Casa Kennedy, Tuscan Villa with Private Swimming Pool

Set in the stunning Tuscan hills and located within a charming village this lovingly restored 4 double bedroom house has its own private pool and secluded seating and sun lounger decking space. It is packed with original features and will provide the perfect space for you to relax while being an ideal base to explore the region. The fully equipped kitchen, three bathrooms (one with roll top bath, one en-suite) and comfortable queen size beds will ensure that you have every convenience and comfort during your stay. The layout of the house with two large bedrooms (one with en-suite) and a dedicated bathroom on each of the upper floors makes this an ideal place to come for 2 couples or families and friends. Outside the swimming pool is completely private with lots of space and sun loungers for relaxing and idling away the warm, beautiful Tuscan days; there is an outside dining table and chairs along with a BBQ and lighting as you sit outside long into the night and share stories, laughter and fun with your friends and family. Adjoining the pool and seating area is a brand new games room with Table football, bar seating area and darts, perfect for a fun night in!

Watching the sun set each evening is magical, listening to the sound of the crickets and feeling the heat of the days sun cool as night falls.

The villa is ideally located within 10 minutes of the spa town of Bagni di Lucca with its food markets, supermarkets, doctors, pharmacy, jewellery shops, clothes shops and restaurants; and a short and scenic 35 minute drive to the historical and unique Lucca. Within 60 minutes you can explore Pisa and Florence. Or you can take the train. It is an easy drive also to the coast - Portovenere is about 2 hours away and is a beautiful area to explore for a day.

A wonderful place with everything you could wish for. The house is lovingly furnished and has a beautiful charm. The location is secluded and peaceful with stunning views; easy to reach by car for trips to Pisa, Florence, or even the beach in Viareggio. Supermarkets are easy to get to, and you can enjoy a quick and delicious pizza right down in the valley at Bagni di Lucca. We would definitely recommend this villa. Communication was easy and straightforward. Thank you for the lovely stay!

We stayed 10 days in May/June at this amazing house. The communication with the owner and the check-in procedure were smooth and just great. Everybody was very supportive and caring. We were in good hands and felt comfortable at any time. The kitchen is big and offers everything you need. We loved the pool and the view is amazing. We had a great time and can definitively recommend this pearl of Tuscany.

Wonderful Home in the Garfagnana Tuscany Hills

A characterful, comfortable and very well equipped villa with stunning views in a peaceful village location. Casa Kennedy felt like a home from home with comfortable beds and spotless bathrooms as well as a very well equipped kitchen. A place to plant yourself and enjoy the serenity, the nature and the good natured locals and expats of Bagni di Lucca and its surrounding villages. To sample the special atmosphere of Pieve di Controne church be sure to walk there on a Sunday. A wonderful holiday on a special place. Grazie!

Idyllic Italian Base

A wonderful place with all amenities and extra little touches. The whole family enjoyed the break at Casa Kennedy and especially the pool. It was remote and peaceful with wonderful views but accessible with a car to get to Pisa, Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Tenuta Adamo winery and other places if you choose. We used the train network too. Drive up to Guzzano typical windy route. Able to stock up in multiple supermarkets at base of the climb up. Would highly recommend this villa one of our best holidays here! Maria ensured everything cleaned during our 10 night stay.

Family holiday onder the Tuscan sun

After a car travel of 13 hours we finally arrived in Guzzano. In our 14 days of holiday we enjoyed the local food and drinks. Visited winery, few cities, have been to the coast… Most important was the quality time with our family ( 8 persons) which we enjoyed in a typical Tuscan house. The house is equipped with all necessary items and the beautiful swimming pool. The welcome was very nice including the complementary bottle of Prosecco. On the downside it’s little bit harder to find a parking space. But overall I would recommend this villa to everyone who wants to enjoy a beautiful Tuscan environment.

Lovely stay near Bagni di Lucca

We stayed at Casa di Kennedy on a holiday with friends. The swimming pool had amazing views over the surrounding area. We loved reading books from the cute balcony with similar views. The house is located in a small and quiet village, 10 min drive from bagni di lucca. The house has an Old and authentic Tuscan feeling, which we enjoyed. The pool can be seen from the village road So is not completely private. I would recommend some more lighting in the outside area as a late dinner outside was a bit dark. We made it work however with some romantic candles. Would recommend this house to friends and families!

Fantastic location with wonderful vista

Casa Kennedy is in an idyllic location and provides more than all you need for a get away from it all holiday. The facilities are excellent with all the equipment you need for a great holiday being provided and the local lady who looks after the house was extremely helpful. It was absolutely wonderful to have the benefit of the pool to cool down in under the Tuscan sun whilst later in the day having the benefit of bedrooms in the house which did not require air conditioning. Just close the shutters, open the windows and a good nights sleep in the every comfortable beds is available despite the outside temperature. We were also able to enjoy the great restaurants in Bagna Di Lucca, one of which has gone to the top of our all time favourite holiday restaurant list. Maria was very helpful and responsive during the booking process and provided all the information required in a timely and complete manner. We really enjoyed our time in Casa Kennedy and would not hesitate to go back.

Stunning view

We were two couples travelling together, and I must say, that the house was really nice and big for us. And since the weather was not on our side, is was nice to sit in the big kitchen and livingroom. The pool was a bit smaller than we have expected (from the pictures) and is was very cold (probably because of the weather and that we travled in september). Beautiful walks by the mountains was great, and there was marking on the tracks, so you could go wrong. By car the distance to Bagni de Lucca is okay, but by foot, it is more difficult, and not recommand in the evening and night (the cars drives very fast on small roads). Anyway, we loved our stay, the stunning view, the big an well equipped kitchen and the most beautiful house.

Amazing vacation home for two families

The house exceeded all out expectations. The rooms are airy and well planned, the kitchen is amazing with everything you might need. (Only bad thing is the sink. It's not really a problem, but it's not so practical). The pool is awesome, perfect size for kids playing and grownups cooling off. We also really enjoyed the outdoor dining area as well. The views are just breath taking, and since the village is farther up the hill from Bagni di Lucca, it was just a little cooler than down in the valley with the raging heat wave. What we missed about the location were better hiking paths. You have to go everywhere by car if you don't want to risk your neck on the narrow hillside roads. Maybe we would have explored further options, but the heat wave made for a perfect excuse not to stay as physically active as we would have liked to be.

Very spacious, comfortable, loads of character!

We found the house after a long (seemed long but only 10 minutes or so) and winding journey up a mountain - and came to the village of Guzzano - sleepy, hot, peaceful - a perfect antidote for the stresses and noise and busyness of living in the south east of England! The house was lovely - full of character, bags or original features, comfortably furnished - and a great base for sightseeing. We Lucca, Pisa, Viareggio by car - and Florence by train which was so easy. Do take the trouble to visit the helpful lady in the tourist information office in Bagni di Lucca, she was able to to help us with trains and so on. Some great restaurants locally too, where we ordered things which we didn't have a clue what they were (lamentable Italian I'm afraid) but everything was fab. Local people very friendly and helpful. We had some lovely barbeques in the garden, watching the sun go down over the mountains, listening to crickets and owls. Maria sent lots of helpful information regarding the area in advance of our stay. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone - and hope to return some day too! Thank you Maria.

Schöner Urlaub

Die Unterkunft ist ein wunderschönes, älteres Haus und von der Einteilung her traumhaft. Besonders hat uns die große Küche gefallen. Die Vermieterin und die Verwalter, die direkt neben an wohnen helfen einem in jeder Lebenslage. Auch bemerkenswert, dass Sachen wie Gewürze Putzenmittel und Waschmittel sowie ein Weinregal vorhanden sind. Das ganze Haus einfach sehr gemütlich und schön eingerichtet ist. Der Garten ist klein, aber fein und der Pool samt liegen und der Tisch im Außenbereich sind sehr schön und es ist ein Platz, an dem man sich wohl fühlt.

Schöner Urlaub in der Toskana

-Haus wie beschrieben ( Einrichtung in die Jahre gekommen ). - Jammern auf hohem Niveau🙈😉 -Außenbereich für 8 Personen etwas zu klein ( aber ausreichend ) auch hier etwas Renovierungsbedürftig im Bereich Pool der Holzpaneele ( Bretter lose und Schrauben guckten raus ). Alles in Allem ein sehr schönes Häuschen….Auf jedem Fall Empfehlenswert 👍 - der ca. 5 km lange Serpentinen Weg in Dorf wurde ja schon in anderen Bewertungen beschrieben. Wir würden wiederkommen 😀

Stor, avskild, lugn villa i fantastisk omgivning i toskanska bergen. Kan verkligen rekommendera detta ställe. De enda negativa jag kan komma på om jag måste är att det är lite läskiga vägar att köra på med bil modell större. Men annars var allt jättebra :)

Why they chose this property

The area is mountainous and very beautiful and lends itself to a a lot of different holidays - cycling, trekking, walking, skiing (in winter), Culture (nearby Lucca and Florence, Siena, Modena) or simply relaxing in the absolute peace and quiet listening to nature and the gentle hum of village life. You feel like you are miles from anywhere but it could not be easier to get to Guzzano - one hour from Pisa airport and 3 miles from Bagni di Lucca which has many lovely restaurants, cafes, a theatre, hotels, shops etc.

What makes this property unique

Peaceful village life which is incredibly accessible to Pisa airport and local town of Bagni di Lucca. Very spacious house, can easily accommodate 8. Completely redecorated to a very high standard and has a very private swimming pool with wonderful views of the mountain
