About this property

Perfect for couples, families, walkers, cyclists just minutes to beach and Salò

The apartment is situated on the south-west coast of Lake Garda on a private olive oil and wine farm, perfect for those wishing to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature. It is also perfect for families who enjoy animals and children can request to feed the animals with me.
Walkers will find it a perfect location as there are walking paths direct from the apartments. Cyclists will enjoy this location too as there are many cycling tours available.

The apartment is tastefully decorated catering for up to 5 guests, however, there is another apartment above it that can be booked at the same time for two families who wish to travel together but have the convenience of separate accommodation. There are balconies on both sides of the house maximising on the beautiful views. The house is very light and spacious. On one side of the house you are surrounded by the beautiful chestnut forest which provides shade and fresh breezes in the evening. In fact, this is the reason there is no air conditioning as it really isn't needed!
The kitchen, dining room and separate living area provide all modern comforts. The bedrooms are very comfortable offering one double bed (main bedroom) and one double bed and one single bed.
Your stay will have a low carbon impact, as all the power will be produced by our photovoltaic panels.
There is a shared area outside where guests can sit and enjoy a barbecue and relax in the beautiful area that we live in. Children will find this area a paradise with plenty of area to explore in the forest and play.

Salò is just a 5 to 10 minute drive away. A historic town, great for walking, shopping and dining and boasts the longest promenade on the lake is perfect for taking in the beautiful views and culture of an Italian lake town. On Saturday morning the market comes to town and is the biggest on the lake, where it is possible to buy local produce from cheese, salamis, clothes and many artisan products. During the summer months you can enjoy alfresco dining and listen to live music.

Lake Garda offers many areas to access the beaches and swimming. The closest beaches are just 5-10 minute drive away in Salò, Portese and San Felice.

The location is very central allowing ease for day trips from Milan to Venice, Mantova, Verona and Brescia. Lake tours are also available.

Perfect family spot

We really loved our apartment in Roe. Meg was super accommodating and gave us loads of recommendations to eat and areas to explore. Was very friendly and kind. The apartment is very well located- withloads of trail walks for running or mountain biking and is close to the neighbouring towns and beaches. We would highly recommend it!!

All roads through most towns and villagers in Italy are tight, however, these roads do normally allow passage to wider vehicles like ambulances. The road up to our apartment certainly is wide enough for larger vehicles as we regularly have to drive through the village with the lorry. I do agree it is tight but certainly doable and clients have always said after a couple of runs they have quickly got used to the road. I drive a renualt scenic people carrier every day.

Perfect Italian hideaway

This Italian Gem is tucked away, amongst the Olive Groves and Italian Countryside close to the village. The hosts Megan and Max , and their 2 children Mara and Megan and not forgetting the cute dog Poppy, were lovely, very helpful, full of knowledge, nothing was too much trouble. The Apartment, is spacious, beautifully decorated, and has 3 lovely balconies to sit on and enjoy your Italian Coffee. It has everything you need, and was very cool at night during the hot summer nights. Very close by is the village, with narrow roads, and plenty of character, there is a local big Supermarket, Takeaway Pizza close by. This is an excellent base to explore the Lake, all of the places we visited , Salo, Verona, Sirmione, Limone, and not forgetting Venice were fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed the holiday, the Apartment and our hosts Megan and Max were lovely.

A perfect location!

This apartment is situated in the most perfect location to relax and unwind, which is exactly what we were looking for! Nestled above Lake Garda on Max and Megan’s olive farm in an area of outstanding natural beauty, we were surrounded by local wildlife and of course the Gaoso goats who kept us entertained. The description of the accommodation was completely accurate being up in the mountain it was peaceful and tranquil however a 5 minute car ride and you are in the delightful town of Salo with its many bars, restaurants and shops. The apartment is tastefully furnished and is maintained and cleaned to a high standard and is supplied with all the equipment you need for a self-catering holiday. Megan, Max and their girls were the perfect hosts and take their role of holiday reps very seriously, recommending great places to eat and helping to plan expeditions to explore the hidden gems of Italy. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and family and will certainly be returning again.

Sehr schöne geräumige Ferienwohnung und äußerst nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, die ein exzellentes Olivenöl herstellen. Wer eine ruhige Lage sucht, entfernt vom Trubel der Tourismuszentren, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Der Gardasee ist dennoch in 15 Minuten Fahrtzeit zu erreichen. Schöne Wohnung und super Gastgeber

Die Wohnung ist ca. 5-10m von Saló mit dem Auto entfernt. Dafür aber am Ende des netten Dorfs(?) Roé Volcanico. Mit Olivenhainen und Weinanbau. Auch viele Tiere sind zu bestaunen. Von der Wohnung geht auch direkt ein Wanderweg in die Berge los. Ohne Auto ist es aber schwierig. Und man muss sich an die engen Gassen gewöhnen. Die Wohnung selbst ist groß, sauber und es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Ein Manko ist das Internet. WiFi ist sehr langsam. Wir konnten aber mit 4G Datenroaming ganz gut leben. Die Gastgeber sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Kinder können auch mit dem kleinen Hund spielen und die Ziegen füttern. Alles in Allem war es ein toller Urlaub am Gardasee!

Séjour inoubliable

Nous avons passé trois semaines inoubliables dans la propriété de Megan et Max, et c'était sans exagération notre meilleur expérience de location d'été. L'environnement est splendide, la nature est luxuriante, et la maison s'intègre parfaitement là-dedans. On est sur les hauteurs avec une vue magnifique sur la vallée d'un côté et sur une colline verdoyante de l'autre. Les fenêtres sont grandes, les plafonds sont hauts, il y a du volume, de l'air, de la lumière ! On s'endort bercés par les chants des grillons, et on se réveille avec les rayons du soleil et le chant des oiseaux. La literie est très confortable, le linge de lit et de bain est de qualité. L'appartement est très propre, joli et fonctionnel. J'ai tout particulièrement apprécié la propreté des housses du canapé et du fauteuil (c'est tellement rare pour une location). Bref, tout est simple, mais soigné et rempli de petites attentions et touches personnelles. On partage la maison avec les propriétaires qui habitent au rez-de-chaussée (et c'est un vrai bonus !) car Megan et Max sont des hôtes incroyables, gentils, chaleureux, généreux, disponibles et sont toujours là pour donner un bon conseil, un coup de main, et même quelques légumes tout frais de leur jardin ! Que dire de ce coin du lac de Garde, de Salo et des environs ? C'est juste très beau : un décor de carte postale ! Il y a beaucoup d'activités pour toute la famille, plusieurs petits restaurants chics et/ou charmants à Salo et les environs, des boutiques, quelques plages, musique live le soir quelques jours par semaine. Depuis Salo il est relativement facile de se rendre aux grandes villes touristiques comme Vérone et Venise. Chère Megan, cher Max, nous avons adoré notre séjour chez vous. Merci pour tout !

Super Familienurlaub mit Kleinkindern

Wir (Familie mit 2 Kleinkindern) wurden sehr freundlich begrüsst. Die Übergabe zu Beginn und am Ende waren sehr unkompliziert und speditiv. Die Wohnung bietet viel Platz und auch im Aussenbereich kann gespielt werden. Tagsüber können die verschiedenen Tiere gesucht und bestaunt werden. Wir durften auf Anfrage eine informative und spannende Führung im Weingut und -keller geniessen. In der Küche sind die notwendigsten Sachen vorhanden (z.B. Tabs für Geschirrspühlmaschiene oder feines Olivenöl etc). Es gibt einen separaten Essraum. Auf Anfrage stand ein Babybett zur Verfügung. Ein Auto ist notwendig, jedoch ist man in kurzer Zeit an vielen verschiedenen Orten und man darf sich nicht von den engen italienischen Gassen beirren lassen... In der warmen Zeit ist die Lage ideal, da es nicht zu heiss wird. Am Morgen und Abend kann gut gelüftet werden, da eine leichte Brise geht. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und falls wir wieder in diese Region reisen, werden wir sicher wieder anfragen! Vielen Dank für diesen tollen Aufenthalt.

Perfect location for the perfect holiday

We spent a wonderful summer holiday at Max’s and Megan’s farm near Lake Garda. The farm is situated up the hills, just a few minutes drive from the beautiful town of Salò, offering a great view over the Italian countryside. The perfect place to relax after an exciting day of sightseeing, enjoying a glass of Max’s delicious red wine and watching the goats playing on the roof of the garage. The apartment has the perfect size for a family of 4. It is very cozy, clean and well equipped. Max and Megan are lovely hosts and always made us feel very welcome at their home. They were always happy to give us recommendations for some good sightseeing trips around Lake Garda and for the best Pizzeria in the surroundings. We are definitely looking forward to coming back to this beautiful spot.

Sehr saubere, ruhige Ferienwohnung in schöner Lage!

Die Ferienwohnung liegt ruhig, oberhalb des Gardasees. Bis zu sehr schönen Stränden sind es nur 5-10 Minuten mit dem Auto. Bis zur nächsten Stadt Salo sind es 5 Minuten. Dort gibt es eine schöne Uferpromenade, Bars, Restaurants etc. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber. Besonders gut war, dass alles Notwendige bereits da war: Salz, Pfeffer, selbst produziertes, hervorragendes Olivenöl, Küchentücher, Toilettenpapier etc. Zudem durften wir uns an frischen Kräutern aus dem Garten bedienen. Auf dem Gut, zu dem die Wohnung gehört, werden Wein und Oliven angebaut. Zudem gibt es Tiere wie Schafe, Ziegen, Hühner und einen kleinen Hund, was für Kinder sehr schön ist. Die Gastgeber waren sehr nett, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert!

Appartement au calme, dans un lieu reposant

L'appartement est bien situé dans un domaine paisible pour ceux qui désirent un séjour au calme. Très bel accueil des propriétaires qui se sont montrés disponibles et d'une agréable gentillesse. L'appartement est bien équipé, propre, mais il manquait un lave-linge. Nous ne pouvons que recommander ce lieu, proche du Lac de Garde tout en étant au calme.

My husband and i moved back to Italy in 2003 to continue the family farm where we produce organic olive oil and the most fabulous red wine! We also grow our own organic vegetables which we share with family and friends. We feel very privileged to have such a beautiful place where we can bring up our two girls in such tranquility and beauty.

Why they chose this property

The family bought the property having lived in the city of Milan for over 30 years and wanted the space to relax and feel totally away from city life and return to their original routes being the Lake Garda. The property most certainly does this. However, it still has convenient access to all amenities all within a short drive. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway which is away from the crowds this property is definitely for you.

What makes this property unique

The biggest benefit of the property is that it's very spacious, which always surprises clients when they first enter. This gives you the space to feel completely relaxed whilst staying here.
