Great space and location
I stayed here for three months while working as a travel nurse at a nearby hospital. The location was great, I could walk to work, grocery stores, and bars/restaurants. It is also close to a number of bus lines to get around the city or to the BART. The space was great, very open with lots of natural light; the outdoor space on the roof was a nice bonus. Having a garage parking spot was absolutely wonderful. I only used my car when I was escaping the city and it was a huge relief not to have to worry about street parking. The property manager, John, was prompt in answering any questions I had. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to San Francisco.
Good location and stay, with some limitations
Comfortable, modern apartment. Having 2 bathrooms was nice. The building has a great roof terrace.
Note that neither bedroom is private; as stated in the overview the 2nd floor is open as a loft, with a queen bed. However, the first floor "bedroom" does NOT have a wall / door. It is an area right at the entrance behind the kitchen, with closet and a window, that could be used as a bedroom if it were enclosed. It is setup as a den with futon and desk. The current set-up has it divided from the rest of the apartment by closet doors that resemble privacy screens (they were described in follow-up exchanges as French doors, but they are neither French nor real doors). The area is effectively open to the rest of the apartment for light and sound, and right in front of the entryway (they are only about 6 feet high). Would suggest that the owner add pictures of this area and the privacy screen to the listing. The setup is fine for a short stay and/or people that don't need much privacy. Also note that the apartment is right next to a Buddhist temple, so every morning at 8am (including weekends) you'll hear very clearly the drums from their service. Also had to do some significant clean-up upon arrival, but assume that'll be corrected for future stays as we notified the owner that her cleaning crew didn't do a great job.
There are some nice restaurants within a half mile walking distance from the apartment, including Little Star Pizza, Nopa, and Urbana (great taco Tuesday deal). You can also walk to lower pac heights, where there are nice shops as well. It also very close to a stop for many company shuttles (E.g., Genentech, Google, Box)
We had a longer-term stay (3 months for the summer); overall had a good experience with both the apartment and owner, and would stay again here again.
