in Sydney with my wife. We have been coming to Callala Beach since 1993. We try and get down at least once a month and so keep a close watch on the property and its maintenance.

Why they chose this property

We stumbled on to Callala Beach after reading a magazine article. It took only the first visit for us to fall in love with the place. However, it took another year before we found Dolphincove - we named it after the dolphins that swim past the cottage most days.

We started coming to Callala Beach when our son was a toddler. Now we are privileged to see our grandchildren play on the same sand.

We love it for its quietness - truly a place to get off the grid. Ten people on this 5km beach is a crowd. Even in stormy weather, it is highly therapeutic to don a jacket and to go for a long stroll. When it is sunny, the water is crystal clear. Avoid getting frightened by your own shadow on the seabed like I did, that first weekend.

What makes this property unique

Enjoy going to sleep and waking up to the sound of waves. The night air is so clear that you get an amazing view of the Milky Way. It's smaller size means that it is highly affordable for couples or small families and still be on the beach. Most other properties in the area are much larger. Although Callala Beach itself is very quiet, you are within easy driving distance to many amenities in the area. For overseas rentals, we are looking at stocking the fridge with enough food to get you settled in. Please ask for information when booking. All rentals receive a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival.
