This lovely seaside cottage is located a few paces from a sandy, west coast beach and close to the island's stunning cliffs. It is owned by a Guernsey family whose members lived on the homestead through the Occupation years. Available in the summer months, it is perfect for families, friends, nature enthusiasts, history buffs and beach lovers.

Breathe in the fresh sea air and relax to your heart's content in this stylish, rustic/modern, granite cottage. Enjoy sipping a drink on the front patio with views toward Rocquaine Bay and Fort Grey. Previously featured in Country Homes & Interiors magazine, the cottage features a working fireplace, exposed interior stone walls, tongue-and-groove boards, ship’s mast beams, distressed wood floors and a Shaker kitchen. Three bedrooms (one with en suite shower room), family bathroom and downstairs cloakroom. Small, sunny, fully enclosed back garden with decking, picnic table for six and bistro table for two. Washer/dryer/dishwasher. Fibre installed in 2025 provides robust wifi.

Close to the beautiful Pleinmont cliff paths and nature reserve, Fort Grey Shipwreck Museum and Second World War Occupation historical sites. Restaurant/pub with sunset terrace within easy walking distance. Nearby is a Pony Club/ABRS accredited riding centre that offers hacks and riding lessons.

Lovely holiday

We loved the location and house, even though we found the WiFi very slow at times. But we were on holiday so it made us slow down too! Siriol was a wonderful host. Guernsey is beautiful and we loved visiting Sark and Herm too. Great food in the restaurants too. We had a lovely holiday,.

Due to issues with the inter island ferry we were coming on being cancelled because of adverse weather conditions, sadly our trip was cut short to only 2 nights so we had to cram everything we wanted to do into one day so we didn’t spend any time at the cottage’s other than to sleep. However, everything we needed was in the cottage. It’s all as described in the blurb, Siriol was always quick to respond to our messages and meet us on arrival. I can highly recommend a stay here. We will be back!!

Perfect holiday in Guernsey

We all had the most wonderful holiday in Foxfire Cottage. The cottage is very comfortable and is in a great location with a beautiful sandy bay (perfect for a dip!) and lovely headland walks close by. Siriol was very communicative, helpful, warm and welcoming. Thank you, Siriol. We enjoyed our time in Guernsey very much and do hope to return.

A pleasant property but quite expensive for just the two of us and two dogs. We were expecting a lot therefore and found that in our opinion the cottage is a little tired and needs some TLC particularly the downstairs floors and things such as kitchen equipment which were lacking in a lot of ways And also the bed linens and towels and pillowsneeded replacing with new ones. Our host was very nice and arranged to have the TV which wasn’t working when we arrived fixed very swiftly for us. The property is in a very nice position very close to the sea and the beach for the dogs and handy for the local hotel if you’re too lazy to cook.

We felt there were not enough glasses to drink from and there were not enough towels in the bathrooms. However the shower in the en-suite was excellent although there was not enough light. The bed in main bedroom was excellent one bedroom had no curtains which was a bit of a problem

Marvellous property in a great location

The cottage is quaint and well-appointed, Siriol made us feel very welcome on arrival (and helped us pre-arrival to make sure we had provisions etc.) and shared some of the history of the property and her family. The cottage was equipped with brochures about the sights around the island, and even a parking disc. The location is really great, a stones throw from some great beaches and with facilities at hand (a hotel with bars and restaurant plus a beach side kiosk with hot snacks, drinks and ice cream). There were plenty of places to walk to from the cottage and driving further afield was easy and rewarded great views and interesting sights. We've arrived home thoroughly relaxed and refreshed.

Perfect Pleinmont!

We stayed at Foxfire Cottage for a week in September and we had a fabulous time. The cottage is a lovely historical building located literally minutes from the beach, a bus stop and a pub and restaurant. It really was the perfect base to explore Guernsey. All the rooms were comfortable, clean and cosy. We especially loved the stable doors at the front and back of the cottage! The Wifi at the cottage was a little patchy, probably due to the very solid stone walls! There was also some noise from the airport (possibly hard to avoid on an island). Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay. Thank you!

Wonderful stay in Guernsey

First of all, Siriol is a wonderful host who goes above and beyond to make her guests comfortable. She left us a loaf of bread with milk and butter upon our arrival and throughout our week was always available for whatever we needed, dropping off more dishwasher soap and even finding a DVD player for us when we asked if she had one. She is so warm and welcoming, and I loved hearing about her family’s amazing history in Guernsey ! The home is beautiful and in a great location. We loved the cottage feel of it and enjoyed our time there very much. Thanks Siriol for such a great week!

Liebevoll gestaltetes Cottage mit historischem Flair

Nach einer warmherzigen Begrüßung durch die Hausherrin Siriol haben wir uns direkt heimisch gefühlt. Sogar der Kühlschrank war mit dem Notwendigsten für den ersten Abend ausgestattet! Prosecco zum Start in den Urlaub... stilvoll! Die Insel ist sehr gut ohne Auto zu bereisen. Wandern stand bei uns ganz oben auf der Liste! Der Cliff Path ist eine Wucht!! Die häufigen Busverbindungen mit einer Haltestelle in der Nähe des Cottages lassen die Lage des Hauses als ideal erscheinen. Die Meeresnähe macht die Lage absolut perfekt! Siriol ist bei allen Dingen sehr hilfsbereit. Am Abreisetag haben wir noch einen Arzt benötigt. Siriol hat alles arrangiert! Herzlichen Dank für die sehr schönen Tage auf Guernsey und in diesem Cottage! Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

lovely cottage, near the beach.

We had a good very good stay at this cottage. There’s a little garden at the back and a bench at the front, when you look sideways you can see the ocean. You can start beautiful walks along the ocean right at the doorstep.
