A beautiful 3 bedroomed peoperty in the quiet seaside village of Beadnell. Located close to the beach and beautiful scenery of Northumberland its an ideal base to explore and enjoy this amazing area. Hilly Brow has 3 bedrooms; one double with ensuite and 2 single rooms. A beautiful family bathroom completes the upstairs. Downstairs there is a modern kitchen with dining area and a separate large lounge with patio doors onto a fully enclosed south facing back garden with decking and furniture. With mod cons you'd expect Hilly Brow is a lovely house ideal for a couple and smaller families!

A little gem in.

Booked this at very short notice, super fast response from the host who was more than happy to accommodate us with our large deerhound. The cottage is very nice, it's in a brilliant location, has everything you need if you are self catering, certainly wasn't 'disappointed ". The bedrooms were spotless and had plenty of storage, bedding was good quality, and had fresh smell. Overall, this is the best place we have stayed, and will definitely be going back. Thank you.

Dissapointed

We’ve stayed in this location / estate three times now at different nearby properties to this one. This one left us underwhelmed as we encountered quite a few issues which, because of the holiday/NY period, we felt had no option but to manage through. Issues included: Cleanliness on arrival - cobwebs present in two rooms, crockery /utensils not clean, grease on stove, backing trays, fridge seal mouldy and chopping board with dried food on, en-suite shower had mold/failed seal. Equipment - Basics for a 7 night self catering stay were missing from inventory including. No measuring jug, no sharp pairing knife, no oven dishes (pies/lasagne/stews not doable). First aid kit consisted of string, a bandage and anti-septic cream that went out date in 2015 Facilities - The freezer was just only just freezing things after we removed 2inch ice build up, back garden decking was lethal and a slip hazard with green algae and stone garden area beyond decking was poorly maintained. No outside lights worked at front - none to rear. The bedrooms and linen were all clean. Facilities and layout upstairs was really nice and homely. The property really is in a fabulous position for guests to take advantage of all in locality. There are however better accommodations nearby for same price available elsewhere. We’re sorry to have had to write this review and would be willing to share the photos we took with the owner if they wished to get in touch.

Perfect Base

Hilly Brow was a perfect base for us to explore the area. Just a few minutes walk from Beadnell Bay and a short drive to several other magnificent beaches. It is a well equipped holiday cottage with a deck area at the back which caught the afternoon sun which gave outside living space. The owner was very helpful with a couple of minor problems, having her maintenance team visit and carry out repairs very quickly indeed. We'll certainly keep this place in mind for future holidays in the area.

I'm a mum of two children who runs the cottage as a family home, it's warm and friendly and I'll try to accommodate people's requirements as best as I can. Being a mum I know what it's like to go on holiday with children so I've tried to include as many of the basic children's equipment as I can - cot, high chair, stair gates, bed guards etc etc. I can even provide a buggy if required!! Just ask and I'll see what I can do!

I'm passionate about the North East and think everyone should come and visit such a magnificent part of the country. I bought the house to provide a nice, clean and affordable place for people to stay and explore this beautiful area, I just hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
