About the host
Hosted by Claire Winterton
We're Ian and Claire. We moved to France in 2007 because we wanted an adventure and could speak a little bit of French from school. We were lucky enough to find a job in Castres, so rented an apartment there for a few years. In 2010 we bought our house in Boissezon. We fell in love with the village and the friendly locals have welcomed us into village life. We spent a few years renovating the house, and also the gite next door, which we are told was originally a wine and wood shop for the village.
Why they chose this property
When we started house-hunting we were looking for a charming French village that we could be a part of. We wanted to be fairly remote but with facilities not too far away. We knew this house was the one for us straight-away as it was in a perfect spot tucked away on its own up a track away from the village.
We love living away from the crowds and surrounded by trees, but the supermarket and market town of Castres are only 15 minutes away.

What makes this property unique
The gite's location on a famous walking route makes it ideal for anyone who enjoys the outdoors.
