Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Double-check that the oven, stove, fireplace, space heaters, or any other fire-related appliances are completely off and cool. Shut off all running water or faucets.
Do a general clean-up—throw away trash, wash or load any used dishes, and put things back where they were. Remove all groceries or leftovers, including perishables and non-perishables foods.
Close and lock all windows and doors, including side and back entrances. Turn off all lights. Put provided house keys, mailbox key, and parking placards on the kitchen counter.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
